MrGreene and I have been talking. He has a strain ready to go into flowering from which I would love to have some seeds. And I am growing a Chemdawg that he's in love with and would love some seeds from her. So we're about to start a dual seed making party. If we're both successful we will meet up either here at my place or at his at which time we'll give each other 100 of the seeds we've made.
This will be with each of us reversing with colloidal silver our female plants. Our goal will be to pollinate enough buds to make 300-400 seeds and save the rest of the plant for smoking or edibles.
Both of our plants were just up-potted into their final pots. We'll give them a week to stretch out their roots. So on Monday the 18th we will begin applying the colloidal silver to a single branch on our respective plants. We will apply it at lights on and then right before lights out, every day until we see female pollen sacks. Seven days after we begin applying the colloidal silver (flip on 2-25) will will flip out plants into their flowering light cycle. Mine will be 11/13, I am not sure what MrGreene will be running.
Anyone have a plant that they are ready to flip in the next two weeks who would like to join in with us and see if we can make some seeds? I think it will be a lot of fun and a good learning experience.
MrGreene will tell you about his plant for this project when he gets time.
Let me tell you about mine.
I was recently gifted a Top Shelf clone of the infamous Chemdawg strain. The breeder was Humboldt Seed Organization. I have a feeling this plant is going to perform beyond my expectations. I took two cuttings off of her on the 27th I believe of January and they were showing roots by the 6th of February. Here is a photo I took of her this morning. My first time using a fabric pot and I found out they dry out a bit more quickly then a plastic pot. She was droopy last night. I watered her this morning and she has mostly bounced back.
I hope some/a few of you guys and gals will join us. Who know we might all live close enough to get together to share some seeds.
