Icetech's First Grow Durban Poison & Jack Herer In Soil, QB LED, 2019

Looking good I like this stage of a grow bend her everyday and see her blow up with growth. The jack looks cool

Well.. i'm not sure how much to bend that main stalk, i dent it 90 degrees and the next day the top of it had bent back up again... supposedly other nodes will turn into the main stalk?

And yeah. the Jack is really dark green and the leafs are just beautiful.. just need it to start moving upwards some :)

Just keep pushing them down and out might have to do it everyday till they accept it

You can bend them an 4 hours later they can already be turned back to you he light. They literally will grow like a weed.

Watching a vid from a older very experienced grower.. saying that too much light can atually stop them stretching, the jack herer is starting to worry me it's just getting more bushy but barely moving up. The Durban is growing like crazy.. wonder if i should move the herer out of the light a little.. it's only getting about 35k where it is already..

@Icetech I ran into your journal today. Just wanna say your plants are looking great for a first grow. I am going hydroponics instead and have ran into issues. Your progress so far is way better so keep it up! Also, sweet light set up!

Thanks! and yeah.. i will probably go coco for my next grow, i just went soil this time to keep it as simple as possible, learn how to keep the environment right before i try getting fancy :) Already itching to get a second tent though.. 2x4 isn't bad.. 4x4 would be nice also though.. or a second 2x4.. ah well :) good luck on the hydros!

Yeah I got a 4x4 tent and feel like it is big enough for my needs. Planning to keep my grow to 3-4 plants max. Right now I am down to two since I killed one and the others one never germinated.
I will thought about soil too but I wanted consistency and control of every variable but gotta say is not as easy as I thought.
You growing out of the D? Gotta love our state pass the bill!

Macomb, i grew up in the 8/van dyke area... And yeah something like that i figured simple is best for a first shot.. i sent you a PM btw.. and i like the 2x4 cause i can fit 2 plants side by side and not have to fight to get to rear plants, i would kind of like a 2x6 or 2x8 for that reason.. I would love a second tent, but don't want to buy more lights/fans/filter all that.. I love the QB light i have, i would like to try a perfectsunLED though..

That hit of nutes might have stunted them bad that's a bummer. Keep on trucking maybe they take off during flower go if luck

I think i have been over nuting.. next few waters will just be water. just annoyed.. i want to start a second tent as a backup now.. gonna run out of weed before i get near growing any :(

No need to pound plants with nutes they can grow just fine with a few organic supplements. Fyi plants don't get all of the chemicals out even after a good flush program. For me I don't want to smoke any chemicals so I use organic supplements and feed my soil not the plant its worth looking into

Day 33.. Yeah my shit is growing super slow :(

The Jack Herer bush... it's growing but seems to be insane...

And the Durban.. it's getting a ton of new growth daily.. looks small due to training..

Yeah.. i was over-watering also i think.. was watering every other day with nutes.. this time i waited til they wilted a little and just used clear water.

The soil you purchased will feed the plants easily for the first month. 2 weeks of being seedlings in solos. Then 4 weeks in whatever size pots you chose. Photosynthesis is what feeds a plant and makes it grow. Overwatering can slow down photosynthesis. You'd be surprised how much a plant enjoys a little starvation...hahaha! I water every 2 days in coco with organic dry amendments. You should be watering around 3 or 4 days apart. Only water the pot for the size of the plant. Let the plants body language tell you when to water. Cheers man. They will bounce back!!!

Yup. learning that :) I was watering every 2 days, the soil felt a tiny bit moist but still too much. I cut it back some. They have nice growth spurts and the broken main stem seems to be healing nicely.. no complaints :)

Cool, another Michigan grow! 8 mile and van dyke.....the green mile of med pot shops. No med card for me, so I can't go in, but there is a ton of them on that stretch. I went by House of Dank Friday, and I don't think there was a parking spot left.
What nutes are you feeding, and how much per gallon?

I grew up on prospect between memphis and sherwood at 8/VD.. and right now i'm only using FF's Big grow and Cal-mag per their feeding schedule...
