Cool!
My brother was in a band. Used to get AAA at the gigs (even Glastonbury once!)
generally the production crew are the guys to bring it. some of our clients would call ahead and make requests lol
the guys i work with literally demand that i'm "on the meds" when doing a show
Sound guys didn't care - “you reckon you want the vocals up a bit and more to the bass player?” OK,” <shrug>
it pays to be a bit laid back but professional. most band members aren't prima donnas, but they want to be presented in the best way and are naturally concerned about that.
i've met more "stars" than i can count. i don't normally recognize them either, so have learned to treat everyone the same.
due to our size we mostly catch the talent at either the beginning or the back end of their careers. it's a completely different dynamic than when we work with them at the peak.
guys at the peak get worked like rented donkeys, there's a short window to build a career. when you are a good fit for their production, they'll remain solid with you forever.
both myself, and our 2 top sound techs have been called in to work someone else's rigs, just because the bands liked our work and attitude. those are the best shows. you get to do the fun stuff, and don't have to set up or tear down.
Light guys? Nah. Not during a show. Before cool to talk to and probably early days of IIP/LAN controlled lights back then.
More serious then the sound guys I reckon!
no not at all lol. as a group we're definitely known to be more active when running the show. it takes a lot of attention by all the prod pit crew to keep a show on the rails and rolling hard when it gets going. we don't like to chat outside the crew at those times.
you'd be gobsmacked by how many sound and lighting techs both test in the adhd spectrum.
so i bumped the levels and everyone got a feed today. i upped the amount of cal mag too. they are on full veg nutes plus a tiny bit more.
i'm on the old potato phone again so the pics are crap. managed to ditch both my camera and my new phone at the folks place the other day. finally figured out why no one is calling lol
they are doing better but i am concerned about the gelato. not everyone is in the shape i want for up pot.
both of the gelato have me on the ropes right now. they don't want to green in and they are chewing through calmag faster than i can add it.
this one is right on the edge but not tipping in to damage yet.
the other actually got damage but has bounced back.
the newer stuff coming in looks better than the other over all. both have me wondering. i haven't even got to up pot and i am approaching early flower feed levels, yet they look like they want more.
i'm hoping they get stable enough off this last feed to up pot.
the acapulco are almost opposite. they've greened in fantastic, and are likely feeling too much n compared to the gelato.
no calmag trouble or anything. there is decent lift but they are on the cusp of too much n, and are all leaning to an indica leaf.
of course one is stunty, and permanently droopy.
this thing has been behind and grumpy from seed. i've never seen it lift. i'm thinking it doesn't like how the the gelato have been pressing the nute levels, and it kinda seems like a plant with wet feet to me. it's an oddity in hempy, but it can happen, a bit like sips. i think this one will probably like the up pot to send out fresher roots in drier media.
