My First Time: AK47 & Gold Bar Kush

MrGreene and I have been talking. He has a strain ready to go into flowering from which I would love to have some seeds. And I am growing a Chemdawg that he's in love with and would love some seeds from her. So we're about to start a dual seed making party. If we're both successful we will meet up either here at my place or at his at which time we'll give each other 100 of the seeds we've made.

This will be with each of us reversing with colloidal silver our female plants. Our goal will be to pollinate enough buds to make 300-400 seeds and save the rest of the plant for smoking or edibles.

Both of our plants were just up-potted into their final pots. We'll give them a week to stretch out their roots. So on Monday the 18th we will begin applying the colloidal silver to a single branch on our respective plants. We will apply it at lights on and then right before lights out, every day until we see female pollen sacks. Seven days after we begin applying the colloidal silver (flip on 2-25) will will flip out plants into their flowering light cycle. Mine will be 11/13, I am not sure what MrGreene will be running.

Anyone have a plant that they are ready to flip in the next two weeks who would like to join in with us and see if we can make some seeds? I think it will be a lot of fun and a good learning experience.

MrGreene will tell you about his plant for this project when he gets time.

Let me tell you about mine.

I was recently gifted a Top Shelf clone of the infamous Chemdawg strain. The breeder was Humboldt Seed Organization. I have a feeling this plant is going to perform beyond my expectations. I took two cuttings off of her on the 27th I believe of January and they were showing roots by the 6th of February. Here is a photo I took of her this morning. My first time using a fabric pot and I found out they dry out a bit more quickly then a plastic pot. She was droopy last night. I watered her this morning and she has mostly bounced back.

I hope some/a few of you guys and gals will join us. Who know we might all live close enough to get together to share some seeds.

I was gifted a GelatOG that I'll be treating with colloidal silver for this project. She got topped last night and put into a fabric pot. I'm still using the swick so I don't have to water so often. Like Beez said, we plan on starting the project on Monday. If anybody has a plant that'll be ready to flower in the next couple weeks we would love to have you join in and make some seeds also. If several of us do it then we could do a seed exchange and broaden our selections. Feel free to join in even if you're a bit late. If you don't know how then I'm sure Beez will help us get it right. The plan is to brush 50ppm colloidal silver onto the selected branch starting one week prior to going into flower and continuing until pollen sacks are present. Then we will apply that pollen to a couple of buds and if all goes well we will have a lot of fem seeds. Seems easy enough.

Just a couple more days and we'll bet getting started. This is the first plant I've tried to grow in a fabric pot. @MrGreene and I finally figure out what was going on with my Chemdawg plant in this fabric pot. She was not getting enough water and trust me she was getting a pretty good amount. I didn't take into consideration that the fabric pots dry out faster (DUH) and need to be watered more often. The plant is looking perfect and ready to make some S1 fem seeds. I think everything is all good to go now. I've got the branch to be treated picked out and trimmed pretty much all the leaves off of it and marked it with a white pipe cleaner. Here she is in my 2' x 2' tent...…..she fills it pretty much completely.

It's almost time. The colloidal silver, artist brush, and GelatOG are all ready. I'll be switching my veg timer today so that lights off and lights on both happen in the evening and I'll be able to apply the CS twice in the evening. I'm running 18/6 so lights will go off about 5:30 which will give me time to treat her after work and come back on around 11:30 for the second treatment before bed time. GelatOG is the biggest plant in the pic. It looks like there will be ten tops as long as all the lower ones catch up. I topped her a couple days ago and she didn't seem to notice. The top was put into a clay pot of soil. I cut off two huge fans and scratched the stem, then watered her. She hasn't even looked droopy in her new home. Let's hope that means she's rooting quickly.

I don't envy you having to deal with those huge leaves and trying to get to your "designated branch" with a paintbrush. I've grown a plant with large indica fan leaves before but nothing like the Gelat.OG from @SeedsMan . She is shaping up to be a beauty.

I just finished the second colloidal silver treatment to the selected branch. Twice a day isn't so bad when I can do it in the evening like this. Treatment during flower might be more of a challenge. Anyway, the branch was marked with a white twist tie so I won't lose track of which branch it is. Let's see if we can turn part of this she into a he.

We must have been brushing on the colloidal silver at about the same time. This was my third application of the CS. I pay close attention when brushing it on around the nodes where a leaf or branch are growing off the branch. The spots where the male flowers will show up eventually. I wish a few people had joined us but doesn't look like it.

For me I set an alarm on my flip phone telling me when it's time to brush on the CS. I would remember most times, but I don't want to miss even one application.

I am officially back into the routine. I was standing in front of the tent this morning with colloidal silver and paintbrush in hand a minute before the lights came on. There before the alarm to open the tent and apply the CS. A couple quick pictures of the Chemdawg girl this morning. The last photo shows a white pipe cleaner wrapped around the treated branch.

Well you'll just have to follow along to see how things progress. I have a Chem 91' X Cherry Alien Dog growing in a 1 gallon pot and she's not happy to be there. She's almost screaming for a bigger pot.

Looks like I’m just in time for this seed making party! I’m not ready to make seeds just yet as I’m nearing a harvestin both tents but my next round of girls you can garuntee I am trying to reverse a girl and get some fem pollen! Excited to tag along

Well i happen to have a 50 ppm bottle of Cs thats been laying around for months. If i can find one of my exes paintbrushes i'll start tomorrow. Be my first attempt. Maybe ya'll will keep me from getting lazy with the brushing hahaha
I'm excited to have you joining in. Looking forward to seeing things progress. Be sure and share some pics here. Oh, I bet you can use a Q-tip if you can't find a small paint brush.

@Kismet ..………...how far along is the plant you're wanting to reverse? My plant and that of MrGreene are a week from being flipped into flowering. We are applying the CS this whole week before we flip them on Monday.

I have to be honest, I did not apply the colloidal silver to my plant last night prior to lights out. The 11 month old Boston Terrier pup somehow got the lid off a bottle of canna pain cream and ate a little before Lisa caught him. So at 11pm last night she was feeding him charcoal and I took him for a walk for about 45 minutes and completely forgot.

I urge everyone with pets and children reading this post to please be more responsible then we were and keep your canna medicine and creams in a secure location away from your pets and children.

The pup has a bit of an upset tummy this morning (probably from the charcoal) but is otherwise alright and bouncing off the walls like normal. We got lucky this time.
