got to looking at the 3 bb gums today and decided they are done, so i spent the last 5 hrs choppin, pics in a bit,
also gonna put up some flowertent shots
i forgot to mention bob ended up at 2oz on the dot,i dont think using mh bulb in flower was a good idea,nugs are less dense more popcorn and im pretty sure less weight the bbgum should have been more, but you live ya learn the taste and effect factors still remain to be seen no worries!

I think you've found a sweet spot for vid/photo... there is one somewhere.

Maybe if you recap the things you wanted help with/comments on when the vid is ending, we can remember

Surf buddy~ yup thats what im hoping, my current plan is 1 vid every 1-2 weeks with better quality and planning and to learn my vid software for better production value.in between pics and text like a regular journal, so now on to plant stuff, i used the 600watt metal halide in the last 2 weeks of flower because i read that it can boost trich production and flavor,i didnt really see any extra trichs,flavor is yet untested,what i did notice was less density ,more light fluffy popcorn i really have not had the popcorn stuff since i started using the 600 hps till now! so even if they taste better i wont be using it again ,sorry i prefer my nuggetry solid dank n dense!! but one thought mh might be great used in the first couple weeks of flower to help alot with stretch and transition ,in therory anyway so im pretty disapointed in the last 4 plants im scared to see how much the bbgum shrivels up based on what i saw happen with bob,eh no worries smoke is smoke! but im very excited for the new batch in particular the bbgum and purple#1 former moms with what im seeing already with how long they vegged and were trained we are in for a beautiful and HEAVY harvest its early yet but im feeling a potm coming for purple#1 check out what this plant looks like in flower

that last post is of the first purple#1 i grew it hermied bad due to major light stress and temp swings from 100f to low 40s but a beauty all the same! you can see many more in the past journals and my gallery

mate all them plants look amazing, where did you get the purple from, im wanting to grow a purple, i have heard that all cannabis plants will turn purple if the night temps are cold enough, but if this is true then surely they would say in the seed banks that they all turn purple, im wondering if its true or not, but if i can get a purple to grow at normal temps then im wanting to give it a try, so any chance you can remember where you got it from and what strain it was, is it just purple #1, did you have the cool night time temps as well or was the temps ok, i wont have cool temps for another month or so, but if i have to wait then i have to wait

it is named "purple #1" from dutch passion seeds available thru our sponsor castle seeds heres the link donpaulp not all cannabis will turn purple, i have had many strains get totally cold down to near freezing, and most do not go purp they do get darker green and black if they freeze to death, this strain im growing will go purple regardless of temps, as you can see in the pics that grow averaged 65 to85f i am gonna get more of them myself as i love the smell and taste it does not really smell like cannabis ,its not super potent but the high is awesome and makes a great daytime / social/functioning type high this and blue cheese are my faves!

pay close attention to my journal and you will see the purple magic very soon as that mom flowers it starts in the first couple weeks i can see it already just didnt show up in the pics

its super fun to grow its like the fun of growing x10 not only do you get to see the buds develop but you get to see them change to a crazy color!!


so i have decided to scrog the flower tent girls the purple #1 mom was almost up to the light after 6 days in flower!(the light is as high as it goes) that 50%sativa is showing big time! its inspired by icemuds v-scrog mine is a little more u shaped and not as well built but i just used what i had laying around im in the process of eliminating some smaller clones and weaving the branches in/trimming below the screen i'll post pics or a vid when im done all new to me this scrogging but i think im gonna dig it

i have made a decision to flower out both tents, im gonna find a screen to fit the veg tent and maybe veg a bit longer to fill the screen then hit the flipswitch ! the reason is in 2-3 months i want to pop new cold wether seeds my blue mystic ,berry bomb,herijuana jack-33,purple power,and some of the crosses i have made theres quite a few, it should make for one hella harvest in oct, staggered over a few weeks but still have a nice headstash for spiffy and i, plus i have a tendency to over clone and end up throwing out perfectly good clones! and wasting cloning supplies this way i can take a break of sorts (just feeding flowering plants and watching for issues) and i get to start a full new batch next round

Hey Big Irish Dude!! just caught up with your journal man and wow... I can't believe how beautiful that purple strain is!! even the young one flowering is just amazing how it is bright green and dark purple right off the start of flowering..!! Definitely saw some PoTM photo's in there

Really liking the Scrog!! If you need any help with the v-scrog.. I am on my 3rd one and can lend some tips if needed I can't wait to see that tent just be covered in a carpet of nugs

Just a suggestion that helps maximize the sides... I found on the horizontal part of the screen the Scrog effect works best and I had a hard time the first 2 grows really getting the sides on the vertical parts to get that same effect. What I figured out to get the best effect on the sides was to let a branch grow up about 2 inches through the screen, and when you tuck it back down under the next bar on the screen, just tuck the tip enough so that it holds and doesnt pull out. Must importantly is that you get the very tip of the branch from the vertical position to a horizontal one... this is what causes the hormone disruption and causes axillary branching.. So the goal on the very sides of the grow would be to take that 2" part and bend it almost in the shape of a question mark and I noticed this will give the greatest results on the high vertical sides

Other than that, just make sure to defoliate around day 20 of flowering and then again around day 40... and in veg if needed.. this helps with more light to the buds and less chance of mold with the better airflow
