So, I went down to check on the ladies today, and I saw an intruder. I was going to chase him away. But, I thought i'd let him stay as long as he stays away from my plants.
Day 30 flower.
Went down to check on the ladies today. I open the flower box and the light in there is really dim. Like maybe 20% of what it should be. I think .... maybe the bulb is bad. I unplug the ballast, replace the bulb with the spare. I plug the ballast in and it goes "POP" ..... so I changed the fuse and plugged it back in. It went POP again. So, I have to run down to pick up a new ballast. I get home with the new ballast and I finally get it all up and working again. And ....... bam ...... the bulb blows out. So, I changed the bulb ... again and now it's working just fine. Talk about pissed off. So, I bought a new ballast and emailed the company to see if I can get a replacement. If they send me a new one .... I'll keep it as a spare.
The before, I get a hair up my ass and decided I am going to defoliate half the plants in my flower box. So, I tool the two that had the droopiest branches and stripped them down like the other one. They really seemed to like it. The branches got to stand back up easier. And, after 24 the white hairs on the buds got notacibly longer. The smaller flowers on the bottom are also getting light now and have grown in size. It was a noticble difference right away. And, all the leaves I left behind area now about half covered with a misting of trichomes. I like the way it's turning out. I am going to leave the other three plants. I want something to compare them too.
Here's is a really good example of a supercrop that ended up turning out really well.
Here's some more bud porn
Here's a good look at the veg box. Nothing to complain about in there.
After looking in on my seedlings, I noticed that the lowest sets of leaves are yellowing. So, I'll bump up the nutes just slightly. And, I figure they just need more light. I only had two double T5's in there and each bulb is only 14w ..... so I went and picked up two more fixtures. So, there is now a total of eight 14w two feet long T5's. Twice as much light .... and it's about a total of 120w. But, when I went to wire them all together, I had one of them short out. I had to pull all the lights down and re-wire them (daisy chain them) together. But, it is such a pain in the ass to take them all individually down and try to fight the wires and all that. So, I took a board that fits in the space and mounted all four fixtures to the board. Then, I wired them and put a plug on them. So, if they need work. I can remove the entire board just by unplugging it. I can take the board and put it on the table in my shop and work on it. Then plug it back in when it's fixed. That way, I don't have to stand on a damn bucket an lean inside the clone box area and hope the bucket don't tip over ..... LOL. Anyway, I think they like it this way.
