Guyz vs Galz Grow Off

Mine will be on time. I think....I hope.....ya just never freaking know around here. LOL We did say on or "about" June 1st.

While I have a minute, any of you guys' or gals ever used BushDoctor Flowers Kiss foliar plant food for seedlings? It is mixed with water and used as a foliar spray.
I had to find my Captain Jack's dead bug, and ran into this BushDoctor stuff.

Yes, I have used flower kiss. It’s part of the dirty dozen nute regiment I’ve been using.
I stopped using it. lol
I burned leaves with it twice and just stopped. If you use it, I suggest diluting it a bit more.
I sprayed at lights out and still had leaves burn just a little. Never real bad but nonetheless.
It doesn’t store well once mixed, and you use so little of it that it’s a bit of a nuisance.
I like the idea of it and if you have better luck maybe I’ll try it again but, for now, that’s a no for me dog…

That's all I needed to read. This has been around here a few years, so I'm not going to take a chance with it on any important plants. It's probably just going to get tossed, I was nervous about it and it would have given me anxiety. LOL

However - this is just my experience, but I’ve had excellent results using two of the Bushmaster products from Fox Farms as staples in my organics. The Kelp Me Kelp You and the Wholly Mackerel. Both are fully OMRI rated. The kelp product is practically neutral, with less than 1 each in NPK. The Wholly Mackerel adds a little N. I use the Kelp as my basic kelp additive like every third watering. The Wholly Mackerel is my basic fish ferts. Maybe every fourth watering. I used to use the entire FF nute set and at this point I use only these two and occasionally the Bembe, a sugar additive that’s also good but not OMRI rated.

Thank you Jon! The Wholly Mackerel was the next question. I remember using that, and still have a partial container of it here. I'm going to pick one of the outdoor potted kids and give it a go, see what happens. They are clones.

The mackerel and kelp were not in the dirty dozen kit but, it is on the feed schedule, and I have been using both, and am happy with them.
I also use the bembe, beastie blooms, cha ching, and open sesame. I do swap out the cha Ching for beasty blooms in the final weeks as it seemed the nitrogen was fueling growth while I was wanting them to finish up, causing foxtails (coulda been the light).
I also cut the microbe brew to once a week and replaced the other application of it with fish shit. One to add microbes and the other to feed them.
I’m also not doing the sledgehammer flushes according to schedule. The fish shit is supposed to act to break down salt buildup so I’m hoping I can get away without it. I’ll probably still flush with sledgehammer sometime before harvest.

Now that I’m doing the sip thing, I’m back to liking the fox farms regimen. I have some slight tip burn, and a little leaf edge burn but, it’s not bad and hasn’t gotten worse, and isn’t widespread. Only on one plant so, I’m going to stick with it until I have a reason not to.
Just picked up a couple big bottles of the main 3part.
The only other thing I’ve had to use is their cal mag… I still can’t figure out why these plants crave calcium so bad and so early. My purple panty droppers did the same deficiency thing as my bananas. So, from now on, they will get cal mag from the start.

Talk about jinxing myself. Luck ran out and we got hit pretty good with hail this weekend. Gonna have claims on both cars but luckily no broken glass and the trees are still standing *knock on wood*

I think it'll definitely be close to two autos done for one photo.

And I'm intending on starting the second one a week or so before the first finishes to make sure there is a plant above ground for the duration of the grow.

I haven't planned a second grow. I have family commitments and will not be in a position to continue after this harvest. I will be travelling until mid September. I hope that doesn't put a spanner in the works

Nope, I think we already agreed this is not a problem. A grow is a grow, when it's done...it's done. LOL

Okay Everyone, I have the draft of the introduction post written up. I think I only need @Olddog Newtrick 's second seed and seedbank choice, if I remember right. Read it over and let me know if there is anything to add, or whatever. We don't want it complicated, so we agreed to keep it not too lengthy. Grammar and spellcheck pulleeeze, cuz my brain has been in other places the last few days. I will add the tags and links for the sponsors and such just before it's posted.

Welcome To Our Multi-Member Grow Show!​

This is a friendly grow competition between two teams of three growers. We call it Guyz Vs. Galz because there is a team of three guys and a team of three girls. This is not a gender division, it's just two teams that wanted to have some competitive fun.

We will be growing different Seedbank strains using only 420 Magazine Sponsors' seeds. We have a combination of Photo Period and Autos, Indoor and Outdoor on both teams. There will be different methods and grow mediums so people can see many different styles and types of growing.

This grow is for pure fun. At the end there will be polls for members of the audience to vote on the best team grow as a whole and a few other things, like best bud, best plant, etc. These will be decided, and links to the polls posted at the finish of the grow. Team members will not be allowed to vote in the polls. This is an audience only voting.

There are no prizes awarded. This will be strictly for bragging rights.

Each Team member will be posting more detailed specifics on the the strains, seedbanks, and their other growing information after this initial introductory post.

Sorry I've been busy. I rescued a little brown bat brought her in the house while it was storming and hailing outside. Smoked too much an fell asleep, checked on her the next morning at lights on just to find her gone and two tiny newborn bats lay there. WTF. I ain't ever seen a bat in person before and here's two naked babies smaller than my thumb. My husband shamed me for even saving a bat in the 1st place and told me to let them die. Halfway through the day he asked what's wrong and I commented about how wrong it is to just be letting innocent babies die. An he finally gave me the $ to get formula. I successfully fed them some Similac (puppy replacement milk and Similac baby formula have the same ingredients just FYI) and kept them warm. They were snuggled to my fingers and as they slept I could feel there little slumbering body twitches..so adorable.
Last night the mother bat came outta hiding, and I was able to safely contain her. And reunited her with her babies. It was such a beautiful and emotional moment!! At first I thought she wasn't going to take them back, then after some screeching an chittering she gathered them up and tucked them each in an armpit. I left them a few minutes to collect themselves and get settled.
Bats don't really have hands or actual feet, they're built upside down, definitely built different. So they can become grounded if they don't have enough space to launch from. Make sense? Like a living hang glide.
Watching her gracefully fly away with both her babies was the best feeling ever.
Best memorial day ever.

It's going to be a whole new thread, the actual grow show thread. This thread is just our discussion for getting it going.
