Beauty vs. Brawn - A Multi Strain Multi Sponsor Grow Off For Bragging Rights

Sorry folks but, life’s been running me over again… I’m still here and finally got to chop!
So here’s what I have to share for the moment.
These plants came out beautiful. Plenty of purples and lavender and I couldn’t be happier.
Dense thick buds and frosty as one could ever hope for.
the monster cropped clones are in their sips and starting to get some real leaves.
Update on them later but, for now, pics of the main event.
I hope it does the guys team a little justice!

Yowzah Olddog, a frosty specimen she is!

Woof! :Rasta:

@Olddog Newtrick , that is some frosty stuff there! You must be biting nails waiting to get a hit on that. Beautiful! You are doing the Guyz justice for sure.
I sure hope you can slow down on work life soon. 💕

On other notes, I have the last of my Grow Show girls hanging to dry. Doing good with about 52% humidity and a small fan for airflow. I need to order some more of our sponsors' Grove bags, I am completely out. I guess that's a good thing. LOL

I have a winter grow journal started with the Autos, so if anyone cares to stop by, you are very welcomed.

@JiggiLotus WOWSA! Gorgeous and delicious! Beautiful finish!

Gotta say, your show grows are ALL winners!

Sadly, my work season is obviously back on, and I won’t get to taste it until May:rolleyes:
But, this schedule is what affords me the summers off so, it’s a trade off.
Just a few more weeks and my winter growing season kicks off and I’ll fill all the tents back up for some spring harvesting.
Right now the only things I have growing are these crazy clones. I think I see why it’s called monster cropping. They are some seriously mutant looking plants.
I’ve left them alone for a week and all of a sudden have some nice big fan leaves growing!.
If anyone has any tips or advice on this, please chime in because, I am definitely in uncharted territory here….👻👽👾💀
I’m kinda adding these in here on this thread since it’s kinda related and my teammates had real issues.
I don’t expect everyone to follow along or even wait till they finish but, y’all are welcome to come along for the slow ride.
Next weekend I will do a final trim, weigh, and closing post on the Dirty birds officially.
Love to you all, and thanks for being here!
And now for the spooky photos!

Looking great OldDog! :high-five: Revegging flowering girls does look like mutant plants for quite some time, but when they come out of it and start throwing normal looking leaves like yours are, they are now on their way! Looking great!

:hug::love::hug:

Looks like the clones have arrived OldDog. Now would be a good time to remove the single-leafed fans.

Thanks man, I’ll start taking off the round leaves and any of the weird little leaves and see what’s left to work with, lol.

Hey GDB that's interesting, why do you do that? I'm not sure I would.

I believe they're of no use once the plant has revegged and mostly pull energy from the "healthy" revegged parts of the plant.

Why is it that you're not "sure" you would?

I think that they could be needed for photosynthesizing and that the more leaves in this phase the better, to power the transition. I have no scientific evidence either way, I was just curious cuz it's an opposite thought to mine 🙏

I have no scientific basis either Carmen.

All I know about science is that it disproves the rule of "i" before "e" except after "c." Such a deceit! :)

But I think a good amount of normal looking leaves (like OldDog has on his girls) indicates that the transition is likely complete. I had a good amount of normal growth on mine when I removed the singles. But I kept a few of them and they eventually fell off by themselves. However even while they were present, from the looks of them they weren't doing a lot of photosynthesizing and I don't recall anything "normal" growing from those little branches. :Rasta:

I thought I read somewhere that you could FIM the bud sites on a reveg and it would encourage fresh growths to start. But only God knows where I read that and I have NO proof that it works.

No matter what, you’ve got great new growth on those clones OldDog! :high-five:

I have some final weight numbers but, not in front of me. They came in a little under where I like to see them but, the quality can’t be denied.

The clones have picked up the pace and after last weekends training I think they may be ready for flower this weekend.
Seems like my last couple of grows barely see two weeks of veg.

Beautiful bowl of buds Old doggy!
Those clones really took off. Nice job on those. They look like they're yelling "Hi Daddy!"

Will your work schedule slow down at all during the holidays? We miss ya....
