Hazmatz Cerberus Grow

Hi all, I'm back again and this time a little better set up than last. My last grow was all home made and tried to go as cheap as possible and quickly realized.....that's kinda hard to go cheap and maintain a good grow environment. Anyways I stressed the plant to the point of it going Hermie  so I had to scrap it....and sanitize my entire house and all equipment. But after the mistake I knew I needed better equipment and better/real genetics. So I took a little time researched and ordered some things I needed. And since I am currently working with 3 different strains Ive decided to name my grow Cerberus to reference the three heads of hades guard dog.:headbanger:

For my tent it is an Ohuhu® grow tent from Amazon.
Dimension- 24×48×60
Material- nylon with mylar interior lining.
Amenities- multiple vents for air intake/out take, Clear viewing window, and dual meshed side air vents.

For the lights I'm using two different ones which I purchased off of Amazon as well. One is being used to germinate a few different seeds( not all cannabis ;) ) and the bigger light is above my "tester" plant lol

For my main light I'm using a Giixer® 600w full spectrum LED, with built in cooling fans, and dual switch veg/bloom/both. For the second light it is a 150w LED panel suspended using high test Paracord ( will be getting small light chains to replace the Paracord this weekend)

Other equipment I have in the tent are Hygrometer/thermometer, cool air humidifier, and a 10 inch round fan.

Okay onto the genetics.

First, the plant that is currently growing is a random strain and it has some weird features but I never leave things alone lol so I'm seeing were I can take it. Love weird, odd, mutant plants :cheesygrinsmiley:.

So for the other two, they are both from the brand Sonoma® out of California. Both are femenized seeds 1 Northern Lights and 1 Acapulco Gold. I have a total of 6 but I have only planted 1 of each so that maybe I can start a perpetual grow....not sure yet...maybe take it slow-ish.

Ok, now the nutrients, soil, and extras. For the soil I am using Happy frog soil from Fox Farms. I add finely diced banana peels, crushed egg shell, a pinch of Epson salt, and a small amount of coffee grounds mixed into to the soil. Worked well with my last grow so I'm going to continue to use it. The nutrients I will be using are the Fox Farms Trio: Big Bloom, Grow big, and Tiger bloom. I will be using as suggested.

The other cups in the tent will be being moved to an indoor green house as I'm only using that side for germination currently (looking into a mylar divider) But if anyone is curious I am growing mini snap peas, jalapenos, Italian flat leaf, and white marvel radishes ( those are the babies in the middle). For the two front cups on the left those are the two seeds from Sonoma mentioned before. They were both soaked and around 8 hours and me going over to them every 45-60 minutes and pushing it down they both sank. I removed them from the water and popped them in the soil after a 24 bath (same as I have done for everything I plant). They are roughly half deep in the soil and have been in for about a day. So hopefully soon here we'll see signs of life.....but if not all the seeds are guaranteed :woohoo:.

But thats all for now, thanks for stopping by and checking it out. Hope I was informative enough, if I missed anything please feel free to mention it ....but be nice I'm still learning :) . But now the fun part... the photo dump. So I'll do some here and the rest on the following post as there is a limit.

@Krissi1982 @Backyardigan @Bill284...sorry for the ones I missed I was having trouble finding the right accounts to tag and most definitely forgetting a few to start.

Setup looks cherreh :shaka: my braddah! You get intake/exhaust fans, get some beneficial fungi into your final pots, and a co2 bag... than you'll be having serious kine fun haha. Be proud for not throwing in the towel!
Thanks idk about the c02 bag...maybe a little to much for my semi simple go lol but yes I'm looking into intake/exhaust fans and possibly a charcoal filter. Thanks for the suggestions and the awesome reply bro and I never quit the first time...usually takes about 10 times and a few lessons learned before I quit

I'm here buddy!!! Excited for ya this round!
Thank you I'm excited as well. Glad to have your eyes here to help me not screw up lol but I tried to tag old g but it wouldn't show me his profile..... apparently there's a ton of old g's here

Looks good, a couple comments. The plant has very dark leaves, might want to lighten up on the N a little before the leaves start to “claw”. Also, although your main light is advertised as 600 watts, it only draws 70 watts.
Yes after the holidays I was possibly considering a marshydro...not sure yet. I know this light is not what it says it is but it's an upgrade from my starter lol. I was wondering about the dark leaves, this plant has had problems from the start nute burn from reused soil...random genetics..the works. I like the challenge and I'm not giving it any nutes or anything kinda just letting rock out until the two are ready to up pot.

So the plant is literally just getting anything it's getting from remnant feed. It basically emerged from the soil nute burned and has just been doing its thing for 20 days

That's not a simple setup, many seasoned growers have grown in less. Also what's your tent temps and RH like?
Hygrometer shows 44 but is rising. And the temperature is 75.2f.

Almost cherreh :shaka: your used soil needs proper amending cuz it's likely to stress your seedlings and possibly into a hermie state. Have you tested your run off?
No I'm using the soil right out of the bag Happy frog from fox farms for the seedlings.... absolutely nothing used for them. How do I test the run off? I never thought to do a test....hmmm thank you for that

Lol excuse me what is "cherreh shaka" I'm over here trying to sound it out while my kid stares at me.

Good plan!

Sorry, your "test" plant with the issues. You said it was reused soil? If you have pH and EC pens you can test run off.
Yes reused soil from a plant my chick was playing with that died after she tried to save it with a nute boost...she figured like an adrenaline shot  but nope thing died over night . I'll grab some this weekend and get back with the number.

Good morning @HappyHazmat88 hope your good today.
As mentioned your light needs a proper upgrade.
That one will be fine for seedlings and little ladies, but not much else.
If your putting in raw amendments to the soil you should mix in some Bokashi.
Makes the nutrients available to the roots.
Add some frass aswell for more microbes to feed her.
It's in my Gorilla Glue clone thread, I explain it there.
Next time get some cherp nuteless soil to pop seeds in ( dollar store).
Just a little in the center of the cup around the seed so they don't cook in the nutrients.
Everything else looks great.
Should be fun.
Keep up the good work.

Stay safe
Bill

Hi all so I am browsing lights.. and I think I'm going to go with VIPARSPECTRA for the brand. The light I am currently looking at is the XS1500. Has any one tried they're products or this light specifically? It's one of the sponsors here so I figure why not try them.

P.S- price is of essence so $150 is about my range.
