i got to agree, treat people only how you would expect them to treat you, i mean their does need some authority at some point but their is a right way of doing things and a wrong way

Exactly as you pointed out There has to be authority and common sense. Better known as respect.
im always around mate, i check in on that many journals its gets crazy sometimes, but im still here, reading and learning as i go along and pass advice on to those that need it, im so glad i can now pass on what ive learned to others, and to think i knew nothing at all till i came across this site, and this site is the best by far of its type,

Hi Xlr8. I really did love that job. Without me knowing it, it was preparing me to teach college much later in life. Before I was retired because of cancer, I had one more very good job in the Army...but that's another story.
Old, educated with alot of good life experience. You can be a amazing or scary bro. I'm just average but almost old lol. I can't manage people I think, no traing in that. I'm very mechanically inclined and my car never breaks down lol. I'm glad I took the time to befriend you here in the forums. Its alot of fun to read your stories and posts.

Well, that makes two us glad you befriended me. I have always had much respect for your growing knowledge and your mechanical skills and your mind. I could never do what you do. I have had a hell of a good life. Mostly because I'm one nosy SOB. Survived a war, 3 kinds of cancer, and am still here. Makes me kind of permanently happy. As long as folks like my stories....there will be more coming. I hope you enjoy living as much as I do. To me this is the only life we will ever have, may as well enjoy it.

Hate to say it but, the last I heard the Pentagon had 8 OE teams there. Unfortunately they were all the old farts and had no rank under full bird Colonels. Don't think that worked out.

This story is way before I met RS and went back into the Service and ended up in Greece.
I had been hired by Thrifty Drugs in California as a Manger Trainee and assigned to the Vallejo .Store, so I moved the family down to the small town of Benicia, It was on the Carquinez Strait. The wind blew there like crazy, but it was cheap.
I went to work the first day and the Vallejo Manger said “Didn't they tell you that they had changed their mind and you are assigned to the Napa store?”. “Ah, no they didn't”.
Off I went to Napa. Truthfully it was a much better town than shipyard Vallejo. I liked the job and was promoted to second man in a little over a year. The money was good so I moved the family to Napa. This is where I first met Katy. She was a specialist and helped each store to set up the Camera and Cosmetics departments.
She was a little red head and the first time I met her she flirted with me big time. .She had a body to kill for. Oh! I liked Katy, but was married and that was that. Three years later we got a divorce….we wanted to raise our kids in a totally different ways. Example, I liked to play ball with my boys. She would come out make us stop, someone could get hurt!
They were boys…they would get hurt!
I moved in with one of the girls from the store. She had a house in Yountville and I loved it. She made it very clear that I was not her type and liked big old dudes in jeans and plaid shirts. Fine by me. We were really good friends and we would drive over the redwoods and eat some nice vegetables and lay in a field and watch the sky catch fire.. Good times. Good toadstool veggies.
We both had sports cars. I had An Austin Healy and she had an MBG, We used to roar around the mountains and race. This was back in the day that if another sports car was coming we would wave at each other. Kinda like an unspoken club. .. . .

By the way, if you were worried about my wife. She lived 3 years without working..
I was one of those stupid men that came home and just gave her my paycheck. She was always telling we were broke.. Right!
By then I was getting pretty horny. I went to a country western bar down in Vallejo, it was a dead night and I was leaving. As I got to the door, there was Katy and a couple of her girl friends coming in.. She stopped me and asked what I doing. I said, well I’m divorced and I’m out looking around.. She turned to her girls fiends and had a little talk and they left.. We went back in and sat at a table. The first words out of her mouth was “What do you like for Breakfast?”.
