Inside The Mini-Tent, 150W LED, Going Coco For Tropicanna Bananna

Good morning, all!
Beautiful blue skies here and looking like it's going to be a hot one!

I tried the bottom feeding yesterday and she loved it. She took a lot more than I expected. I put about a litre in and within 2 minutes she had sucked it all up. So I topped her up again with about half a litre and it was gone this morning. She still has 2 hours until lights off.

How much should a 3 gallon (11.6) litre fabric pot be given with this method?

Cheers guys, will throw some photos up later today when lights are on
Morning burdok.
When I do this method with the mother plants, I carry on filling the tray untill it stops disappearing. The uptake will slow down, then stops. I'm in soil with the mother plants though, don't know if it's the same for coco.
Enjoy the sunshine bud, it's gonna be a blinder day.

That's what I did, anyway. She was left in an inch or so worth of feed by the time it stopped draining and she has sucked it all up. She's looking good. I upped her feed again, she's a a hungry girl. Leaves are looking darker after the stronger feed

It is the same with coco. I try to fill it up in the morning though I often forget and just add more when I can. Keep filling it up until it disappears.

What are your times that you feed? Currently I feed her half an hour after the lights come on and that's it. Do you feed more frequently?

How long is a piece of string? The truth is that I feed whenever I can. I try to feed them on the morning but life often gets in the way or I simply forget. An example is I need to feed them right now but I cant until the missus gets back as I'm looking after the kids lol. Today they will get fed at 4pm at the earliest. They will be fine. If I think that the pots have become too dry and salts are building up then I could always flush them with plain water and a feed afterwards

Fair enough, bud. I'm being super methodical but I think it's just because this is my first run with coco and a photo period plant. Also the space restrictions add a hurdle in itself.
Sadly the tent is going to have to be moved from that cupboard it is in at the moment. There is some working needing done in the room that was supposed to be my daughters before it can be decorated so I'm needing to take the tent into the other room now. Sucks because I'll hear the fan louder

If the fan is outside the tent, you can put it in a box, then baffle it maybe with some pillows or blankets inside. As long as the ducting is clear in and out either side of the box, it should be good.

I can relate to that. You'll get a feel for it soon enough. Provided the pots dont get completely dry you'll be fine. If you do notice any thing like severe tip burn or deficiencies then just flush the pot and start again. My favourite thing about coco is that it is easy to reset whereas soil problems can go on and on especially with organics.

Lister has a good idea which works. One of my friends put his extractor fan in a cardboard box and filled it with expanding foam lol. I don't recommend it if you want to see you fan again. it worked though.

I sleep with my head about 3 meters from the grow tents and you do get used to it. Again, not recommendable especially if you like silence at night

I'm thinking I'm going to flush her tomorrow, actually. Her leaves are still paler then I'd like and I've noticed a couple of not perfect leaves. She's getting real bushy now. I'll throw an update up tomorrow, not possible today sadly.

If it was just me then I'd have a massive tent and would sleep in it if I could. The stealth and silence is for my darling lady.
The box with foam is a good idea but I would never get it back.

Thinking this is the route to go, possibly. No space in the tent, sadly

I know how you guys feel, I’m pretty close to my garden too. I’ve also got some other machines that i run in my bedroom like ac and hepa purifier
lol. I find it difficult to sleep in silence now. I live in the country so there's no traffic or anything like that and it is eerily quite when the tent isn't operating. In between grows I have the opportunity to have a few quite nights but more often than not just leave the fans running lol

Howdy ho hi there, folks :ciao:

Good morning from Sunny Scotland!

So things in my situation have become a little complicated. There is work needing done in my flat and thus tradesmen will need to enter my property. I can delay this a couple of months, maybe. But it means that I will probably have to flip her before she is 100% where I'd like her.

Here is a photo of her this morning:

As you can see, I have a couple of tops peeping out the net already and just under fan leaves are a good few tops.

I know that the trellis needs to be filled 75% before flipping but I'm concerned about the weeks that will take and then I worry about not having enough net to control the stretch.

What do you guys think? Will I lose loads of bud? At this point, however, it's more likely that I'll need to finish this round quickly before the work needs to be done in my flat. It's not what I want but such is life. This certainly will not be the only girl the Mini-Tent sees!

Thanks guys,
I'll give a more detailed update later tonight after lights on and it's feeding time.

Hope everyone is safe and well :ganjamon:

Tuck your fan leaves underneath each other to expose more tops. I do that with my autos and you wouldn’t believe the difference.

i understand the time crunch. Your yield will definitely be effected if you flip before each of your tops is fully in direct light. Ideally, you want those little shoots to be big and thick before you flip. especially considering the drastic topping you did the first time around. Didn’t you micro top as well? You should really avoid topping if you want to get to harvest as fast as possible

The Tropicanna Banana has one hell of a stretch after being flipped so maybe you won't need to worry too much about reaching the net. Here's mine making a mockery of the 3 other strains. It's the top left....

I agree with @ChefDGreen, i usually defoliate to expose, this time I’m trying to tuck instead. I’m liking how it’s turning out. I even pin the fan leaves out of the way with garden hooks to hold them where I want them.
@ProfessorFlora thats Tropicanna Banana is looking great, how much height are you gaining roughy in stretch? (inches/day), I’m guessing I’ll be flipping mine this week. Just trying to get a rough idea.
