Doing better already

Yep thanks for the help guys we’ll see which ones root faster! I got friends lined up for May 24 to be planting these puppies I better deliver!

Inside the tent today they got 10hrs of dark tomorrow will be their first full night and they look awesome! They already fully releafed from the other days defoliation and it is a beautiful sea of green!

I took pre stretch measurements as a baseline:

Spring is in the Air!
Day 2 of Bloooom

These plants are perfectly setup heading into flower. Nothing but a level, even verdant green! I can’t find a single thing to complain about! It’s amazing how well these plants are doing I love opening up this tent! They have completely releafed themselves since the defoliation but I will leave the tops to fight for dominance in the bush now. I want them to be completely stress free as they transition into flower and go through a hopefully nice big stretch for some 2 foot colas

Auto Irrigation Commissioning
I used some 1x2 wood shims to level the pots up. The middles of the resin racks have started to sag with the weight. I fed them for 6mins or so using my system after pushing all the rings down and staking the edges of the plates. Still not enough flow to the edges, I’ve ordered an 800gph pump to kick it up a notch. I hand watered a couple more gallons to quite a bit of runoff to make sure I got the edges watered and to give them a good fresh soak pushing out some buildup before bloom. The plates work amazing at dispersing the water and protecting the medium from erosion when enough water hits them!

So much for stress free!
I remember the exact moment I thought man you should just leave her alone or at least move the tie higher up. But no, the rookie in me pushed her a little far trying to level up two branches! The first and only split this grow

All good though she got a splint. Those first aid courses I take every other year came in handy

Clone Wars
Last but not least the babies:

The domed rapid rooter clones look amazing still. I’ve cracked the vents slightly each day - they are about halfway open now. Humidity has stayed nice and high and the heat mat has temp in the dome about 25. No sign of roots yet.

The bubbler babies are on the other hand in need of a miracle! I checked and discovered the water was pretty chilly being in my basement so they had to go back in the tent under the led light with a little heater.

I employed @MrSauga’s advice though and they didn’t completely keel over yet.

Hope the clones make it, I love the long stretched colas. They can give you some big yields.

With any luck, if they all double in height the plants will be 30-35” tall each which should be perfect, I won’t even need to move my lights.

Phew!
When they completely keel over remove it! :cheesygrinsmiley:

Ye of little faith! I’m picturing the last day when they are almost sideways, root burst through in overtime and they become the hardiest muthas going from their early on struggle!

Or I get my air stones freed up sooner rather than later for my res and stick to rapid rooters.

Don’t give up until they turn mushy. Lol

That’s the spirit

Good call! Optimism is best! I myself have never tried cloning so your success or failure will determine my next move. :)

So far if the rapid rooter clonetake in a decent time frame that will be my method hands down, $30 for 50 rooters which can be used for seeds too, $10 for a dome and tray, $10 for cloning gel. Super simple too. The bubble cloner is a bit of a pain in the ass, But I should give it another shot next run before giving up, much of the issues are probably user error attributed and I see all these guys getting lots of roots in a week or less with them.

I’m just now getting into cloning, I’m batting .500

Good thing I took way more clones than I need!

I made an aero cloner that worked well. I’m just using solo cups with coco. Them trick is make sure they don’t stay “wet” just moist. If they’re wet they have no reason to grow roots and they will die eventually.

Yeah I read that, I give my rooters a soft squeeze every night to drain out any extra water they’ve sucked up. I think I put too much in the tray at the start the rooters were sucking it up and staying wet

Lying in bed I had an aha moment. Forgot I had this little old girl. Maybe being cheap as hell and poor quality will come in handy for once!
