Inside The Mini-Tent, 150W LED, Going Coco For Tropicanna Bananna

I see what you mean about the light. Definitely a pass. @Canadadoes
Guess I'm just desperate to get the blurple gone already. Should have just invested in a good led before I bought this. I'll keep it and use it for seedlings when I can eventually upgrade to a more perpetual grow space.

I purchased a light from Justintime review its called enjo yield, great light check out the review, its got 2 settings veg and flower also has a timer, I use it to do my seedlings and most of my Veg in a closet I have setup with Mylar. Great Light, great Price, at least it was when I purchased it 8 months ago from amazon. Cheers

Nice bud, I'll check that out. I haven't heard of that page

Justin time led review google. Cheers, I think it will just fit in your tent but not sure, would kill your tent. Not google but youtube, CHeers

What’s up burdok, it’s been a minute since I’ve popped in. Your gal is looking great. I like the idea of getting a little table to put under your tent. Would make life super easy for you. your leaf damage definitely looks mechanical and not pest related.

if you’re looking to get a full spectrum light for a tent that small, youd really be well off with the mars hydro tsw600. It’s a small panel, but it’s perfect for flowering in a 2x2.

a word on the scrog net, don’t wait til your net is full to flip. Once you’ve got tops coming through 75% of the holes, change the light schedule. You need to leave yourself with 25% of your trellis space open for tucking during flower.

Oh and your goal of 10oz in that small of a tent... I’m sorry, but it’s just not possible. If you packed fresh colas in there like sardines you might get to 10oz. You have to remember that not only do the colas need space, they need some decent, unshaded, vegetation around them. You don’t have space for 10oz worth of leaf growth. I think a good goal for you would be to see if you can push past 4oz. My first really nice plant would have fit in your tent height wise, but she would’ve been too wide. She came in at 3.8oz.

I don’t mean to be the barer of bad news, just wanna keep your expectations within the realm of reality.

Welcome back, my good man.

Nah, it's big dreams but I'm happy with whatever I get out of this tent. As I said before, it's really quality over quantity in my mind. But I do want the most buds possible, too!

The big big yields I'll get when I set up my second location! It'll most likely be a soil grow as I won't be there every day and will rely on my sister who has never grown to feed

Might I suggest mixing up organic super soil, like coot mix, in that case. All she has to do is rehydrate to field capacity, no weighing, measuring, ph checking, run off, or anything else. Just keep the soil moist but not too wet through to harvest.

The super soil route is one that I'll eventually take in my personal garden, when the time is right. There is just something about the word "organic" that's so appealing. But I'm just going to teach her the feeding routine. She works for the NHS so I bloody hope she can measure liquids properly haha!
She's not too far away so I can pretty much get there anytime I'm needed

Also, good call on that mars hydro light. Looks great

Hey Burdok. I found my way here eventually lol.

I have my Tropicanna Banana in flower now as well. I think I'm on day 13. Yours is looking great and I'm happy to see you having fun with it.

I'm in from now on even thought the poofs are long gone.

Welcome, Prof

It's really great to have you here. I'm glad to see other people growing her. It'll be nice to see how everyone has gone about getting their buds.
How are you liking her? Did you find she smelled really early, as in before flower?

I'll need to pop in and eye out how yours is going, I've definitely fallen behind on my subscribed threads

I'm in coco like you but am bottom feeding instead of watering daily. I just fill the tray that the pots are sat in and let them soak it up at there own pace. It's not conventional but is working fine for me.

She did have a bit of a smell to her in veg. it was kinda like lemon nettles I guess. Should be nice and fruity when in flower.

I'm running her next to 3 other strains and she is the strongest plant. It is also on a slightly higher feed than the others as she is pale and begging for nitrogen. I noticed that yours had some broad leaves when it was small which mine didn't. I look forward to comparing them as they go.

Lol dont worry about falling behind on threads. I find myself playing catch up a lot

Very interesting that you bottom feed in coco. I've been very concerned about having to remove run off. However I'm growing in fabric pots. I'd be worried I'd end up with damaged roots flying all over the place

I actually bottom feed quite a few of my plants as well.... like my bonsai moms. I also give my flowering plants all day to drink up their runoff. They always do. Very very infrequently will I have to empty a drip tray at lights off.

Day 30 since sprout

Not much to update at the moment. Had some light green leaves so I upped the dose of megacrop again. She's now on 1.5ish per 1.5 litres and 0.75ml of calmag. We'll see how she likes it. The pH of the feed was 5.8.

I've tried to take a couple of pictures of the results of the micro-topping, also. I'm pleased with it.

The nodes have grown well and how I wanted them to and the lower growth has had a nice boost. I'm starting to see more tops

Having loads of fun with this. Even if I don't get a monster harvest, I know this girl won't let me down with quality jar goodies.

The main stem with the first topping looks like it's been lifting weights with Arnie

Apologise for the blurple. I'm afraid that it's going to have to probably go for the remainer of this grow, but thanks to a recommendation from @ChefDGreen I'm going to pull the trigger on a new Mars Hydro when some work is finished in my flat. Nice white light!

Thanks all guys.

As always thanks for popping in.

Hope you're all well and safe :ganjamon:

Maybe I've been too worried about it. To be honest, bottom feeding would be great. It would save me height space I desperately need

I’ve noticed the big plants in flower look much happier when you give them an extra couple liters to soak up. This matters less for you in coco, but in soil it’s a good practice to water 1/2 in slowly, then come back an hour later or so and water in the other 1/2

I have an idea that's somewhat like a swick but more bottom feeding. Fill the bottom of the tub with a little perlite and bottom feed through that. I would elevate the tub slightly and put a small drain on the bottom that I can open and close for occasional flushes of pH'd water.
My worry is salt build up and exposure of the roots to the light

Good morning, all!
Beautiful blue skies here and looking like it's going to be a hot one!

I tried the bottom feeding yesterday and she loved it. She took a lot more than I expected. I put about a litre in and within 2 minutes she had sucked it all up. So I topped her up again with about half a litre and it was gone this morning. She still has 2 hours until lights off.

How much should a 3 gallon (11.6) litre fabric pot be given with this method?

Cheers guys, will throw some photos up later today when lights are on
