Bluter's Happy Home For Hilarious Hempsters

To be clear, I meant one plant three to four feet high (with topping and training) per pot !

What is not clear is how big a pot ? Is 5 gallons excessive ?

i'm currently running 5 plants in 5L pots that will finish at about 3 - 4 1/2 ft high or more each.

there's no reason to run a bigger pot. the idea behind hempy is macro result from micro approach.

for comparison on bucket size to use these are all 2L hempys from this thread, they finished a bit over 3 ft.

the original hempy was designed to be used with the large pop bottles as pots. you just cut the tops off, drilled a hole, and covered the sides for light blocking.

Very Nice !

How often were you watering ?

Cheers

standard hempy 3-2-1 schedule.

seedling to mid veg - every 3rd day
mid veg to early flower - every 2nd day
mid flower to chop - every day

bonus info : on salt based bottle nutes run a f/f/w. on MC run f/f/f.

Hmm. I have an unopened bag of perlite here...
I think I might run an experimental hempy this winter. I don't have a ph pen, but I do use MC.

a pile of folk run without ph. don't necessarily recommend but have seen it work just fine. i follow hydro rules at 5.8 ph.

Got some weight in there bro. Looks awesome.
:passitleft:

2L doesn't seem like enough "weight" to keep the plant from falling over ?

i won't lie, that can be a problem. i went to 5L buckets, and run cages with a lazy ubt style now to counteract the tippiness lol.

some folk will build frames to set the smaller hempy buckets inside so they don't fall.

some of the lower fans not getting full light are giving out.

it won't matter so much as everything below that first hoop is getting cleared out in a lollypop soon. i still need to keep eyes on it to ensure it doesn't head further up. it could point to a nute issue if it scales up.

bud set is just starting.

i'll get some natural colour pics when i do next feed or at final defol.

nute is still running hot, i've pretty much switched to feeding by gram and going by read, but the corresponding ec is crazy high. if i go by read they look ok but close to hungry. i've dropped the extra calmag for now.

Your plant looks fantastic.

i should ask @Emilya Green if it's possible, or why i seem to be getting away with it, to run hot without the plants tipping or burning to a crisp. this grow has been really odd so far.

i'm just waiting for the day i open the grow room up to see a pile of crispy plants lol :cheesygrinsmiley:

couple looks from the other day

still green and happy. i'm gonna have to get back into my notes and check what sort of levels i ran for BE with the nute. they are just about at the ask for more pk, i'd like to get a little ahead.

everything runs so hot that i'm a bit leary of jumping in with the booster. running by ec makes the plants look hungry, running by gram/L makes the ec hot as the surface of the sun. on previous runs it would co-relate much closer.

i'm seeing signs of the plant scavenging lower leaves and have let it go. it's probably more due to insufficient light penetration than a nute issue. i'll be clearing most of that area out soon anyway.

a look at the lower fade

i been holding off on defol as they haven't been over thick on leaves this run. i'm ok with letting them eat a few before i take that resource away. there's a couple small interior branches i should pull as well, mostly as larf management, and i'd like to direct some more at the main stuff.

i'm rolling on 11g MC in 8L RO for the last feed and the next one today. probably adjusting for the next. i dropped the calmag altogether but can sub it back in if stuff gets nervy lol.
