HUGE BUMMER miwa That really sucks !!!!
I did pop in to thank you, miwa and OMM and Closet F. .......I checked your journal miwa ....First let me say that before I go into panic mode I do a lot of reseach before asking but I guess I needed to hear from others ....... My funny looking clones are starting to have those curly leaves (good thing) and I was reassured by Closet F. that they will be fine ....I guess I knew that but as very attentive growers like us I maybe over think things .........I saw the funny leaves and was scratching my head....MY problem is that I check them every hour and expect a change ........I'm learning to be a Patient with patience
Thanks guys

My condolences too. That would be a real hard thing to have happen. Hope you get up to speed soon. That must be weird to have those sudden storms that can just rip through without much warning. :peace:

clayhead no sweat....everyone of us....have had the same thoughts...we all check them at first...very closely.

Slowly we realize it's got to grow roots first, then leaves. I remember my first 60 day flower period seemed like 4 months.
:high-five:

I wondered where you went...life gets in the way sometimes. Pop in when ever you can.

The Story Continues………....……… OE…..The Army Company that went on Strike

We were quite busy in the OE office, so Lea and I got this job. A quite frantic Company Commander called us and told us that no one in his company was working; it was like they were on strike.

We made an appointment for the next morning and went over to see him. We had him sign off on the usual papers and then we interviewed him. He was an aircraft pilot that could no longer fly and they had given him a Supply Company to command.

That was the first problem we found. Most pilots do not go the through Command School. In other words he had no idea how to run a combat company. Poor man

Then we just went out and walked around the company just to get a feel for the place. What we found was just as he had told us…no one was doing a thing. If fact some of them were playing softball.

We looked in the office for the First Sgt. His personnel Sgt said he was with his troops in a meeting. We found the meeting room and slipped in the door. He was screaming at his troops at the top of his lungs. I mean Drill Sgt screaming.. We slipped back out and found the personnel Sgt and asked him if he would setup things so we could interview all the troops in groups. Which he was glad to do.

The next morning we started the group interviews. After we told them that their answers would be anonymous, we couldn't shut them up.

To quickly sum up what they told us. The main thing was that First Sgt ran the place and the CO just hid in his office. The also complained that there was no other officer to go to. Usually there was at least one 2nd Lt. to help the Commander in most Companies.

The First Sergeant was never happy with they're work, no matter how hard they worked, so they had just quit. Most just didn't even want to be in the Army any longer.

We went back to OE Office and talked things over with the Captain and the Major.
They were just as shocked as we were.

What happed?

First, we broke out own rule and went to see the Captain's Division Commander and told him what was going on. He too was shocked and was mad as hell at his own office chain of command. He immediately had them assign two 2nd Lts to the Supply Company.
The First Sgt was relieved and asked to retire. Actually he was forced to retire. Booted.
The Captain was told to take an Army Correspondence course on how to be a Company Commander. No computers back then.

3 months later Lea and I went for visit to the Supply Company. It was running like a top.
The Commander greeted us with a big smile and thanked us profusely.. He told us he was a new man and that we had saved his career. Lea and I did allot of hand slapping on the way back to the OE office. Job done

To be continued.....................................................................A sexy Lady revisited

Love the story! I have been in that position the troops were in before. In civilian life.

It is sad that some people think by bullying they will get what they want from other people. What they get is resentment and counter production.

That First Sergent got what he deserved. You really had a great job in the military. Really sounds like fun going to different units and whipping them in proper shape from the Top Down. We need more units like the one you were in Now. Just think of how much good you guys would do.

NICE JOB in the OE! I'm glad they at least had correspondence courses for the CO to take. Turned it around like a champ! Well done.

A sexy lady revisited? Bed Breaker?

A Red Head...I think I have talked about her before in parts...but not beginning to end. Quite a Woman. :hippy:

Truly we went out of our shell to do it. Out side the rules of OE. But it worked.

Hi C F. Absolutely...treat people like you would like to be treated, with respect. Works wonders. :high-five:

I had the best job in the Army, no piss test either.......but things change, but that's another story.

When I worked for HPU we had staff meetings/committee meetings. One time we were deciding on a new Dean and I threw an OE idea out....and a guy down the table goes "OE! You have had OE Training!". He was retired from the Army too. We shook hands and smiled. Then we had to Explain what the hell was OE?
Unfortunately for us, from then on we attended almost every meeting.:smokin2:

Believe me I wish I was still doing it.
