Hello again, everyone!

It's Flip 10 for the Phase II Clones. I filled the swick bases with about .5 gallons on water this past Friday and most of it remains in the bases today. All of the plants pots are light but to look at them, they seem to be drinking. There's been little improvement in the posture of the Cosmic Lights clones. They still look weird to me!

All of the girls are starting making some pom poms.

Three feet sounds ideal, Carcass!

But, she's very vulnerable to getting blown over in that pot because it has such a small footprint. Thanks for turning up my dimmer switch on that! So I think I'll put her in a pot that's a tad larger. Even then, I don't think I'll be in danger of reaching the heights you're looking at!

Me too- not real weird, but just weird enough to look not quite normal..

Even then, I don't think I'll be in danger of reaching the heights you're looking at!

She's still got some serious growing/flowering to do, so we'll see...
It's a little odd that she's not farther into flowering by now..but she'll get there...

Good morning all.

It's Day 72 in soil for Stella and she's grown to 22 inches tall. If the weather folks are correct, she'll spend most of today in the rain. It was raining this morning but has stopped right now. But it's supposed to pick up again and continue into most of the evening.

I've started prepping some used FF soil for her transplant.

She's going into this pot, which will provide her with a tad more stability:

And new supplies are in. I'm locked and loaded!

I'm trying to make sure my first backyard grow turns out at least moderately successfully, since it may well be my last!

Yeah, that pot she's in is tapered and has a very small footprint. It's almost like she's wearing high-heels. I'm in the process of fixing that and, yes, she'll be getting a little more soil!

Nice transplant from high heels to a practical chunky wedge, and as long as the flowers are good I figure the CLs can look weird all they want! (I'm with Carcass btw, not real weird.)

Given how late it started there's still the time lag to sexual maturity.

Hello all.

It's Stella's Day 73 in soil and today she got some new soil to grow into!

I didn't try to do any real measuring. However, I know that in the base of her new pot I put in more soil than her current pot contained. So she now has at least 8 inches of new soil to grow into. I was concerned about how wet Stella's soil was. I don't know if it's due to me overwatering her or due to the fair amount of rain we got here yesterday. Anyway, I didn't water her after the transplant. The used soil I prepped for the her new pot was already moist and she should do fine just being plopped down in there. (Fingers crossed.)

I think the rain washed away my cayenne pepper moat!

Oh it's a clone? I forgot that too, because if it's a clone then it could have already been mature depending on how early it was cut. A clone is as mature as the mother would be at the same age. Might just be a literal late bloomer!

Hello again gang!

I got down in The Pit to check out the Phase II clones. I'm happy to report that they're all wicking now! Two of the bases were bone dry, one was nearly bone dry and one retained about an 8th inch of water. I filled all of their bases to 1/2 full with plain water.

Still no change in the posture of the Cosmic Lights clones. They remain a hot mess!

I started cleaning up the Fat Kid's Cake clone, leaving plenty of "shag" leaves down below. I had hoped to clean them all a bit, but when I dared to think about working on the CLs my LazyMeter went past chirping and immediately into squawking (loudly). It won, and I'll be leaving those for another day!

Well other than the curled leaves, which I detest, their side branches don't grow out they grow more up. The kinda' hug the branch they came out of. It makes the plants too compacted.
