Newbie's First Grow Journal

Well, I search like hell after work today for the Tomato & Blossom Set Spray.. Hit the local grow shop, a nursery, Lowes, Menards and even Miejers.. I would have tried Home Depot but there wasn't one close by.. Ended up getting on my cell phone and ordering it thru Amazon, with my prime account I get overnight shipping for $3.99 so it will be here tomorrow..
 
crazy i see it at every store in my lil podunk town that has any kind of garden supplies but im glad you found some
 
no closet or low light corner? i would not do it to all of them what may make her flower could make the rest hermie, if you cant do the darkness the spray may do the trick, how many hours dark are they getting? 12? you can mimick nature by reducing light increasing dark to 13 hours light to 11 called dlr diminishing light routine many use this to help harvst be faster ,more trichs :thumb:
 
Ok.. I took the clothes out of my bedroom closet and put it all in the hallway coat closet.. Spray my lady down and tucked her in there just before the lights came on tonight so she has 12 hours of darkness already..
 
24-36 straight hours of dark should be enough to give her a kick start and with the spray i would hit her again lightly before you put her under the light again, prolly best to let the spray dry up first and im thinking you should see flowers forming real good in 4-5 days 7-8 at the most if not perhaps she would make some nice compost!

well alright! good to see ! are you planning on hitting her with the spray again? i would once a week till shes budded really well! its a damn jubgle in there brother! +reps:thumb:
 
Tonight I harvested my Auto Blueberry.. was 8 weeks old, mostly red hairs and most tric's were milky.. I left more bud on there than I took off though, thats the sections I CS'd so I'm hoping they produce some seeds for me! Will let it go in the closet for as long as I can to give it a chance to grow mature seeds.. I will be lucky to get 1/2 oz dry weight but will be more like a 1/4+. I took a small bud off the other day and dried it out by letting it sit on my cable box for 24 hours.. Smoked it last night and was quite pleased with the effects. Was smooth, didn't cough once, didn't really taste like anything I could determine, smells awesome though! That one little plant was stinking up my entire house while in the closet. I'll need to get a carbon filter when the clones start to flower. My tent won't be freed up in time for them..

BID, you ever try those Bloom Spectrum T5 bulbs? I bough an 8 pack from HTG Supply, 54watts.. I wonder if those will be better than the veg T5's? End of the month I'll switch to 12/12 on those.. Not going 2 months veg any more! The ladies in my tent got out of control! lol
 
i was thinking bout getting some 2700k t5s for my scrog, but have not so far, its hard for me to spend money on lights givin i have only 2 of my 4 big lights even plugged in! got a 600 and a 400 just sitting on the shelf! im thinking on switching the 4x2 6 lamp t5 to the 400 hps for the rest of flower in the scrog
 
I went ahead and put 3 of the bloom bulbs in my 6 bulb T5 light.. Going to run that for a week or so, then switch to 12/12 and run another week then go all T5 bloom bulbs in my closet. I only have 1 tent which won't be freed up for the clones I have going in my closet.. They are from 8" to 12" already..
 
Day 40 of flower..

I'm going to do 3 separate posts to get everyone caught up..

First the tent photos.. All the ladies are doing great! I am getting some yellow spots (could be white, not sure as the HPS is yellow'ish.. This isn't white mold, its in the leaf itself.. Not sure what it is.. Or if I should be worried about it at this point since I'm 2 to 3 weeks away from harvest.

I had to put some stakes in tonight as some branches couldn't hold up the weight of the cola's.. Man, does my arm smell AWESOME! I'm typing this and smelling the buds my arms were up against while staking them..

THis is the problem child that I had put in the closet for 36 hours of darkness and sprayed with Tomato Blossom Set.. I would have thought the buds would be growing good by now but as you can see, it is starting to bud.. Just hope she is worth the effort! I keep having to LST her to keep the branches down from touching the light.. She is 7 feet tall!

looking great!! im not sure they look like they will be ready in 2 weeks tho,,are you counting from flip or first signs of flowers? i have learned that the breeders mean from the first flowers when they say 8weeks, so it coiuld mean 10-12 weeks from the flip, you miss out on alot of weight and quality cutting to soon, to my eyes they look like a month away maybe 3 weeks, you have a hella jungle:thumb:
 
I know what to look for before harvest but I am hoping! lol Know that you mention about counting from time of flowering, I switched my clones to 12/12 rather than wait till this weekend as I need them to be finished prior to Feb 1st..

Tonight I'll bring a white light in with me and snap some photo's that a bit better than with the HPS's on.. :) I'd like to see them in normal lighting anyway..

The first 3 are the Skywalker which is doing quite well. I had to put 2 stakes in for her today to hold the buds up..

This is a Jack Herer which is having trouble growing big buds but am seeing changes daily.. Starting to fill out.. I have high hopes for her! The problem child is the other JH.. Most be the strain! They even gave me problems germinating.. out of 12 seeds, only 2 grew.. and both have budding issues.. At least this one IS budding, just taking her time..

they look really good!!:goodjob:iits as i was thinking they have a ways to go,the jack will bulk but it tends to do it at the end the last 2 weeks, they will all frost up much more in the weeks to come, try adding a tsp molasses to each gallon of feed/water ,are you using any bloom booster besides the spray you just got, you can use that on all of them to increase flowers, are you using the bpn farmers pride 7 part? are you "brewing nutes" before feeding?

I feed them every 2 days just when the lights come on. The soil gets dry by then and feel's light when lifted but the leaves aren't dropping yet. I mix Fox Farm nutes according to their feeding chart, I add some Beesties PK (0-50-30) once a week to the water feeding and twice a week give them some cal-mag and once a week some Liquid Karma. Every other feeding is water with the beeties and cal-mag. Thats about it.. I flushed them once so far as I haven't had any problems with nutes lock yet but plan to flush them all this weekend which will probably be the last time..

I use tap water for my ladies. I fill 5 gal buckets after each feeding so it has 2 full days to De-clorinate. I have 2 44 gal Brute bins that I filled for the flushing.
