You know what the interesting thing is? The medication he was on (I had taken in the past) was Wellbutrin.. It activates some nicotine receptors (which is thought to help smoke less easier) and having the interesting side effect of making tobacco taste a type of awful that may induce vomiting!.. I was a cannabis smoker at the time, so I don't think your... not getting along with the medicine had anything to do with that! Though it certainly did interact, most anti-depressants do.

It certainly altered the taste for me.. Permanently (though I only took it for a week), which my doctor informed me it should not do... Only while taking it. But it seemed to allow me to "notice" some underlying taste that is now always present. Cigarettes make me feel sick now!

My doc' did emphasize that the taste change is mainly what helps people quit tobacco with the medication... I wonder if OMM shared with his 'doctor of prescription' know of his lack of taste buds... ;)

That makes a lot of sense THsea. I was on Welbutrin also. I noticed that cigarrettes did not taste good at all but I still smoked. It also altered my taste on almost everything. It was weird and I did not like it. I was prescribed for a depression. It really didn't help much for that either. It did not seem like a strong drug but I am not surprised of the reaction. Chemical compounds from drug companies are more risky than any type of weed. And that is a fact!

I finally got a response from HDOA about happy frog... here's the reply.

In 2007, Fox Farm Happy Frog Potting Soil was not allowed entry into Hawaii based on an ingredient formulated in this product. Check out the OC Organic Soil. They sell it at most hardware stores. They also have regular potting soil too. That is what I used last grow and I really liked it.
 
going to be needing more soil soon enough I will def look for this!

Hello All......Yes I'm still alive! I think! :thumb:

It's been some ruff days for OMM. I am feeling better, but still a bit shaky. I'm sure I've lost some weight. I've been throwing up and have had some bad diarrhea for days. Been trying to eat, but everything tastes terrible. Ensure has kept me alive. I am starting to feel human again. My body has been cleaned out......and I mean cleaned out! That's probably been a good thing. I think every last trace of the "Stop Smoking" pills are gone.

I think those pills and the ones I usually take, did not agree with each other at all. Jo has been ill too and can hardly walk. What a few days this has been.

I have been watering my girls and they are growing like crazy. They will be going into flower this next week and some will be going outside, thank goodness. This will be my last big grow. From now on it will be at most 5 or 6 plants if that.

I'm sorry to say, for once I will not answer all your posts individually, I just don't feel up to it. I feel so lucky to have such caring and loving friends and I thank you for all your good wishes and love you have shown me. I am a lucky man. Thank You all! :Love::Love:
 
I am very glad to hear that you are ok. The symptoms sound almost like food poisoning. Those pills are nasty. Hope you feel better soon.

I smoked cigs for 23 years, been clean for 7. Took a decade to get my mother to quit after 55 years of smoking, she is now 2 months clean. If we can do it, so can you and Jo. :Love: Sending you both all my love and positive healing energy through the Universe. :Namaste:
 
Just get better, OMM. Don't try to rush anything right now just cause you're feeling a little better. Lay back and take it easy as much as possible. Sorry to hear Jo is feeling down and out too, both need to be taking care of each other as much as you can. Get well.

LED over HPS? Well it wood be alot closer if ya had your MH bulbs going. And it's hard to compair. Plants all grow different. And you are only vegging inside right? If ya have a flippable ballast and MH bulbs give them a try. They help keep shorter spacing at the nodes. I think I'd stay with the larger plants. Espceaily if you are going to finish them outside. Yield will be a big difference. They look great. YOU take care of yourself, and Keepem Green

Why should prayer freak anyone out? It's the thought that counts. Now if you showed up at OMM's door with some cow's blood or something then we would worry. Nothing is wrong with prayer no matter what religion you follow. I am right there with you praying for him, James and even myself.

Well, things have not been getting better. Now I'm peeing blood. Guess I will be going to the emergency room at the military hospital...hate to do that..they usually keep me for a while. THsea will keep you posted.
