Bluter's Happy Home For Hilarious Hempsters

I'm getting ready to top at least 2, if not all of mine for the first time later today to start their quadline. I'm also thinking about taking them to 8 instead of 4 tops, but we'll see.

Going to quadline them (unless I go to 8, which would be an octoline?) and then scrog the branches a bit for support.

i haven't cut back any of the branching yet. not everyone is going to make it to flower, and i want clones.
my quads are a total mess too. this is my first try, and hempy may not be the friendliest media ..only 2 or 3 out of seven are actual quads at this point....

the other was a mutant out of the box... but i'm training her too ... :cheesygrinsmiley:

hempys a la day. they have decided to keep growing. it amazes me how quick they all turn and run solid for the light after cranking down the ties.

still only have the mains trained, everyone else is wild. have to decide if i should get in for a trim and defol. in know there is other trimming in regular quadlining, but nothing about this training is by the book so far.... :p

the weird tangie has sort of straightened out. kinda forced it to untangle a bit with the restraints and a little judicious topping.

she's still exhibiting all sorts of different genetic oddities.. got it to a point where i can see it producing at least something, so am happy i kept it. really wanted to see what it would do, and super curious what it will look like in flower.

finally got temps settled now that the cold has settled in. unfortunately it dries right up when that happens.

i don't actively correct for rh, and just grow through what i'm given. check the logs lol ... :cheesygrinsmiley:
room's been through a bit... i should pull the battery to zero the logs. looks worse than it is.

stunty is growing along. and still stunty. she threw a major lower side node early that i didn't catch. if i'd caught it early i could have trained to exploit it. i left it thinking i could use it but it just fought for dominance over the main, so snipped.
that didn't help stunty jump up.

there's just a touch of nute tipping starting on some older fans. almost reminds me of where @Emilya likes them.
holding at 6.5g / 4.5L ro. call it 5.5g / gal after conversion. gonna monitor close and may back off a few tenths. they'll probably just grow into it though judging by the tops.

without the labels it's impossible to tell the difference between the other lsd and the northern lights. the NL are a bit bigger though. all are super healthy. have heard the NL are good producers.

that's our daily hempys. thanks for tuning in.. :)

Things are looking great. Are we having fun yet?

I'd consider it, maybe even actually do it :). No reason not to have a nice even canopy!

they are keeping me a bit busier than my earlier hempy grows. not working sunday and may take most of the day for some trimming and getting the taller secondary branches trained.

just checked them ... it's feeding day and they've chewed through the entire reserve. pots are feather light. every 2nd day... :cheesygrinsmiley:
they really like the MC. holding at 6.5g / 4.5L ro on this feed. watching the tipping close.

dropping a shot for the happy hempsters

sweet green sundays to all... :bongrip:

Wow! They have gotten big since 3 days ago.

they are the smallest 2L hempys i ever grew .. and flattest... :cheesygrinsmiley:
canopy is at 24 inches from the light. it hasn't changed for 2 wks lol.... normally would have dropped the floor (raise light) at least twice to three times more than i have on this grow

Once you've quad'd them, you have neutered the height they will reach in normal vegetation time. You will find these much lower than anything you've done.

definitely. there is far more root mass to plant size than anything i ever grew.
have 5L hempy pots available and on the fence about up pot. was shooting for a quicker 2L grow. am thinking about possible root bound and rot as a result. so far so good.

i am hoping a couple to three more weeks in veg and then flip is a decent target.

Looking great in here Bluter :blunt: . Like to see what they will do in the 5L pots. Im using 2L also and usually end up getting around an Oz per plant of finished product, i dont veg the sativas very long though due to stretch concerns.:passitleft:

got a little active with the gals.. they started a diet regimen to open up the bottom, and get stuff out of the way of the branching..

i didn't take a bunch and was happy with how fast they rebounded. am doing a little bit at a go.
can see the structure much better now. letting the secondary branches grow out a bit before training.

there might not be much room, but most of what is there has been sorting itself pretty decent in the last 24 hrs.
keeping a few things around right now as possible clones. will be clearing out a few branches as well.

i even trimmed up and tied down the tangie mutie further. opened it more and puts it about par with the others. it was a bit ahead. its structured more as a clone since i first topped and tied the original branches down.

showing all kinds of little mutations

it's a real head of lettuce. a thousand tiny branches trapped under big fan leaves. cool looking leaf tho.
shot from above..

quite a shrubbery. could be thinned just a tad more. holding for now.
the northern lights are also super leafy. would never know they got a trim looking at the top.

happy with the plants and the defol. doing it in stages as needed. nothing drastic.

continuing at 6.5g MC / 4.5L ro. 5.5g/ gal equivalent. nothing else.
still ph'd to 5.8(ish). ph is real touchy. drop or two moves the bucket a long ways.

1050ppm which seems steep. the plants are loving it and i'm still feeding mostly by read. the minor nute tipping i had backed off as well on the newer stuff. no plans to increase for now.

few more days and i'll start tying up some of the smaller stuff.

Looking super crisp. :thumb:

i didnt know you were using MC. Plants look very happy with it. Gonna have to bust the ph meter. Havent used it for years :). Thanks for your help man.

lotsa MC growers ditch the ph. and / or the RO. it all depends on water conditions.
i kept both as hempy is a hydro rules type of grow, and i decided to keep within those limits. GLN itself suggests doing so on their website.
