changed 25gallon res today as follows:
CalMag Plus 1cup

So yeah ... im gonna have a jungle pretty soon. Still have a couple questionable sexes, but will just cut them down at the base if they are male and pull them out ... being i put the questionable ones in the back on the edges.

i am by no mean an expert but the male calyx is raised, and a female isnt raised.
where did you get ur netting at for the SCROG and how big are the holes? that is a sweet idea, love the setup

i think i picked up the netting at a super wal-mart ... yeah I know walmart sux ...
the squares are 1" ... i figure if the squares get too small ..its very simple to cut out a 4" hole where needed, but I think 1" will be enough.
Metal chickenwire and 420 don't mix well in my first experience ... I looked at trellis, but 8" holes are waaaay too big. we will see.
its set up now where the light is almost 19" above the top of the netting ...and at this height its very easy for me to work underneath if needbe ... ya know ..adjust drippers ..unclog or cut stuff out...add more ... ect.
I dont think there is an absolute correct scrog method ...but sure seems more logical to me to allow a plant to grow out more naturally first and then either clean up inbetween the mains or smush up stuff to make more room for the neighbor plant.
Ill be taking the diesel and white widow clones outside next week or so to plant and grow out ..which will be my mothers for the upcoming aero grow.
Lastly ..i just ordered 5 fem barney's eL SSS Dee which will be grown outside as well. I think between 8 plants I could come up with 36 decent cuttings to fill the aeroflo2.
btw... how long does a cutting stay good until putting it in the aeroflo? In other words ... drive 40 minutes to get cuttings ... talk and bs a bit with friends ...drive back 40 minutes ... insert in aeroflo ... is that too long?

ya 1-2" should be fine on the netting. i dont like chicken wire because then u have to cut the wire to get the buds out, and its not fun to cut threw that stuff. where with ur netting it will be very easy to cut if needed witch i hop ur buds get that fat where u have to.lol..
the best SCROG grow i have ever seen what with white widow, 1 plant in DWC with the screen 20" high. he veges for 10 days under hid then flips then to 12/12 with a 400w hps. and pulls about 12oz from one plant in 60days. so i do believe that the higher screen dose help. he seems to think the 20" is the magic spot for his withe widow. and it shows on his yield he is right. now check this out he use to grow 8 plants or around their, and went down to 3 plants scrog with the same yield as the 8, then went to 2 bigger plants scrog and got the best yield. now he dose on big ass plant and gets less yield then two but not by too much. sometimes less is more with scrog. he also dosent prune or trim the lower stuff just leaves it alone
i think your clones can last for a while. i drive an hour in 100F* weather all the time and mine live always. but my are already rooted in RW and i just transplant them into dirt.

9 x out of 10 this a male.. Sorry.. When my strain looks like this I call it a hand giving me the middle finger, you called it a claw.... Same thing...LOL

I destroyed two godbud males today
leaves me with 1 fem Godbud ... its a good one though so its 2 cuttings will be mothers as well. Still awaiting patiently for the above jack herer to show its real sex... no balls yet.

heh..well .. being the jack herer seeds didn't sprout for shit i only was able to get 3 going good ... 1 is a definite female .. one is pictured above and still questionable ..and one in the back ..which is progressing slowly.
Found a surprise today though ... looking for more clone sites on my diesel i found the white hairs coming from a godbud ..which i thought was a male ..so 2 gods now

I contacted sensi seeds ...sent them photos ..ect ... seems they will send me some sort of haze fem seeds for my trouble .... they did mention they had some experimental JH fems ... i said id take either.
So yeah ..3 dwarfs ... 3 plants ...and 4 duds from 10 seeds that cost that much money lol. Im growing one of the dwarfs in my closet with the clones ...it actually seems to be accelerating ..so maybe ill put it in the tent if it actually gets large enough.
So ..the talley now sure fems are 2 godbud, 1 jack herer, diesel, white widow, blue fruit, blue hash, blue widow and 2 unknowns ... one of which looks like a male ..the other is the above pictured.
for now on though .. definitely will only purchase fem seeds ..if i ever purchase them again even. I have a good start i think for a few generations of aerogrows.

ya i here you, thats why i only stick with clones, too much waiting to find out them if u get a male its throws off ur game if ur weren't expecting it. well at least the seed comp is going to hook u up. then clone those girls and have a mom then no need to worries anymore about males.

hasn't shown yet. ive been on it almost every hour lol. looks the same as the other JH, but no hairs yet ...definitely no balls. Sensi said in the same reply about my poor seeds that one of the phenos of the JH is very very slow sexing, but the one that is slow is the best one... so ill keep my fingers crossed. I cut 5 clones from that one... so we will see.
