Clones In Soil: Hybrid Perpetual Grow 2021/2022

Binder clips and pipe cleaners:
full

The stronger the branch the heavier the weight.

Not at all. Re-bend and hang a weight!
Oh yeah, I keep forgetting to pick up some pipe cleaners every time I’m at the store. Smh…. I believe I do still have some binder clippings though, I’ll try with some string instead of pipe cleaners. I also picked some rocks for the front yard.

I think I have a pic.

If you imagine the branch you want pulled down as the neck, I make a long necklace from twine and I tie in a rock to act like the pendent. Putting it in place feels just like putting on a long chain when you’ve just done your hair. I’m super careful not to mess up my leaves lollll.

I have all different sizes and they work well for me. Gives a curved effect to the branch rather than the blunt angles you get with super topping. And no crackkkkkkk sound.

When training, I like to push what was my inner plant growth outwards so my middle fills. So I use Carhooks™️, then as what was the inner growth moves past the pot which means I can no longer weigh down with skewers, I use my rocks.

Hey there marcus611a, I’m doing pretty good this Tuesday afternoon, how are you?? Let’s see here, my tent is a 3x3 ac infinity cloud lab. And I recently upgraded my light to a hydro farmer FC-E3000 which is 300w.
I really need to get the size of plant I’m growing in check bc I’m growing them out way too big for the space. If I don’t wan to keep upgrading all of my equipment. The struggle is real growing in doors that’s for sure lol
:passitleft:
My light is a mars hydro lol I mixed it up with my other light spider farmer…. I know, I know, smoke another one lmao

1 week and 1 day clone update, we currently have 8 clones in solo cups.
They’re all showing new growth. I’m starting to think about LST here in a week or 2, idk maybe sooner than that. All they’re cups are super light rn but I’m trying to hold out as long as possible, so I’ll probably water tomorrow morning.
:ciao:

Here they all are with new growth. The ones in perlite are the ones I was trying to root in water but decided I didn’t want to wait anymore bc not one had roots yet.

What type of deficiency is this leaf showing?

1F885373-738F-4FA9-8C1B-578E8EDC2456.jpeg

Is this the same deficiency as above or something different, should I be worried? It’s obvi been coming on for awhile so I don’t think it’s bc I re-used fox farm soil. :smokin2:

Might not be a deficiency at all if those were leaves from the original cutting. The original leaves will often die off as the new ones grow in.

There might be leftover nutes in the used soil if you didn't flush it clean before reusing it, so that can cause some trouble with clones, so just keep an eye on the new growth. It's always best to start seeds and clones in fresh soil.

Ok, I went ahead a bent those tall branches. Their buds are looking so good, I can see them forming real nice.

Now I just have to weigh them down so they don’t pop straight back up and I hurt them and almost kill ‘em for nothing, like the first time. SMH

Looks like I caused her to bruise where I was softening the stem so she can bend.

The ladies, one by one…..5 weeks flower…..

Good job Ladybird :)

I think those yellow leaves are just healthy leaves dying off after the shock of being ripped from the mum plant. My bottom clone leaves usually do the same.

Hey guys and gals, I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far! :Namaste:

Whoa guys, I think they’re staying down own their own this time. I hope it isn’t a sign that I damaged her a lil too much? They seem pretty strong where I bent them forming a “knuckle”. It’s also reminding me of a straw bent to where nothing comes thru and cracks. Which also brings me to think the nutrients aren’t going to be able to pass through. I can’t tell if the buds are smaller above the bend bc of it, I want to say they are, but idk yet.

Thank you Trala!!! yeah, can’t say I haven’t done the same thing myself bc I have and boy was I sad, my poor lil babies!

Trala is right, I just broke two last week too. nice work 420Giirl, looking good!
Hey StoneOtter, I actually knocked a top right off by reaching over to mess with something on the other side of the tent..ugh….:eye-roll: I won’t be doing that again. Oh yeah, which reminds me that I noticed on the one branch it came off of, is super frosty…. Look I have pictures lol

Clone update, 2 weeks in fox farm happy frog soil… went ahead with some LST on one of the clones (future) which, will be the 3rd time I grow this strain. I’ll wait another week before I start LST on the others.

Should I start nutrients, the bag @Prescription Blend says to use as needed at this stage, right before Veg?

I originally named future, Sally, when I first got her almost a year ago.
