Very happy and healthy! Tbh I'm surprised they did this well with such low nutrients for this long haha. Not seeing tip burn for once is quite nice.

I'm thinking of upping the Watts so I can get tighter space between nodes so come flower I get nicely stacked colas. In theory anyways lol

Haha thanks! You should see em now lol. I'm going to be moving them tonight so they are out of my room and into the living room 4x8 tent. I'll also be giving them a very heavy defoliation followed by some LST to widen them a bit before flip!
Busy night ahead of me lol

should be a great harvest for you there.

Hey!

I was about to order a 6pot rdwc system untill I saw your 2 grows! I love your grows man.

Where did you buy your rdwc system and what did it cost? And if you clean the system water, do you take everything out of the system and put completelly new water in? If so how do you get it out of your system?
Sorry I'm a newbie to this, but would love to learn more.

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed them
I purchased my system from amazon umder the title 'Hydro west aquabuckets 5 gallon 6 site'
It cost 242 plus 22 shipping. A bit pricey but comes with everything you need to start and if I were to go through the hassle of building it myself, the price was coming out damn near the same.

The pump I use to empty the rez is: SumpMarine UTP 115-Volt 330 GPH...

I change the rez water out after 60 days but ran into issues with too unbalanced nutes so I'll be trying every 30 days from now on.
I simply empty out the rez bucket via pump until rez bucket is mostly empty (or air starts getting sucked up)and I unplug pump to let the other buckets water flow back into rez. Repeat until majority of water has drained as much as you can.

Then I refill with non ph'd water back to fill line. Re-add your nutes and a couple TBS of ph down and check ph in a couple hours or longer and keep adjusting as necessary

therw are a lot of people producing sytems now too. the "rush" ones seem to be a good purchase now. i bought "root rapid 8 pot (+1 control) rdwc" for just under £200 (uk supplier) is my first dip in this medium and now ( thanks to lots of support around nute mixes) have a jungle growing in no time at all.
with you on the vys grows , love the work and results.

storming it mate. looks amazing there. defol is a pain in the arse , needed but still a pain in the arse.lol
With the node lengths , what about tip spreading ? does work if not a lot of finicky work to do it. i did experiment with but topping too and was very happy with the result on my last grow for the red diesel.
def going to be a bumper crop for you vys

it is a technique for shortening the node lengths. there is some onfo on here about it too but basic idea is once topped and ready to lst , you take a toothpick or small pick of sorts and where each new tip is , you seperate and open gently , the leaf sets as they emerge from the tip. a bit like when fimming and trying to catch the newest growth and the outer, older growth with a snip. It is this area where the spreading is used to open them out as soon as you see a pair to open. With a lot of plants and heads, this can be very time consuming but it works well. The nodes stack up closer. try " tip spreading" in the search here for a better and hopefully photos , explaination.

Hi vyserage. Do you have 6 qb boards in a 4x4 ?

I have 12x qb132 3500k in a 4x4. I just recently moved them into a 4x8 tent so I have room to actually do things inside haha. Makes defoliation and training much easier for dealing with the fast growth of hydro.

Interesting! I'll be looking this up when I have time

Holy moly 12! I bet there's no shadows
Ya I absolutely love it
Great light coverage and basically no shade aside from under the plants when they get super bushy
