G4-QB132 x12 RDWC 6x Jack Herer 4x4

have done both but only ever apart. It is really all about the slow dry and no trimming at all till bone dry , she will use up every last drop of chloryphil ect.. staying alive , flushing prolongs her starvation to death over a longer period ( 2 weeks flushing +7 days drying v 10 days drying properly and feeding her until the end of the harvest period ???). No nutes ever come back out of the roots or stems and her stores are for emergencies like starvation !. Flushing slowly forces her to use the stores sooner and stresses her for a longer period prior to eventually harvesting. feeding her till harvest , avoids her being tortured while her food and water are cut off , until it is absolutely necessary.
The slow dry forces her to use her stores in the leaves leaves create harshness and unused chloryphil in them creates heat when burning too, creating an uneven burn.. i.m.o lol just sayin
Was that in soil/coco or dwc? I could see no flush with soil/coco, but I just feel like dwc would burn a little harsh?

My nutes came with FloraKleen from general hydro to use to boost the flush. I thought the same since in dwc it's not like it's organic soil gardening where it's all natural, but instead some gnarly chemicals. A flush would be the easiest res change ever for a day or two, certainly not for 2 weeks.

How are they coming along? Also they are all connected right? How do you even maneuver to get in to trim leaves??

I just kinda pry them open and cut off any leaves i feel like they dont need or are blocking too much light from reaching further in. At this point however i havent been cutting any leaves and am just letting them finish up haha. I may not even bother with a flush. If i do decide to flush, ill likely only go 2 or 3 days of a flush before chopping and letting them hang dry for a week or longer if i can get more time out of it. Ideally i'd love to be able to hang dry for 10 days atleast. I just may get away with that too since its winter and so damn cold here (38f at nights as of late)

i havent done a rdwc dry yet ( 1st attempt being finished now with no flushing) but i sobstand by drying sliw and allowing her to cannabalize during it and i did not need to cure at all. They smelled beautiful as soon as you broke the bud. , no harshness or popping.

Nice man, I usually do whole plant hang after harvest so it can somewhat naturally die on the vine. This is my first run with DWC, and right now the plan is to flush out the last 1-2 weeks, then go lights out completely for 48 hours while hitting it with super cold ice water to shock ripen for one last burst of trich development, then chop/ hang/dry/smoke :)

I’ll do some research into no flush as you’ve piqued my curiosity. Prob won’t do it this run, but wouldn’t mind running this pheno again with no flush and compare the two.

At this point its pretty clear to see based on the images that plant #6 that was the least defoliated since day 21 in flowering, has the biggest buds and is turning a lighter green due to wanting more food. If i grow this strain in the future, im going to make damn sure i do a defoliation on time (f-day 21) and not touch the upper leafs. I feel like if i had just lolipopped it, those big buds up top may have even turned out bigger, who knows! Thats the fun of experimenting with new strains!

Thanks :D Not much longer! On day 56 ill likely get a closeup of trichomes, followed by starting my next grow's clones.

I still feel like its not as much as my Sativa's gave me (From grow 3) but the buds are very dense so perhaps thats where alot of my weight is going to be.

Based on your results from this grow, what do you see as the sweet spot for lollipopping JH? I’m thinking of leaving about a forearms length from top of cola for bud stacking and development, then stripping everything below including full branches of bud sites that’ll never get to top of canopy or develop into anything substantial. Planning to grow JH soon and want to leverage a lot of the insight and lessons learned you’ve shared. Great job on the grow once again, looking forward to the trich pics and suspect all of these will smoke amazingly smooth with a lot of great flavor!

With 12 boards in a 4x4 I'd think light penatration would be good at least half way through to the pots. It's gotta be bright AF
It definitely is good half way through, I'll get a good video tonight at lights on for you guys.

If I could go back to day 21 and lollipop, It's something you gotta play by experience and chance if it's a new strain. I think what I would have done was measured out the plants height and went to just below the half way point and chopped off everything not near the top or 3 or 4 inches below the top.

To be honest it's always nice to experiment with 1 and not the other so you can see the differences.

I should add, if you have a less bushy plant you can get away with spreading the cola's out wider for more light to get in which means you could lollipop even lower down. In my case i would choose to have done half because of how super bushy and compact all my plants are.
