G4-QB132 x12 RDWC 6x Jack Herer 4x4

Soon I'll have enough cash to set up a 4 x 4 in my new place. Do you think I could run a single bubble bucket along with a copy of pots of soil. Maybe I'll try one to see how I do with it

if you are growing a sativa strain, you could fill out that 4x4 with 3 5gal buckets if trained correctly to grow wide. Its what i've been considering trying in my 4x8 but money's so tight for me right now that i cant buy upgrades and pay off debt + take the new girlfriend out on fun dates lol. So i have to just not buy more led panels for a while haha.

If you are doing just a single strain in the middle of the 4x4, definitely go with a sativa so it spreads out more. Whats nice with sativa's is you can really train them out horizontally by manipulating the light to be further away so it causes more stretch and gives you that length you need for bending outwards. Thats basically what happend with my last grow with the mars 2 1600 light, it was never close enough (was my first grow with the light) and it really caused some intense stretching but in the end i got an amazing yield from 3 out of the 6 rdwc plants where the other 3 failed miserably but were trumped by the 3 that succeeded cause they filled out so amazingly.

what do you mean by "with a copy of pots of soil"?

I definitely recommend getting the great white as you've seen what it did to my roots lol.

the hydro will outperform the soil and quickly so you will have to stay on top of it by topping it multiple times to make it stay low and with same height as the soil (if you are going for an even canopy)

Everything is coming along nicely since the rez water change. There were a couple of leaf's i noticed from plant #6 (back right side corner plant) that had clear magnesium and calcium dmg to half of one of its fingers but it was the only one of its kind. There were mildly hit magnesium signs on a few leafs out of the 100's i clipped lol, but literally only like 4 or 5 total and from different plants. This could be because f-day 2 through 7 it never hit 6.2 ph. It hit it for 1 day on fday8 but then right back down again until today it finally got some 6.2 to 6.27 before i ph'd back down. Who knows, not a huge concern for me unless its widespread and so far it isnt. I'll continue to keep my eyes on the smaller growth now that its been so heavily defoliated. Happy growing people!

LOL yeah, I’d say you are for sure. I’m running Botanicare PBP on my current grow (first RDWC) because I’ve heard it produces the best flavors, but unless it blows me away I think I’m going to a very simple nute lineup. Tired of having a million bottles around.

-VegBloom (One Part)
-Elite99 Root Stimulator
-ReCharge and Great White bennies
Vys - So far so good with the recharge in dwc, here’s what it does to root color after 3 days. I’ll only be going heavier in the future so I expect darker results to come :) one unexpected outcome is I think the cocoa smell neutralizes the typical nutrient smell. My room went from smelling like a hydro shop to being very odor neutral. Weird.

Awesome journal!! I'm following with 2 jack's and using the trio and most all of the same nutes as well just 2 weeks or so behind. Those are some serious plants you have built up!!

So here they are as of today! All in great shape. They are still a bit bushy and very shaded down below so imthinking of doing another heavy defoliation next chance i get. I really hope i can cut off enough leafs to get a little light shining down so i know its good but given how compact they are its hard to do that without cutting off all of its bigger leafs. I feel like it would be left with mostly sugar leafs and hardly any fan leafs haha. Either way i think the yield should be decent.

What do you guys think? Another heavy defoliation due?

I spent over an hour giving Plant #1 a VERY heavy defoliation. Big leaves, small leaves, upper leaves, you name it, cut off a shit ton. Plan to do this again to P2 and P3 later tonight when lights on at 11pm. Light is finally reaching deep in there as you can see, and im very happy with that. Hopefully she handles it well.

VIDEO: If you don't want to watch the video, basically im just showcasing everything and explaining how Plant #6 (back right corner) has the biggest buds of them all and was the least defoliated as an experiment where as P1 = the most defoliated and has the smallest buds, followed by each plant in order being less defoliated and having bigger buds up top. This could be because i did a medium to somewhat heavy defoliation day 21 on P1 through 5 and it wasn't adequate(heavy) enough so i ended up doing more defoliation's on day 30+ which could have easily been the cause of the bud stunt where P6 didn't get the stunt thus has the biggest buds. Who knows, P1 may yield more due to medium to large nugs all the way down the plant where the others have more popcorn towards bottom due to less defoliation. Next time i grow this strain ill need to make sure to do the defoliation exactly on time (A day before flip and again on f-day 21) as well as leave a single one untouched after f-day and see how the results go.

One things for sure, i definitely love the penetration of these quantum board :D Even the completely shaded stuff has a very acceptable amount of pistols so they will be decent little buds.
