Mars II 1600! Super Monster Scrog Pounder

Just curious, what's the highest watts per square foot you've used to get one gram per Watt in a SCROG? What are your best results?

I believe the correct way to phrase that would be the lowest is 25 but the plant was veg for 9 months. Now when you ask me this I grow 1 plant per net. My best was 1.47 running 1k. Monster train came in close at 1p 2oz only 2 144x3 500 from the wall that's 509g dry weight.. You can get big weight with long veg and small lights.

Dannggg CO F..... I wanna live by you bro!!! I subscribed to your youtube channel too!!!! :volcano-smiley: sicccckkkk growwww!!!

Thank you my friend. I appreciate your support and taking time to check out my YT..
P.S I wish you lived by me I could use a hand lol..

What distance do you have LED from plants? What distance do you put lower wattage LEDs at? I have 2 100x3 Old Style from TopLED and I experienced bleaching when they were less than 2ft away. Moved up to 2 feet and wonder if I'm ok. Does not continue bleaching which leads me to believe I am ok. However, if I am missing out on some kind of sweet spot I'm hoping to find out.

I've heard that light movers are great for LED because the LED are so intense that moving them back and forth helps relieves any stress. Any thoughts, anyone ever tried this?

Light movers are good for LED more because of the focus of the light than any stress-related issues. An led footprint is directly related to the size of the light. So, instead of spraying light in every direction like a typical HID/MH source, it is more directional. IMO, LED light will not stress a plant more than HID (if that was the insinuation).

My .02c

I LOVE :adore:Light Movers!
I've used a Light Mover for years, and if you have the space, get ONE! A no-brainer in my book! I've eliminated a lot of stretching, and increased my growing area with their use. Not to mention the amount of canopy penetration is upped by quite a margin! I use to turn my girls around, and around, and arou... you get the point. But the L.M. got rid of my merry-go-round. Now that I'm going to LED I'm psyched that I can get rid of some of my air ducting that was hooked up to my reflector. Another benefit to a L.M. is I can get my lighting closer to my girls due to the light movement, which would mean I can get even closer with LED, it will be one of the best options a grow room can have!
Okay... off the soap box, all in all, I'm thinking LED lighting can help to simplify you're Grow Room; at least in my menagerie grow room...:MoreNutes:

Have you used the Growology before or is this the first time? How is it? What got you to try it and what do you like about it Etc?

No I have not. So far it is doing great. What got me to try it is I have many many plants growing and I was looking for something to use on some of them where I do not have to mix all kinds of nuts and make tea's and all that stuff. I wanted something I can just throw in a gallon and feed plants. The start to finish series I will be only using it. Now I do have to add Cal/Mag when they are under the LED'S.

Have you exceeded 40? Just curious if you feel there is a point of diminishing returns. One of the Black Dog lights recommended coverage is like 60 watts per sq. ft. but I couldn't find any grow journals on it.

I run a 1k hps over a 5x5 net. Comes out too 40. No need to use more in my opinion

One of the main reason you can not find is a B/D is a over priced Mars...

Got some outdoor pic today. I think I timed it right with giving then nutes today to fix the nitrogen problem. The freaking rain every day has flushed them out to much this year.

I put this mars II 1600 in place of a 1k HPS about 2 weeks ago.. It seems to work great.. I have it set to travel about 10 inches.. my scrog is a 5' x 5' corner of a 10' x 10' tent.. I use the leftover space for a co2 generator, ac unit, dehumidifier and easy chair for kicking back with my ladies.. I have been dabbling in horticulture for a few years now.. I had been using an air cooled hood on the 1k hps and I grew close to the glass.. worried about the 5 watt leds in the 1600 and canopy height I started following this thread... the 1600 came so I slammed them under a net and flipped the lights 12/12.. I know my first real scrog is ugly.. but when I grew these out I wasn't thinking of scrogging them.. I'm going to train my next cycle into the net proper like..
