your plants look good. been sneaking a look every once in a while.
i really like the beef/pork/rice ones in tomato sauce. lots of folk here make the fermented sour cabbage rolls with straight rice (ugh), or rice pork ( passable depending ). there are a lot of different influences. there are dozens of different perogies too.

it's gotta have both beef and pork tho. lotsa times folk here make them with just ground beef which is ok but not as good.

no actually not. just the standard fare where i grew up. i'm french and irish actually. maybe a bit of metis, super super old canadian family. roots to cartier.
now vg is just gonna get mad jealous at us lol

both branches of the family came west a couple generations ago. both of my grandfathers farmed. lots of stories about bootlegging and smuggling stuff to the states lol

my grandma had an insanely old pic of my grandpa by a border marker on horseback. they were smuggling something. showed it to me as youngish kid, probably not thinking i'd make the connection. she was just showing me grandpa on a horse lol.
my other grandpa spoke a mishmash of french and metis. my dad learned english at school and spoke gawd knows what at home.

guess i'm having sweet and sour chicken balls as well. neighbours came by with a news years gift. lol
gave them a bottle of proseco. was going to give it to them at christmas and forgot. worked out good. snack while i feed the plants.
i gave them a jar of canna pain cream too a while ago they really like. they dunno the active ingredient tho lol

they are ok. at least i hope so. i tried to explain what it consisted of, and they were sort of mystified by the idea of something in a cream. they kept using the word natural. the term i thought was --- denial ? i don't smoke it / i don't get high / it's not a drug..
anyway they work hard, have the sore muscles, and like the stuff.
it's got added essential oils and is not for ingestion. makes it easier to accept i think. doesn't smell weedy.
edit : i should add they seem to have no problem with the funky smells coming from my place lol

yeah they are nice folk.
i get a bit of a by cause i sort of take care of the place. keep the walks and driveways clear, keep the furnace going, mop out the laundry room. that crap.
i'm not really the caretaker. there really isn't one. as a result i kind of do what i want. within reason lol.
the other tenants and the landlord just kind of got comfy with it.

very much so. even got a thermostat installed in my space. control the heat for the whole place lol
