Damn I hate to read you're still in it bad. All from this stop smoking pill? I'd say drop the pill and tell the VA doc to engage in a little heavy petting session with himself. Definitely seems like an instance of them not looking into their drug interaction chart; or are they relying on the pharmacist to do that? Either way, they both dropped the ball on this one.
Asking The Mother for health and healing, for my dear friend.
You know what the interesting thing is? The medication he was on (I had taken in the past) was Wellbutrin.. It activates some nicotine receptors (which is thought to help smoke less easier) and having the interesting side effect of making tobacco taste a type of awful that may induce vomiting!.. I was a cannabis smoker at the time, so I don't think your... not getting along with the medicine had anything to do with that! Though it certainly did interact, most anti-depressants do.
It certainly altered the taste for me.. Permanently (though I only took it for a week), which my doctor informed me it should not do... Only while taking it. But it seemed to allow me to "notice" some underlying taste that is now always present. Cigarettes make me feel sick now!
My doc' did emphasize that the taste change is mainly what helps people quit tobacco with the medication... I wonder if OMM shared with his 'doctor of prescription' know of his lack of taste buds...
Had to bold the last part! We wouldn't want people taking it out of context... You have a wonderful sense of taste, my friend!
