Mmmmick 288W LED Development SCROG White Widow

hi Ibezphil, I'm glad that you enjoyed it. I sometimes feel that I go into too much detail about my screwups or fixes but too much info is probably better than too little. I hope there's some usefull stuff in here for somebody.

Thanks for taking the time, I appreciate your comments.:welcome:

Waiting on amber in the Mangos. Trichs are mostly cloudy but only a few amber so far. The remaining White Widow has turned into some kind of fluffy mess so I'll concentrate on the mangos but leave the WW under the scrog until the mangos finish. I will use the Widow for edibles. I had hoped it would finish well because it was the largest of the three widows but it also was most deeply affected by the reveg problem and it didn't seem to like the heat much either. I may move it to the temporary cabinet that the extra mangos were in after these finish.
The Mangos are gaining a bit of weight but the buds aren't as thick as the two extra Mangos were. The extras didn't reveg as they were under a different led and hadn't been set to 13/11 lighting sched. I still believe 13/11 is worth doing but it's obviously very important that the buds are all set before adding the extra hour of "on" time.

I'm considering going to 11 on 13 off to see if that will help these girls amber up.

The survivors, single WW on the left.

dAAAAAMNNNN! them ladies looking so delicious:goodjob::welldone::peacetwo: man send me one lol good lookin for real!

Thanks Nasty. Now that I've got some stash on the side I'm more comfortable waiting for these ladies to finish.

Hey weedtastic, sorry I took so long to get these pics up.

These WW tops are all air, but they smell decent. Definitely got the worst of the reveg and heat during flowering. The mango tops are still fairly tight.

I did a little more airflow work in the grow room. Moved my fan from the exhaust to the intake and sealed the door so the room is always pressurized. Until I get out to get another fan for the exhaust side I won't have any carbon filtration but that should be for a few days only.

Bummer about the WW fox-tailing out like that. It may still be good stuff though, otherwise I'm sure it'll make some wicked hash.

Hi endive. Yeah it does suck to some extent but it is the best smelling of the three widows I had so maybe the best potency. I have a surviving clone of that one so I can run that pheno again once the clone kicks in.
Thanks for dropping in.

Some of the best buds I'v tried were airy/foxtail like...but Im not that picky,lol...
It looks pretty dank to me,and you never know it could be crazy good...
Good job though,

Hi jsu, you can be sure I'll smoke a few bowls before deciding what to do with that one.
Thanks for having a look.

Hey Mmmmick Believe it or not, I've finally caught up with you. You know the reasons why.

I think we all have depression by the way. With me I have it for while and don't even realize it. Then it dawns on me that everything sucks.....and I slowly get out of it. You just don't know how much you've helped me out in the last week!
Was skimming along the bottom for a while...then you showed up and helped me out of it! Thank You! :)

Sorry I haven't dropped in before this Mmmmick, most educational. May I say that as a former engineer, nothing tops seeing a well thought out design, and successfully executed build.

A tip of my hat to you sir. Well done.

In the grand scheme of things, there is nothing wrong with light, airy, or foxtailing as long as it does the job for which you were seeking.

What's up Mmmmick, sorry to hear about the WW. Pretty sure they will make for some great food for you on a rainy day. The Mango's are some nice looking plants and look like they are going to make up for the airy ww. Good luck my friend...

Hello my friend. Don't forget to pace yourself. We don't want you burning out by trying to do everything in one shot.:peacetwo:

Depression has a way of sneaking up on us. Life comes with a lot of stress these days and even though we handle it and move on, it leaves a little damage each time. Sometimes the damage gets ahead of us, but once recognized, it can be dealt with. If I've added a bit of positive energy to your life then I've done the same for mine. karma will find a balance.
I marvel at the fact that you can live with your ex and neither of you are buried in the backyard yet, lol. Stresses that you aren't even aware of are present daily and you still present us with your great personality on a regular basis, so I think you're gonna be fine and you'll continue to inspire the rest of us.:peacetwo::tokin:

You're welcome OMM, you've done the same for me by example.:thumb:
Thank you.

hi mate...hmm funny looking things arn t they........bet the smoke will still be nice thou.....and there smelling better than the rest...thats interesting too....i guess only a smoke report will tell......more air flow eh ?......the girls will love it.........be lucky weedtastic

Hi weedtastic, hope you're having a great week and getting a little down time now and then for yourself.

Yeah, the foxtails are geting out of control on that widow. Really airy but stinks nicely. I think the airflow tweaks have helped with smell. I'm already looking forward to a grow in improved conditions.

Good to see you my friend.

Hi OldSkoool, welcome. Thanks for those positive comments. I missed on the airflow issue but thats easily addressed. I expected to make a few changes along the way and improved airflow should be of great benefit.

The airy buds will be of value even if it's only in th kitchen. But I'm willing to smoke them if they have better potency thn the others. If not they can go a future oil making session or butter if I run out soon.

Thanks for dropping in. I followed your link from OMM;s thread. Nice work on Wanda's offspring.:thumb: Hope you find a seed or two to continue the lineage.

Hi sonzor, good to see you. The WW will find a way to be of use to me but I did have high hopes for it being the best of the three. live and learn.
the mangos are coming along, starting to add some bulk and smell is improving. I find the strain to be quite a saisfying smoke and I think my airflow tweaks will help bring out the true nature of the strain next round.

Thanks for dropping in, my friend.:peacetwo:

Approximately 28 days after the chop, one of the widows I tried to regenerate has survived and started to put out single leaves showing that regen has begun.

The other plant died, probably because I didn't leave enough bud to keep it going. That one was stunted anyway and had only a third of the bag occupied by roots. I think the airflow problem was multi-faceted. I had exhaust air coming back into the room after venting and also air from indoors being drawn into the room due to the negative pressure of a powered exhaust and passive intake.
New fan coming for the intake, but for now the existing fan is used for intake and the exhaust is passive, no filtration. Room is positvely pressurized now so there will only be outside air in the grow room.
I use tobacco (yeah I know it's nasty) in the house and the plant that had the stunted roots was the first plant in the airstream that was flowing under my growroom door. I thought the slower growth was due to the mylar being pulled back to allow better ventilation during the hot weather this summer, but I think the tobacco in the air had more to do with the slowdown. Smell is generally improving in the room after a week of better air control.

This one shows how much vegetation was left on the plant.

Hi Mmmmick Thanks for your kind words. Actually Jo and I are getting alone good right now.....if I could keep her from her depression it all would be good. We have our moments. :Rasta:

That regeneration plant is coming along now.....Nice work! :):):):)
