Doh, forgot to take pics (weed...) will tonight, it all seems happy now. Will keep the watering thing in mind next time:)

Took a pic last night.. the plants are doing well (the yellowing on the bottom leaves is from hitting them with nutes early, all new leaves have been great.. One thing i don't get is, these things seem to be growing more bushy than upwards.. If i have read right that just means plenty of light and not stretching to reach it? That Durban on the left is only about 4" tall but i swear i see 3 nodes already.. when i should i start LST? and when you LST you don't top?

P.S. the light messes up the camera on my phone, both plants are a nice happy green..

You are correct. Nice bushy plants and tight node spacing is indicitive of good lighting. You'll be thankful of that. Growing indoors in tents, we don't have unlimited headroom for mega tall plants. I top my plants around the 4th node and LST (bowl train) too. You don't have to top in order to do LST and vice versa.

Thanks, the light is 20" from them and i just wanted to make sure that tightness was correct:) very happy with buying this light so far. I still don't get the difference between LST and Bowl.. they seem exactly the same...

Bowl training is just a type of LST. With bowl training you pull the branches to the outside edge of your pot (or edge of the bowl so to speak) and tie them off. Spreading the plant open so light goes down the center of the plant easier. I just started it in mine if you hop over to my grow you may get the idea, although I don't have any close ups. A more traditional version of LST is to bend over the main stem. As long as you are manipulating stems/branches by tying them off to something, and not cutting or crushing the stems, it qualifies as LST.

Ahh.. k.. i thought LST was main stem also, and yeah i watch the perfectsun guys videos and was gonna do bowl.. just waiting for them to grow a bit more:) Will check out your grow.

The 'perfect sun guy" is LEDRF on this forum. He's an exceptional grower and has a number of excellent articles and videos.

Looking great

So.. this is Day21 from taproot. not so happy about growth so far. but at least they look healthish (the burn on the Durban's leaves is from me using nutes too early.. new growth looks happy.
P.S. i got a lumen meter.. it says 3200 at canopy.. not sure what's good or bad... read one site saying you want 50000 lumens.. All i know is the lights are fucking bright and i see blue spots for awhile after working in there..

What lights u have they may have been stunted from nute burn. Ill look for picks if i can find of my jack grow. I know I had a hard time keeping those small and bushy so u may have a stunted plant

Lumens or Lux? Most of the cheaper meters (like the one I have) are lux meters. I'll run mine at a height that produces about 50,000 lux during full bloom. More like 20-30k at the stage/height you're at now. I'm just entering bloom and am at 40k. Over here is an article I got from Royal Queen about using a lux meter. Article

Yeah, i realized that after i posted.. i believe the one i got can do lux or lumens, and there is no way it's 3k lumens.. will check when i get home thanks :)

They should still stretch up and grow nice just gonna take a few to get back to it. I'm kinda anti nutes I use fish shit during veg think it impossible to o.d your plants with it. I use a bit of cal- mag every other water. During bloom just hi brix and bone meal hi brix is molasses for the most part bone meal I topdress in before watering. Might not grow the biggest buds lol but always great and no chem. Just trying to throw ya some ideas I see a lot of over feeding on grow sites. Good soil good environment good light and just a touch of food and bam
