Clones In Soil: Hybrid Perpetual Grow 2021/2022

They’re already popping back up towards the light. Hopefully I damaged her just enough to poke back up, but not straight back up.
Now I know that I don’t have to stop super cropping during flower. My canopy was so nice and even until I stopped super cropping.
All an all the canopy is looking pretty even for the most part.
Thanks again guys!! :thumb:

Hey @420giirl great garden.
Nice work on the canopy, super cropping is spot on.
Keep up the good work.

Stay safe

Transplanted 5 clones into fox farm happy frog soil.
Do I count today as the first day of Veg, now that they are in soil?
Whoa…. :battingeyelashes:
Check out these roots!!!! Now that I know I can get roots in perlite, I’ll make sure to take better cuttings next time lol bc these ones are looking a little drab ish atm! If I didn’t know for a fact they have roots, I think I would have to start over lol :meditate:

Ut oh, it’s looking pretty dense under there,

I’ve noticed a few leaves that die off on their own bc I assume they’re not getting enough light. But it’s not very many at all!

Other than removing what’s dead, I haven’t done anything to the canopy, except for supercropping to try and keep the height in check.

Mature fan leaves are always a net gain for the plant.

They're no longer in the hormone loop, so removing them does nothing for growth habit. It won't stimulate any new growth at the top like removing new fans does, for instance. The old ones just keep converting light to energy until they eventually die off, and they take nothing from the rest of the plant in return.

And with the wattage/sqft that you're running, you should have sufficient penetration to reach anything they might be shading.

Let the plant regulate itself for now. If a fan goes to negative energy, the plant will dump it on its own. You'll want those fans later in bloom. I usually struggle to keep enough healthy ones for those last couple weeks.

Oh kay, I get it, it makes perfect sense to me now! Thanks for taking the time to explain it to me. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Here are some shots from my first grow compared to my 2nd grow this exact same time. (4wks flower)
The only significant change is the nutrients. First grow was done using fox farm nutrients and soil, with a 100w led light by spider farmer.
Current (2nd) grow is using prescription blend nutrients and fox farm soil (happy frog) With a 300w mars hydro led light. I was hoping to see a bit of a difference with different nutrients but as I was told before it really doesn’t matter which brand of nutes you use, as long as you use something. I’m hoping to see the difference in the end yield with my new light.

1st grow using fox farm nutrients. This is at 4 weeks flower.

Looks almost like the same exact pictures or plant but they are 2 different grows, one is the clone of the strain called future. The pictures above (1st grow) are of her mother.

This is the clone of future and one of my current grow. She is the only one I was able to successfully clone. until now with my 3rd grow underway all of which are clones of my current (2nd) grow.

Omg my canopy was non existent lmao:rofl:

Lighting is much more significant than nutrients. As long as the plants are getting what they need when they need it, it's the intensity and quality of the light that will increase yields from grow to grow (all other things being equal).
This is true, lighting is extremely critical and is more significant than which nutrients you use as long as they supply what the plants need. Light is how the plants get energy to use the nutrients to grow so light is like the fuel that powers the whole system. There are many good options out there for nutrients and that choice comes down to preference of the grower. Every nutrient line is slightly different and can perform differently in various systems so its about finding something that you like to work with that your garden is happy with.
