Grand Daddy Black Grows A Stack

Win big baby!
I tried it on the Purple Ghost Candy plant. It was a very positive thing! Cutting, stripping, and hanging without wet trimming felt like a day off! Then after a week or so hanging in 60 to 65% rh I settled in to see what this was all about. Well I can't hate on any part of it really. A touch with the brush drops most of their clawed sugar leaves. Some of mine needed a pinch with my fingers to remove. I may have been a tad anal since it was my first time and I wanted to see what it could do.
Hand picking as much as possible, drying a while and relaxing ala Bob Ross as perfect buds appear is a good thing! My nug for this month's of the month will be one.
I didn't touch trichomes much or at all on most so they're all there. Pretty cool! I plan to try the next run the same.

It worked perfect on buds with almost no sugar leaves. You know, all bud bud. I need to try it on other types.

Both of my outdoor ladies are doing that now. Every year all the main stalk leaves go yellow and all the rest stay green.

Stella's looking super!
Thanks for the review Stone. I haven't bought a weed gadget in a while. I'm itching to do so and now I think I'll scratch! :Rasta:

The CL#1 is starting to look almost normal and the CL#2 is trying to. The CL#3 is being stubborn and has barely changed a bit.
I'm glad to see you finally changing the way you see the Cosmic Lights! It's like this month's wins have given you a brighter perspective. :)
I finally gave Stella a drink yesterday
I'm not seeing any damaged top leaves but getting some nutes in there will be a good thing. Seeing any signs of flower yet?

Interesting, and thanks! Will you use it on the outside plants? I'd want to check them over before leaving them to hang, maybe just inspecting and pulling the larger leaves from the buds... :hmmmm:

Good day all and Happy Sunday!

Just a quick update on Stella on her day 85 along with some thoughts on growing outdoors in my backyard.

Stella got absolutely pummelled by rain yesterday. I went to my family reunion picnic, which was held in a park about 30 miles from my home. Strong thunderstorms were predicted to move in around 7pm. Thinking I'd be back home long before then, I didn't shelter Stella.

Well, the thunderstorm arrived and unfortunately was unaware that she was early. I had to drive home in a heavy downpour, while thinking about Stella getting creamed! By the time I got home she looked defeated, like some tomato can boxer who had just sparred with Mike Tyson.

But by this morning she looked like, "Whew. I needed a shower!"

But about this growing in my backyard. I'm not up on the sciencey stuff relating to the sun's distance from the earth and how the earth tilts as it rotates, etc. But I know through observation that my good sunlight spots in the backyard are moving around and getting shorter in duration. I'm having to move Stella at least 3 times a day trying to keep her in adequate sunlight. Factor in the big tree in my next door neighbors backyard that also blocks sunlight and Stella is just not getting a helluva lot of "good" sun.

Still, I am committed to seeing her through to the end. However, I suspect that end will not include many fat healthy buds. In fact if she produces any buds at all I'll consider it a small victory!

What my world needs is a waterproof outdoor grow light! :Rasta:

To me the plant looks thirsty and the soil looks dry, but I'll assume you soaked it just after the pic was taken! They need water on a very regular basis in that kind of heat, which is how @Agemon got his huge plant to live outside in Palm Springs summer.

And I'd say it's still going through reveg since the leaves haven't gotten back to three blades yet.
Yes Sir, and my landscaper just quit so I may be doing some flowering into late 2024. I've got some Jack Herer going, just lollipoped the 3 of them. Got one that looks about 5050 genetically, one thats leaning toward indica, and another that is clearly leaning sativa and looking stellar compared to the other two.

And YES lotsa water. Mine was on the North facing side of a wall and got watered by my backyard bubblers. I also gave it all the overflow from the indoor grow. I've never seen ficus trees grow so fast.... The Northern Lights did pretty good too...

this morning she looked like, "Whew. I needed a shower!"
If she had a face, she'd be smiling..💚
Now she's ready to turn over a new leaf and get on with the flowering!

I'd like to try so yes I'm almost sure.
I think getting most leaves off with fingers is important before they hang. A good pick so only the smallest ones are left to dry and plink off with the brush.

No shed? I think she'll flower out fine right there with your help finding the Goldylocks spot now and then.

The rain didn't even Phase her, she'll surprise you in the end

Hello all.

Before I get to a quick update let me respond to some comments.

It's almost like it was designed to deal with the rain!
Yes, I believe they are. This is not the first downpour that Stella has survived. But our storms typically come with strong winds and that was mostly my concern. Stella is such a skinny thing! :Rasta:

If she had a face, she'd be smiling..💚

She does look happy, Carcass. I hope she's happy enough to flower! :)

If all I need to do is find the sweet spot "now and then" then I'm good. I didn't know that would be enough. I'm learning this outdoor thing and all the outdoor grow pics I see on 420 are usually sunny and bright! :)

I love surprises con (except when I don't). :)

Now on to the Phase II clones on their Flip 26.

Not much has changed and I dare say, not much will, IMO. They're all drinking from their swick bases without issue. There's been more no gripping roots since I changed the set-up of the wick lines. All still get a top feed of a liter at least once a week in order to moisten the upper soil layer. The 3 Cosmic Lights are on Strive nutrients and the Fat Kid's Cake (tan pot) is getting Roots Organics dry organic nutrients.

I'm going to elevate the 3 CLs this evening, as they have not kept pace with the FKC, height-wise. There's about a 6 point difference between the FKC's DLI (38) and the CL's (31-32). At this point in the grow I want them all around 38.

That's today's news on this bunch.

Thanks for your visit!

Hi again.

CLs have been raised. Still not ideal but better than it was. :Rasta:

I don't know about others but I kind of wait for a sunny day to take pics so there's that. One on mine is in the shade until 10:30. The sweet spot is still important. It's getting you off your butt a couple times a day. That's a good thing! Micro shlepping!

Yeah, that makes sense that all would want to show their plants under their best light. DOH! :)

Beautiful plants GDB , looking sweet !
Nice fat colas

I move the plants in the evening to their morning spots and when I get home from work its time to move them to their evening spot. Always schlepping to chase the light lol

Close enough!
Or, you could lower the light a few inches on the left side- the plants aren't going to get a whole lot taller, so you could probably just leave it that way for the rest of the grow...

Thanks Sniper!

I'm not sure about the "fat cola" description but I'll go with it. Hell, you might be wearing trifocals for all I know. 😁

Much flatter across the top, but a few Gideons from your local motel should make it perfecto!
I've got plenty of books of varying sizes but I don't think it's worth the effort and neither does "you-know-who." :)
