Hi all so I am browsing lights.. and I think I'm going to go with VIPARSPECTRA for the brand. The light I am currently looking at is the XS1500. Has any one tried they're products or this light specifically? It's one of the sponsors here so I figure why not try them.

P.S- price is of essence so $150 is about my range.

A lot of us are running the Viparspectra's. I have a P600 and P1000 running at the same time in a 2x4 tent. This is my first grow so can't verify results yet.

Mars, Viparspectra, Bestva, all good lights in your price range. Try and get one that will flower (and veg) a 2x4 area.

Mars Hydro has a fantastic line for what you are looking for, I am a Mars girl now that I am on board but I've heard and seen GREAT things from VIPARSPECTRA....

Buuuut....

My ParfactWorks HB 1500 is also a great 150W I have used for both veg and flower (only up to 3 plants in flower but I've had up to 6 under it with an additional smaller 97W beside it....a 129.00 light that fits perfectly in your budget

Alright I have nursed this baby back to health and it is starting to show semi normal leaf structure. I have also top it yesterday and there is already new growth from the chop point.... the northern lights is almost there, i spun the cup around and I can see her split and starting to sprout...so maybe a day or two before she says hi to tent world. And now for the annoying news, the first Acapulco gold seed has done nothing in a cup so I sterilized a metal pokie and a pair or tweezers to move the dirt and remove the seed. It is now back in paper towel with a second soaked Acapulco gold seed... They are guaranteed so I'm not mad just like I said above just annoyed as literally every seed I have germinated has popped even if it died later on. but I lowered my fan speeds in the tent and it has kept my humidity and temperature at a consistent, thankfully. But every thing is growing well and I'm just being patient. Thanks for stopping

P.s I sampled a radish...it's definitely a radish root

I thought I read somewhere you germinate your seeds by soaking for 8hrs?? Soaking needs to be at least 18-20hrs, then damp paper towel for 2-3 days cuz you like tap roots ¾"-1" in length. I soak in a epsom salt solution before I towel it up. I know this is exciting but this growing going learn you patience, grasshoppa :shaka:

agreed on length maybe a little less than an inch....with the 12-15 hour soak, I usually am good to go with 36-48 hours. I've never had to go 3 days...yet....

Seeds and I are friends....I've luckily never had issues in that process..try it, I think you'll like it n yea...check on that Purp! Mahalo

@Backyardigan trust me I am patient, maybe not fully but I am I always soak All seeds for 12-24 hours, the thing I didnt do was paper towel them...but I have had good results not doing it in paper towel...mistake on my end 1 said "ok" the other said "nope try again" . But I put them back in paper towel in a warm dark place...I will finish a puzzle while I wait "patiently" lol

@Krissi1982 I'm usually really good with all plant seeds and sprouting them.. It's the keeping them alive thing that's my issue me and cactus are not friends.

On another note that I think is not helping with the patience. I just got this tent and I've been watching the temps and humidity like it's my job because I'm nervous of a fire and what not...so I check ever couple hours and while I'm in there I look at everything. I'm prolly driving myself nuts lol

Actually is a smoke detector above the tent and I'll move fire extinguisher to area as well... Thank you..
