Hi @NickHardy and good morning. Hope your grow is going as you hope and yada yada. Yesterday I made a mistake in this forum, which is our forum, not my forum. I have decided after some reflection to correct that mistake here and now and also use this correction to help @rehabilitatora420 understand something I consider to be extremely important. But it begins with an apology to you. This I know is a completely unnecessary apology to you. As it would be for me if this were reversed. But as I said, it’s our thread, not just mine. And if I don’t start with this it invalidates the exact point I wish to convey. So that’s done, thanks, if you were a chick I’d marry you, and I will proceed with my correction.

@rehabilatora420, not putting you on the spot at all, I only tag you because this correction dips into our Basic Concepts, and this one is big. It looks like this:

One’s conduct on this site is just as important as the content one puts forth.

Obvious, right? Maybe. But I’m not new, and I forgot this yesterday and broke my own rule and contradicted my own philosophy.

My post yesterday regarding my desire that people come to me directly if they have an issue with me was stated in an inappropriate, overly aggressive, and selfish manner and upon reflection was unacceptable. I sincerely apologize to the 420 community and and anyone here who digested that post as written. I was frustrated at the time about non-related real life stuff, and peeved about the thing I talked about in that post.

I should have either let it go or addressed it in a different manner.

Here’s why it’s important:
For Nick - this thread is as much his as it is mine. Therefore it is not the place for my personal beefs. By posting one as I did, I made an ass of him a little as well as myself.
For you, Nickolai - things that seem obvious often are not, and that includes behavior on this forum. Rob has gone to great pains for a long time to keep this element of Facebook-esque bullshit out of this forum. It is one of the things that separates this forum from all others. When I post as I did I basically ignored that reality to get my anger yayas out. This is an asshole move. Simple as that.

Also Nickolai, this matters even more for this more for this reason: I have no idea who may be reading this journal. It is possible that there are people here who never post as much as an emoji but are following silently. It is further possible that these folks are new to the site. When I post like I did, do you think that helped a new person to the site feel that this site was the one for them? Do you think it was inviting or welcoming or had any value whatsoever to someone like that? I know that it did not because I remember being new here and how I reacted when I saw something of this nature in someone’s journal I was checking out. I went to another journal. It turned me off to that journal, and since I was new and had no reference point yet for much, it also turned me off a little to the site as a whole. And this last part is what makes what I did yesterday the most egregious and was the most anti 420Magazine thing I could have done.

The new grower and new arrival to the community is THE most important person in the room. Period. In Jon World, and I believe the world of any grower here who really understands the big picture, this is an immutable law. Yesterday I shat all over it.

If you assert the content I did yesterday in the manner I did, you are breaking every rule you believe in and therefore by definition your post is crap and you are a hypocrite.

For this I apologize. I don’t think it’s necessary to restate the thought in different language as the point was made despite its flaws as I just described and this is already long enough.

I need to be better than that, and imho we all do. It’s vital because you never know who may be watching, and without new people this site dies.

Thanks for the indulgence guys, I thought that was important and I always own my own shit. Now back to our regularly scheduled program.

I keep my reservoir at 19°c( with chiller)which is only 1 degree lower than yours i let pH swing from 5.8 -6.1 . And yes it still moves around.
My temp was 27 °c before chiller, it used to make me worry about root rot so I added a dash of bleech to 80ltr reservoir

Thank you @Absorber! That was a skin test cuz there are hardly any days like that now, but in general I’m measuring and so far I’m holding steady between 66 and 68 degrees.

My preferred acceptable ph range is similar: 5.5 to 6.0. So far I’ve drifted very little and that range has not been pushed in the least.

Bleach will help stave off root rot? Great, and awesome, but before I go dumping bleach in my reservoir would you mind being more specific? What’s a dash? And how is it applied, mixed with water and feed or by itself? And when added, I assume it’s diluted in water if not with feed, yes? At what dilution? Than you!!!

(L-R Orange) The Bubba Kush and OGK weren’t watered yeaterday. Showing a bit wet. Leaves look shit. Sometimes feels like the roots get in a bit of a tiz around now, they generally resolve on their own.m, they do look better today. Their last night under these lights. Tomorrow the Meijiu.

They’re being flushed now. 36 litres into 12 3L pots. 2ml/litre Cal Mag Plus 4-0-0 w/t Fe all served at a perfect 5.8

Yes it does its stopped me from getting root rot at 27°c water temps before chiller
I have a usable 80ltrs of water in my reservoir and I would add about1/4 - 1/3 of a cap of bleech to my reservoir and I'd make sure it was fully mixed before I let that water touch a plant

Bruce Banner #3

This morning the Bruce Banner #3 becomes the first plant to officially transition from veg to flower.

@rehabilitatora420 - please note the closeups in the following photos. This is what it looks like when your auto is now in flower. Every auto will show in this manner. Any random type pistils you may see before this point when they are just occasionally scattered here and there don’t count as flower. But when it starts to look like this on every top, you are most definitely now in flower and now this plant will begin her stretch. With autos, you must now change your nutes to flower nutes. Do not wait until the plant shows actual little buds to switch your nutes to flower, do it at this point, because she will want and need the new P and K boost for the stretch. Some do not do it this way and wait to change to flower nutes until they see little cotton balls forming. My experience tells me that deprives the plant of what it wants at the most critical time of the entire grow to give it all it needs and desires. There is no time when the plant will work harder or expend more energy than stretch time. The growth that will occur during the stretch far outpaces any other time in the lifecycle and requires the appropriate energy.

Here is the BB#3, and @Carmen Ray, this is the plant sitting dead center in the tent and in a 10 of coco using Prescription Blend nutes, soon to switch to Remo to finish. As you can see she dominates the space already and now my skills will be tested for sure as this tent for most is already way overgrown. Maybe for me too, we will see together if I have the skills I believe I have or not. Now the show for the auto side really begins.
