Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

Happy Monday!
Time for another update...
The plants are doing well this week-Purple Punch is flowering and stretching,and the GDPxGB is just starting to show some pre flowers.
Here's a view from the top,Purple Punch is on the right...

The GDPxGB only grew 1/2 an inch this week,but has gotten considerably wider than she was last Monday...but the PP has grown 9 inches in 7 days...14" tall now,and still growing

The PP needs water every other day now,so she is getting
1 gallon, plus 6 grams Mega Crop every 48 hours- she seems to be loving it so far
no burnt leaf tips or anything. (yet)

And,back by popular demand, a silhouette shot of the PP,now that she's taller...

And the GDPxGB is 31 days old today,still being tied down,so almost no real upward growth
this week-I hope she starts flowering pretty soon so I can let her grow up instead of out.
(The date on the pot is when she was transplanted into the 3 gallon)

Here's one last shot of the PP-she's growing real fast,so If I'm going to run out of room in the box, it's probably going to happen within the next 3 or 4 days...when/if she hits that 2 foot mark,it'll be time to "raise the roof"

Enough about those girls- lets take a look a MsCheese-She's not growing any taller now,just working on them buds... (still 47" tall)

It's been in the high 80's/low 90's all last week,and the hot weather
doesn't bother her a bit..

She's getting watered every 3 days now-14 grams MegaCrop to 2 gallons water-you can see there's some yellow leaves in there, but that's just the original fan leaves that have been on her since day 1- (she went into the ground on 7/9, at 5 days from sprout) so those leaves have served her well,but she's done with them and they're falling off.

I don't really know how long she's been flowering-I saw the first preflowers on 8/5,then she stretched about 2 feet, then the real flowers showed up- so I'll just split the difference and say shes been flowering for 3 weeks....the time doesn't really matter-when the trichomes say shes done,she's done.

Here's the main bud,stacking up nicely,but a long ways to go -

She's doing pretty well, considering she only gets 6 hours of direct sun a day now.

So that's about it for today-
I'll post some pics of any mods I need to do on the box when/if I run out of room.

These plants are so different- the PP is flexible,skinny and a little spindly,and the GDPxGB is
just the opposite-hard,fat branches, and just a "stout" plant in comparison-but she's not stretching yet,so that may change...

Harping alert: If you didn't need to move the pots you could easily tie them wide, loads of empty space getting light. If you don't want to tie them to the walls you can put a few saucers with holes in them and a brick to hold them down, and pipe cleaner to the holes. It's got to be easier than moving the light, no?

Ms Cheese is coming along beautifully!

They probably both are, but I more or less expected it,I just thought it would happen a little slower- till now,I haven't grown anything that grew as fast as that PP-I can look at her every hour,and actually see that she's grown...

That is something to think about-I really only need to bring them out to water them- If I get a little runoff pump (or a turkey baster) I could water them in place.
I can actually put screws in the floor of the box to hold the tiedowns if I need to...
 
Your ladies are looking great. Autos seem to like the megacrop hey. Ms Cheese certainly does. She's awesome.

Thanks,BL- Yeah- 9" in 7 days seems fast,even for cannabis-they may all do that,but
I've not had anything go quite that fast...looking at her this morning,she seems to have slowed a little,but she needs water and food, so that might be why...or she's done stretching,but that
probably won't happen yet,because she would be just the right size if she stopped now...

Thank You,LR-the GDPxGB is starting to worry me a little-she's not even flowering yet,and she's already getting huge-it's going to be a fight for space in that box pretty soon...

@SeedsMan is where I got mine...great selection and quick delivery ...it did take 5 seeds to get 2 to sprout,but that could of been my fault- although I didn't do anything different for the 2 that popped.
No biggie-they can't all be gems...

I used to,but I think they figured out I'm an old fart-now I get "shrink that prostate" emails instead :)

Do you have a bunch of round hard balls about 1/4" (6mm) diameter in yours? I'm crushing them before adding the Mega Crop to the water, otherwise it takes forever for them to dissolve.
 
Yes,I do -I put the measured out MC in a little pill bottle with warm water and shake it up for about half a minute,and it dissolves them,then just dump it into the water-
I've noticed the balls get bigger over time,I guess from moisture in the air.
I keep a few silica gel packets in with the MC,it helps a little-the chunks grow a little slower
 
I have no trouble dissolving my MC in regular tap water, but it does need to be stirred immediately after dumping in the amount.

Mine has small white and brown balls, and the bag sucks up moisture like a sponge. I squeeze the air out before I seal it up.
 
I think you could lower the RH in a tent just by leaving an open bag of MegaCrop in there...
