GDB: Old Dog -- New Tricks

I'll try to say this tactfully.

One 420 member, a highly decorated and highly respected member I might add, is absent from this discussion.
Oh stop…

You’re embarrassing me!

And I’m right here.

I’m just like you guys. Sure I burp glitter and fart rainbows, but I sit down to do poo just like you guys do.

What's the solution? If you know you eventually want to put a plant outside do you run it under, say, 13/11 from its birth and then only put it outdoors when there's at least 13 hours of sun?
I looked, well InTheShed looked up my light hours for my area and that was 15. That is my on time for my outdoor grows as they get ready.

One 420 member, a highly decorated and highly respected member I might add, is absent from this discussion. I won't name names, but he abetted in this process. He grows outdoors (an in), using LOS and his last name almost rhymes with "farter."

I just want him, and really everyone on 420 to know that I've added a new quote to my signature should such a situation arise again.
I didn't think! I also covered it in my journal a few weeks ago. Last year and the year before. The year before that I got caught the same way! Pretty sure they just revegged and flowered mid August, my normal time for here.

GDB, in my cumulative early grows I revegged several plants, one by accident, all outdoors. It's a wonderful and awkward phase of transition and the plant turns into a monster in the process, demanding pruning. Good luck with it, I hope that the reveg is swift and the plant can get on with packing on some bud. Holding thumbs! I have faith in the plant and confidence in you guys. You got this.

Hello grow pros!

It's Flip 66 for the New Trick girls and I made a boo-boo last night.

I typically leave the tent partially open during lights on (1pm to 1am) because it assists in maintaining lower temps in the tent. That big Phlizon FD8000 kicks out some heat!

But last night, no only did I leave the basement light on but I also forgot to close the tent before going to bed. So the plants spent their lights out period last night with the light from the basement ceiling shining into the tent.

Fortunately it's late in the game. Hopefully this boo-boo (actually more of a major blunder) will not bite me too hard. I'll find out soon enough.

Remember a short while ago when I had the brilliant idea of giving all the plants a full dose of KoolBloom bud booster? Then the next day I thought it had been a terrible idea and went to dump whatever was left in the swick bases?

The Blue Cindy was the only plant that consumed the full baseful of the booster, while the Lemon Bubble & Hash Lover only got to drink about 1/2 of what had been in their bases.

The Blue Cindy didn't take it too well.

The other two plants were not nearly as affected.

I think all three probably would have been okay with getting half the recommended dosage.

Live and learn.

Thank you Ms. Carmen! Love your optimism! :Rasta:

It's all on me Stone. I've been reading about this outdoor transition thing for a while now. It must have been going in one eye and coming out the other! :)

Thanks for taking a look.

Oof on the KoolBloom burn but I don't think a night of extra light will make any difference to them. Looks like the end is nigh, or 2-10 days away depending on time zones.

Also, any chance LB can rig up some light deprivation on the CL? Throw a camping tent or rig a black plastic cover over it at 6pm every night?
I hope that mistake doesn't hurt much. I don't think it should, either.

Regarding LB rigging up something and putting it over the plant daily: Not. A. Chance. :laughtwo:

No worries, GDB- it takes a couple days for the plants react to a lighting change, and that was just one night. I doubt they even "saw" that basement light..

So did I, but it was with GLN's Sweet Candy and Bud Explosion (yeah, I used both..)

Nope, me neither...I'll just watch 'em reveg...they're still pumping out the pistils today, so I really don't know what's going to happen...

But did you see the buds on her??? :circle-of-love:

I'll try to be there more as well. I didn't think of it.

I left my back flap open one period this grow too! The summer group was lit at the time right there 2 feet away! So far I haven't seen any issue. That was 3 weeks ago.

Ha! You wanted your buds to get sweeter and then explode, huh? :)

Hello growers.

It's Flip 14 for the Phase II girls and today I took them out and cleaned them up a tad. I removed most, but not all, of the inward growing large fan leaves, and most of the buds sites that are too low amount to much. I left most of the large fans on the perimeter. Even with no flowers to feed, I believe they power the plant. As usual, I probably left a few lower flowering sites that I'll later wish I had removed, but it's a work in progress.

When I took this eye-level pic I did a double take. Could it be....

Holy Father, the Godberry has grown 2 inches! She's up to 10 inches above the soil. I blinked and missed it! :laughtwo:

That's the goings ons for today!

She's definitely awake now, she's going to be fun to watch....will she catch up to the other 2?🤔

I blew them up alright..just not in a good way... 😬
Finally awake, Carcass. Damn plant almost out-slept @MrSauga!

I'd be astounded if she caught up with the other two, not that I'd mind being astounded. :)

I'm on a mission to figure out the proper way to use these damn boosters, even EasyWeed! :Rasta:

Highya GDB,

Congrats on the 2 in! By the looks of her, putting out pistils, she could be nearly finished with her "stretch". She's been in flowering light with the other two for the same time. But, it's good that she's gained some height, and good to see little white pistils here and there! Happy Smokin'
