Heavenly Hybrid’s Hideout: Jump In Anytime

They all look good, HH despite the yellow tips on the one. I did a quick search and light stress and ph issues seem to be the most common issues. I have no idea if yours is either of these things but maybe it will give you a place to start?

Thanks HG! I don’t think it’s the ph, just because all of them are being watered with the same water. Maybe she’s more sensitive to light than the others? I’m watching her closely and so far I don’t see any more coming in on the new growth, so I’ll continue the look out.
What a lovely bunch of quads in there. :thumb:

LOL!
Thanks Shed. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Everyone looks so lovely Hh! You are doing a great job with your quadlines not that I’m surprised!

I’ve got no clue as to the yellowing upper growth, my initial thought was light intensity since everything thing else seems on point and like you said there should still be enough food in the soil. If I zoom in on the pic the leaf edges aren’t raised up which is the first sign of light stress so :hmmmm:

Hello my grow buddies, time for a mini update. I got Gelato into her new shoes, her final shoes. She is a fast grower and so far ahead of the others. She will be moving over to the flowering tent real soon. As soon as I clean it.

Here she is in her 1.5 gallon

Into the 3 gallon. It doesn’t look much bigger, does it? It’s more deep than bigger around, but whatevs.

I adjusted the ties out one more node for each arm.

She’s claiming a lot of tent space! Big gurl. I’ll let her grow upwards from here on.

A quick pic of the quad in action. These will all become little colas, along with the 4 main colas, aka - 4 towers.

And this is how she looked this morning. The 4 mains adjusted back towards the light after I moved the ties outward.

That’s the latest and greatest at the hideout. I’ll move Gelato out soon and the rest will have room to grow. I’d guess they will be uppotted in the next week or so. And then lil Cherry 18 will come along whenever she feels like it. She seems to be quite the leisurely grower.

Hope all is well with you, my lovelies. :ciao:

Crowded indeed Shed! And on that note, I have an update to share. :)

We’ll grow buds, I finally cleaned up after the house party in the 4x4. While I was cleaning, I thought of another reason to be happy for the switch to water only… the mess! Lol, I guess I’m a messy waterer, there was nute stains all over the tent floor! All cleaned now, but in the future when I spill, it’s just water! :thumb:

Back to business. Gelato is growing like crazy still, and as mentioned, it was getting crowded in the 2x4.

Gelato was throwing shade at her neighbors, so I had to separate them for a time out.

Here she is in her roomy live/work space.

All of the sudden, she looks so small! :D

And back to having some elbow room in the 2x4.

I forgot to check who’s who. I think Critical Mass is on the left and Blood Orange Sorbet is on the right. Cherry-18 and Candida in the center.

I downloaded the ppfd app that N420 and CC recommended a while back. I have no clue what I’m doing with that. Lol, good ol VG gave me some tips and I tried to get the new tent at the sameish measurement as the old. I’m just trying to minimize any stress from moving to a different light/environment. Which brings up my next decision to make..

In my la la la world, the plants can transition seamlessly to the bigger tent with no issues. I’ll be able to move them to flower in the big tent whenever they are the right size. Ahh, sounds nice. I’m afraid it won’t be so simple, but maybe I worry for nothing? We’ll see! But Gelato will be going to the 12/12 schedule very soon. Hopefully the other two will follow shortly, but that dang Cherry-18… she may end up vegging for another few weeks. Slow as molasses, that one.

That’s that for now at the hideout. I hope you’re all doing well and green gardens for everyone!

Everyone looks much happier with all that new leg arm room! Excellent clean-up in the party tent too...like it never happened. :thumb:
Haha, Mom and Dad will never know! —— wait a minute, that’s ME!!!

Looking great Hh! Like Shed said nice for them to have a bit more room to stretch their legs!

Glad to hear you downloaded the app!
Just for future reference

Recommend Ppfd

Seedlings 100-300 Ppfd
Early to mid Veg 300-500 Ppfd
Late Veg transition to flower 500- 700 Ppfd
Flower 700-1000 Ppfd.

Just keep your eye on the leaves particularly the leaves on near the top, if the leaf edges are pointing up or you see the start of Calcium deficiency it’s telling you the light is to intense.

Excellent info, thanks N! I set my phone on the floor of the 2x4 and then tried to match them up in the big tent. I’ll take any tips you’ve got on how to use it.

Then listen to your mind and let your body talk to the hand! :)
:laughtwo: I did it GDB! Unfortunately when I whipped my head side to side (as required when saying talk to the hand), I hurt my neck.

You're doing better than I am- my mind and body both say nooooo! :cheesygrinsmiley:
Haha, I’m on my way buddy! Starting to forget stuff, like why did I come to this room again? :hmmmm:And it’s not even because of weed now!

Things are looking great in both tents,HH-
Ms.Gelato is really getting with the program!

That won't last long....
Ha! Thanks Carcass, I’m pretty shocked at her growth rate, especially after I checked her genetics again. 2 things - (1) the name is Gelato OG (whoops!) I missed/forgot the OG part. (2) it’s indica leaning, but not at all growing like anything indica. I’m feeling a little paranoid it might be a hermie or something.

Garden is looking fantabulous HH!
You’ve got me super interested in that soil!

Thanks CC! I am totally happy with it so far. But the big question is - how well will it stand up through blooming? And, can it last through a long grow? I do have a recharge product that I can try to use if there’s trouble. I’m feeling hopeful, because it’s SO much easier.

Hello again bud buds, it’s been a while, so I needed to pop on again! I did a couple of little things to update too. Plants are getting bigger, and I’ve been looking around cause I might’ve dropped a bean here somewhere? :)

First up, two girls moved up to their 5 gal pots.

I adjusted some of the ties out, and she’ll grow upwards and onwards from here.

Critical mass

She’s got a much better pattern going on with her quad. Evenly spaced and more tops near the canopy level. She’s certainly keeping her title of favorite as we progress.

Cherry-18 is keeping her leisurely self going. Slow but steady and oh so much cabbage! I’ve been leaving fan leaves on, when I took off the growth tips, but I may need to take a few off this leafy, short girl. Tucking isn’t very effective on her.

And Candida at the bottom, just hangin out for now.

Last but not least is Gelato OG

All by her little lonesome, but not for long.

I plan to flip the 4x4 to 12/12, I need this girl to get started! She’s so far ahead of the others, size-wise. I plan to let the other two I just up-potted, have some time to grow new roots into the fresh dirt, then I’ll move them over too. When I transitioned Gelato over to the 4x4, there was zero issue, so I hope that will repeat with the others as they move in.

Oh, one last piece to mention - maybe some of you noticed the Easter egg posted above (Shed)?

That lil cup is holding an OG Kush seed, Dope seeds, a gift from the wonderful @Amy Gardner. I have been missing it so much, I wanted to get it started asap and keep a cutting going, similar to my Candida cycle. The gifts that just keep giving! I just hope I like this one as much as I liked the last. But first, she must pop! I soaked it for a day and a half and then into her solo. Hopefully some good news in the next few days.

That’s what’s going on over here. I hope everyone is doing well and getting some nice summer weather. We finished up our school year and I’ve been throughly enjoying the break already. Listening to all my summer jams plus some “School’s Out For Summer”. :peace:
