Ganesha's Tent

It's a banana sir.

Yeah, if we can see the process of the leaf as it deteriorates it may be easier to know.
The thing that keeps springing to my mind is the ph.
When you mix lots of different media to make a 'soil' the end result doesn't always behave like soil, close to soil but still behaves different. I have the same senario with my peat medium...it behaves like soil but isn't.
Imo that could be going on in your case with the mixture of coco in your olive tree mix. It may want a lower ph.

Now, we'll have no more talk of Czechoslovakian state workers or you're on report m'lado.

Good morning Fb :ciao:
As mentioned the ph issue needs solved.
And pests must be eradicated.
Your leaves will show issues while these problems permits.
But I'd be more concerned with kill the traffic wardens right away.
It will be everywhere if you don't knock it out.
Neem / safers insecticidal soap.
Sns, keep trying.
Hope your having a nice weekend my friend.

Stay safe

hmm well I'm waiting on the next time I can water but with this pot it takes ages I will adjust to 6? aim a bit lower?
As I'm wondering ph as now well, since well I already thought soil ph might be to alkaline as well and leaves have it that don't look like they have been visited by critters. I mean it would be a hefty bug if it nibbles just a bit from a leaf it completely keels over a couple days later.

Progression goes likes this

At least she's started to flower
IMG_0504.JPG

I'm waiting until I can feed again and gonna adjust for six so she can rise through it..

I gave a full dose of Hesi flower nutes before lights out levelled down to 6.
The problem is I can't water often, it takes ages for that pot to dry out now, I got the little fan aiming at the branches above the soil & below the canopy.
For now she's still making leaves but that will slow down soon, and their going rate is a bit too high, I'll need some for flowering..

Not looking too great, loads of yellow, although now it is looking more like deficiency problem as I can see the veins yellowing in more leaves.
Again I don't blame here with all the stress she's suffered, she basically kept going with all the gnats, thrips, all the soap, hydrogenperoxide, neem, and an adult repot.
But she struggling, I'm not hoping on majestic buds.
I do have most of the tent filled, I flowered her early because of the gnat problem, could have had the corners covered as well if I had kept going a few weeks extra.
Although I'm not aiming for more weeks.. next time two photoperiods and get them to fill 50x50cm then flower. That should be most time & space efficient.

but first get her through the next weeks.
Dunno what I can do, I'm giving full flower nutes, low ph, all I have in the cupboard is hesi phospor plus as an extra.

Good morning Fenderbender :ciao: hope you are well my friend.
Your girl doesn't like the nitrogen portion of your nutrients.
What ph are you feeding at
What's your procedure mixing nutrients, including order of mixing?
What exactly is in her pot?
Sorry terrible memory.
Hope your well Amigo.

Stay safe

hmm does NOT like the nitrogen part... that's usually a large part.
Might need to get some fresh ones? as I did carry these over from last year and I'm reaching end of bottle
at the moment I'm only giving Hesi Flowering nutes at the moment. Last level was at 6,2ph
Procedure is measure the amount on 10l water mix it in, leave it a bit, measure it then add drops of ph- and mix & measure.
In the pot is that DCM olive, citrus tree soil, and one feeding of the zamnesia monster bud mix.

Yeah that 'soil' is a concoction of lots of things..not much actual organic soil though.
When it says fertiliser there's usually only a little that runs out by now unless it's time released fertiliser, those can cause problems when adding extra bottle feed.

New growth is still looking great, should be able to nurse the plant to the finish line. :thumb:

Yeah looks like it's pretty peaty and fibrous, I've ordered some Plagron for the next grow.

The plant is very thirsty at the moment, not so long ago it would stay wet for week, now it's dry in two days.
I do think she'll do her best to finish something but I don't think it will be what could have.
I've removed so many leaves and there's plenty on there that are goners as well.
So she's just going to get by on sugar leaves if this keeps up.

Anybody know what this is?
I mean yes weed, but weeds have been classified as well.
It's been growing there for a couple of years now, and well we've been watering it when it's dry but otherwise just left it as it was already making these amazing large leaves and the past months it has become pretty massive.. the large leaves are easily half a metre long.

Ah bit of googling, this might be African Hemp/Sparmannia Africana oder Zimmerlinde auf Deutsch.
Certainly has those characteristics.
Hmm kinda tempted to try to get a piece inside, those leaves might be too daunting to the cats and they have a floppy texture not a grasslike texture.
And they can grow up to 8 metres.. kinda fancy something big in house, as currently there are no plants except for MJ

I'm harvesting the channel, despite everything she managed some buds.. but I haven't been able to stop the progression so in the end as predicted she only had a few green sugar leaves on top all the rest wilted away.
No pictures as it hurts to look at the plant, but there's some nuggies.. small but dense.
Sigh..
First up is cleaning out the tent.. deep.. I'm going to decouple the venting system and really wipe that down from all sides as well.. and so I can get to all surface areas of the tent, as I don't want anything that plagued me this time hiding somewhere for the next grow.

I still got two channel seeds and those two new root pots.. I'm gonna try nothing fancy but just go by the growing schedule.. sprout, veg for 2-3 weeks, flower.. instead of trying to get one to fill the tent with such a long veg period and lots of time for problems to develop.
I'm also going to try the layering with perlite in the cans so I get better drainage and aeration.
And well not the soil from last time, and put up some fly traps from the get go, Instead of ordering them when you notice the problem.. more prevention.

I also need fresh nutes..
Either a new starter kit from Hesi, that gets you a whole bunch of products.
Or I was thinking Biocanna Rhizotonic, Vega & Flores keep it simple.
I mean not many options here, Plagron, Canna, Hesi, Mills, & Bac.

After a little holiday back on track..
Tent is clean.

I went for Biocanna nutes and Plagron soil,
Just filled the two root pouches with alternating layers soil & perlite, I've sprayed the perlite with water as per Bill's instructions, I added Rhizotonic to it, cause I thought why not?
Now I'm just waiting for the seeds to crack open.

Jeeej, yeah I'm hoping for a good run this time.. I'm gonna adhere to the feed schedule and flip after 2-3 weeks of veg.. when I looked at the plant last time that should be alright for covering 50x50cm. And now I've got two instead of trying to fill it all out with 1 which takes way too long and has the potential for more problems to arise.

Only problem at the moment is the weather, it's gonna be heatwavy the next few weeks and the lamp doesn't have a dimmer.

Sounds like a good plan brewing.
Know how you feel about the weather. I had to wait out the last 2 weeks of July heatwave to start mine.
Mine are 13 days old now and we've got another heatwave. So far I've kept the temp under 30°c in the tent by raising the extraction and the seedlings are loving it.
Fresh starts..here we go..:thumb:

Hey Fb :ciao: hope you are well my friend.
Looking forward to seeing your girls.
Just curious I paid $75 up here for perlite, what did you pay?

Stay safe
