Ganesha's Tent

Trying to get some exposure
They look a bit juiced though.. no natty
I'm thinking one more week of growing out and then flip? Well I'll see where they at in a week..

I'm also trying to quit the tobacco.. I just can't anymore.. and well it's not even the tobacco just the combustion.. as putting pure weed in the bong and lighting it is a gross affair as well.
Only dry herb vaporizer to get high, and I got a vape pen with cbd liquids to still puff some clouds for the habit and that really helps not blazing up another joint or cig.

Hope it goes well with the quitting.
It's tough, I quit smoking cigars a few times I know.
Girls look good, hope you are well my friend.
Take care. :ciao:

Well so far so good, I've been off nicotine for two weeks now, and also off caffeine, as well those two are pretty intertwined... and caffeine is a hoax, way more energy without it.. I've substituted the coffee with mixed up carrots, ginger, turmeric, lemon & honey and well that's a zinger that wakes you up just as much.

Also no THC at the moment only the CBD vape, although I did have a few drags at the concerts this weeks but I didn't run to the store the next day to roll me a dutchie.

Wow.. that's a noticeable difference.
Looking good fender.
Yep pretty hopeful but don't wanna jinx it :D

also at the moment don't know what I'm going to do with it.. I'm quite enjoying the sober... I kinda feel like the Alan Watts "if you get the message, hang up the phone kinda thing"
although can't wait to see some sparkling buds.

nonono fricking nooo! same thing is happening again as previous time, leaves are yellowing again..
with the shiny thing I'm thinking some critter but I did notice early onset of yellowing yesterday and rubbed those leaves with neem oil, so I'm not sure if it's residue from that..

Or again N toxicity I've been feeding according to the schedule which is pretty hefty I find, and the plants are very very green under real light.. now they have been on 12/12 for a week and problems start to show.

Hiya fender.
The green colour looks ok to me, maybe on the dark side of ok but, ok none the less. If you have N toxicity then the leaves would curl downwards. The new growth can look lighter green which makes the older leaves look darker.
Have you seen any critters this time around?

I'm looking but nothing I can really see, haven't seen anything crawling, the leaves just tend to go sour.. on my yellow cards there's maybe 3 bugs sticking from the whole time they've been in there, so nothing proliferated.

First evening I noticed hmm something is going on because vains were being pulled empty and going light I rubbed neem oil on the affected leaves, and dusted the topsoil with diatomspowder, and then yesterday well yeah it goes fast as the yellowing just spreads.. so I've flushed them now this morning with ph'd water.. and now they are in the dark period, so I'll know more tonight.

And the colour well the led lighting can't be trusted, If I'd put them out in the Sunlight you'd be like woah that's dark..
And it's kinda the same time like last time when things are put into flower.. the veg period was totally fine.
Totally different nutrients & soil this time around though.. so I have no idea why it's going on again.
I'll try to turn over all leaves and look for more critter signs..

Yep, I can have similar issues, no problems in veg then goes crazy at the drop of a hat in flower.
I know my issue is balancing the calcium carbonates and alkalinity of my hard water.
These are the little subtle things we need to dial in for our personal grow environmentals.

This is exactly what I've been experimenting with over my past 2 grows.
I've got high calcium and low magnesium in my water. So I've been adding a small magnesium supplement to balance the cal/mag ratio which should be around 3:1.

I found this run that worked until stretch had finished, then I still got a slight calcium deficiency.
So it looks like when flowering starts I still need to add some calcium but not alot..so in future I'll start with the magnesium suppliment until flowering starts then use calmag carefully through flower.

Do you know the calcium/ magnesium content of your water?
There's a company in England called 'growers ark', you can send them a water sample and they'll analyse it amd give advise on the nutrient front, they'll even make personalised nutrients.

Just to add, I wouldn't use their personalised nutrient line myself, that sounds expensive. Lol. But I'm going to get my water analysed by them just so I know what's really going on.

hmm I think I can check with the water group..
aha!

Yep. There it is, loads of calcium and little magnesium. This is why I turned to nutrients designed for hard water.

If you consider that people using RO or soft water start with literally zero calcium in their water...it's definitely something for you to think about.
Do you know the alkalinity of your water? As in some cases that can be a big problem for the ph.

hmm dunno but it takes a lot of ph- to get something down like 5-6 ml versus just a few drops on the same amount of distilled water.

So add some epsom salt? or use other water
Still what is happening? deficiency in magnesium because there's not enough to take up? or lockout caused by spikes in something else?

This is what I've been trying to work out myself..

So add some epsom salt?
That's pretty much what I've been doing this grow but I still got a calcium deficiency in flower?
I believe the calcium/magnesium ratio should be 3:1, so involves doing maths to get it right.
or use other water
would simplify things but buying good water in England can be expensive..
Something to consider if its cheap where you are.
deficiency in magnesium because there's not enough to take up? or lockout caused by spikes in something else?
Yep..pretty much all the above can happen.

Calcium:
To much calcium can lockout potassium and cause deficiency (yellowing).

Magnesium:
Helps uptake nitrogen which helps the relationship with the green colour for photosynthesis.
Too little and the plant will struggle to absorb N.
Too much will lock out N and cause yellowing.

Our calcium is high already so it produces the conundrum of...not overdosing calcium while keeping the mag in check.??? Its dificult. what works for me might be different amounts for you.
If I could buy cheap water or install a RO system in my house(big investment ) ,I'd go that route.
