Bluter's Happy Home For Hilarious Hempsters

Thanks Bluter! :high-five:

Although I have not journaled my hempy experiments on 420 (my sig does not represent my efforts to refine my understanding of the method), I am happy to share what I know.

Buck, among many others at the Headquarters, is most certainly a terrific resource on the practicalities of the hempy.
:passitleft:

get one going. you have such beautiful plants.

Thanks! :Namaste:

Going to start an outdoor grow in March (we go to the Caribbean for February). Think I’ll do some Autos this year. Have a DP Blueberry, a Jack Herer, a White Widow, and some selfed Kryptonite seeds to try.
:yummy: I will be doing a journal then.

my exposure to hempy started at headquarters as well. drop a linky to your journal right here, and at the mc thread .. think you are using mc ?

well at it.. here is today's hempy before feeding

they rebounded great. i made sure to keep the funky leaf on the mutie
gots to get going lol... irish coffee and black indica in front of the interweb box isn't doing the work for me lol

Usually moderators don't like links to other forums. Capulator started a forum awhile ago and I parked there so to speak.

Your space is filling in nicely. Looks like its going to be a nice yield on this run.

aaaah ... sorry thought it was internal. mis-read oops...

if not stepping on toes you should add one here if you can garner the time.. know what it's like juggling different forums. was / am a gearhead as well and belong to multiple auto forums.

i have another space for flower. 1/3 larger than the veg space, just a touch more. they have room to explode in flower.

Your chicas are looking muy bonita! When are you going 12/12?

wk to 2 i am thinking. roots haven't locked up the top of the perlite yet lol... :cheesygrinsmiley:
i am generally root bound total in those little 2L buckets all through flower.

waiting to see if any branching is gonna be decent enough for cloning. i usually take them right before flip. these are kinda tiny even for 2L for me. the middles need a clearing in a bit.

morning hempys...

they got a feed and a quick snug up on the ties.
could have gone a touch deeper on the defol. the interior of everything is gonna have to get cleaned out at some point. i'll look at what is there for clones in a wk or so.

still sitting on 5.5g / gal RO. nothing other than MC. zero. ph'd to 5.8 (ish)
everybody still getting 750ml / 26 oz every second day.

:)

beautiful,, indeed,, :thumb:

i still so appreciate the assistance from you and your journal at getting my grow on track. the information you provided on ferting the younguns has helped me immensely. my babes are growing from seed to transplant,, without the usual two week vacation they seemed to be taking on me before.

mega crop is working just fine for me and i see the usual signs on my plants telling me that i am not feeding enough,, and i kinda even understand it now,, ha,, cheers to ya friend,,

thanks again,, will take some pics at some point today and give you a look

cheers again friend,,

:thanks:

here's the jan 22nd hempy gals...

everyone growing quickly to flip day now. the centers have jungled right up. probably have to clear a bunch of branching out in order to favour the ones who will produce.

When I get some time, I need to go back in this journal....I believe I picked middle right as the superior pheno.

i keep rotating them through the space. their positions change all the time.

jan 24 hempy situation going strong

they got a late feed yesterday and were super droopy and grumpy with me lol.. :p

by the time i feed every second day they are feather light and spaghetti western dry. i feed by formula so the amount they get ensures a 10 - 15 % run off from bone dry. i could probably feed everyday once i get in flower, but i like them to go through the dry cycle.

shift work means they get fed either early in the day, or late. depending on the cycle, they really notice the 8 - 12 hrs extra wait when they get fed late. a couple wks ago they would have barely noticed, now they are big enough to care.

if i veg them much longer i'll have to drop the floor. i try maintain 18 - 24 inches from the light rig, i judge by the braces on the wall. makes it easy.

have never had the extra legs on the shelves for so long. they look large compared to the bucket size, but they are real tiny. some of the smallest ones i ever grew....

took this last night to show plant size. they are about wk 4 veg and i'm probably flipping in a wk - 10 days or so.
kicking myself for not going the 5L pots.

jan 27 state of the hempys...

opened the door this morning and sure they spoke to me. certain they said : look, flip already .. got it ! ??

they've gotten big enough that i need to clean them up. gonna trim them out today and drop the floor for more head room. stunty and one of the northern lights aren't quite at the canopy, but everyone else could use the drop. i need the trim to open them for light penetration. although that won't be an issue in a couple days... :laughtwo:

the strange tangie almost looks normal now... almost...

completely bushy kushy indica. wouldn't know for sure it was a mutie without the leaf discoloration and a closer look at the structure. it sort of untwisted itself with the training and topping. was gonna drop it from the menu, but have decided there's a clone or two in there to give a shake.

hate cutting in to these types of plants. have an aversion to ridding them of perfectly good fans. it's kind of a requirement on this type of grow, i can understand how it opens them up. if i had been doing this better, the quads would have fewer branches at this point, and the growth branches would have been more targeted.

and more of them would actually be quads .... :cheesygrinsmiley:

two of the northern lights and one of the lsd look encouraging

everyone is at max 2L hempy. these are getting moved in the next 12 to 48hrs depending on circumstance though. there are some non-grow related troubles at the jungle room location. will probably veg for a two to 4 day cycle for trim recovery under lightzilla once moved, then take clones and flip.

my encouraged lsd....

the canopy has kind of two stages... gonna try take the upper fans blocking the lower branches out, and trim the lower part down for a bit better penetration. there's gonna be a wk 3 defol after flip as well.

will take a few pics of today's carnage as i go... :bongrip:
