Cafe Racer Outdoor And Indoor, Perpetual Grow

Wow that last one Thriving there right next to the Cedar trees. Talk about adaptability to the acidic soil. She might become a monster! :thumb:
Thanks, bro. Hopefully that 1 will not monster...want to keep it on the down-low or it may get stolen well into flower. My camera does not cover that spot. lol

Soooo much rain this year. Heavy winds, cold nights. Quad branches still way too softt to my liking. One got snapped and will try to root it.
But MAN! So much stretch in the past few weeks. The first two are at 3 feet already. So glad my neighbour seems to be cool with it.

Ida, on the right was the one to get a quad branch snapped.

Having problems with the clones. Two are going yellow and in the following pic. I took the domes off for a few minhutes to acclimate them to the open air. Thought they were soon to be independant, and they curled in no time flat. I put the domes back on with the vents open.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Take care. :Namaste:

Plants look great Scott and tell your neighbour you give a couple grams if he chill with over the fence LOL, cause the buds sure to be sticking top of the fence in 2 months :ganjamon:

Sorry about the clones, I had issues myself Im not much help there. I used P-K watering to help my clones root faster. But the still suffered. I found not touching them at all the hardest thing to do.

Silica can help strengthen branches. Lots of commercial products on the market or, if you're growing organic, several plants are high in it like horsetail fern and dandelion.
Thanks Azi. I checked out one of your links on you-tube and have plenty of brown sugar. I was planning on making tea for the autumn soil amendment but I will see if anymore dandelion pops up' Will look up horse tail fern.
Cheers

Good afternoon, my friends. Had a day off yesterday so I got busy and prepared my flower space although Eve and Deidre is still in veg. The light is a 200 watt Barrina but they boast that it is an equivalent to 325 watts. The move is done and just need to switch the time to 12/12 when they are ready.
IMG_20220624_D&E.jpg

Put the clones with Hannah and put my 125 watt to rest. It gives off quite a bit of heat but handy to have

Did quite a bit of defoliation but but it still isn't enough. Never had plants so robust in my life.
Here are the top views.

As you can see, I still have some defoliation to do but do not want to over stress them.

Have a great weekend. Today I shall work on my outdoor plants. :Namaste:

Still having a problem with the clones. The yellowing is telling me a possible manganese deficiency. And those still under the domes start curling at the leaves within minutes of reming the domes. I even leave the vents open trying to acclimate them.. I tried a foliar spray early this morning before lights on, to no avail. :( This is how they looked 3 days ago.

This is now. The one on the right is under dome. I don't get it.

The 2 on the left aren't domed but just sprayed them with declorinated water.

Again, thank you.

They're a little droopy but not all that bad. I'd let them be 'undomed' for a bit to see if they can adjust.

And they'll often yellow a bit as they are popping roots, so just be a bit patient with them.

Also, I'll often un-dome them just before lights out if I think they're ready as the humidity goes up when the light go out so it is a bit of a softer transition for them.

Thanks Azi but it is the two on the left that has been undomed for over a week. Its the others that go curly after 5 minutes un-domed. Unfortunately I am usually asleep by lights out but can remove them a little early and try try it, thanks.
Just started some dandelion tea, thanks for the link in your signature.

I hope the yellowing goes well, I need two good ones for my perpetual grow.
Cheers.

It's working out pretty well. That night, I put them into the kitchen with no direct sun but still bright.
They are healing well enough. They are meant for Andrea's friend who was recently diagnosed with cancer and her plants didn't fare to well.
Cheers

Oh well! I believe that GIGI the unsexed and grown apart outside has hermied.

If I can nip them off daily, can I at least get some half decent bubble-hash?

I also have a clone from it and I think it has its' mothers' traits so does it quarantee that it will also be a hermie?

Have a good one, my friends,
Cheers

A clone is an exact replica of the parent. Well, mostly at least. Sometimes when taking a clone with non-sterilized tools you can transmit a virus which can then mutate some genes, but whatever traits the mother has, the clone will also.

Sorry to hear brother.

It looks like a male tho? are you sure it was feminized? In the photo I can see only a stamen by itself no calyx or pistils... ?

No bro! It was an extra seed I had from an old plant. Was why I planted it haphazardly behind the garden. Wasn't counting on it an will still have a shitload with my present 7.

Cheers

:bravo:
That grow space looks awesome Scott. Love how you got several things going on and they all look awesome.

Kudos on the clones the look very good. The 2 quad look thick and they got tons of light. Monster prediction
Thanks D. Methinks that I planted Julie and Candice too early at the end of May. I was hoping that quadlining them would have kept them to within 4-5 feet but the growth within the last ten days was a good 6 inches.
I wish the heck that I had Bill's backyard so I could grow, grow and grow!!

10 days later.... although I lowered the camera level to the fence post.

IMG_20220628.jpg

If I "squozed or squeezed or pinched" the branches without toppling or weakening them, can I stunt the growth?
Crazy weather, unpredictable storms. Maybe I should wait untill I add the "dandelion tea" for strength before attempting that.. It should be ready in a few days.
I have never had to deal with these GLORIOUS issues before.
Although this may sound like a tad boast, the questions are real, appreciate opinions.
You guys are the best, Thanks!
Cheers!

WOW plants grew so fast man. they are higher than the fence in 10 days that's awesome :bravo:

If you are keen to control the height you still have time to do some things. I may suggest tie down the plant to one side as horizontal as you feel confortable with and then put a screen on top (like chicken wire or any other screen) that would slow them down considerably with out hurting the plants, basically bend the plant and do a scrog.
:passitleft:

Yeah, you want to do any bending and squeezing before too much longer. The nights are getting longer and within a month or so they will be transitioning to flower and by then you don't want to be doing anything to stress them out.
