300W LED 2x4x5 Tent Soil Grow

Thanks norcal i see what you are saying.. i think im gonna move the smaller ones directly under the light more and try to put the bigger one off the side. Since i have been keeping the bigger one directly under the light more. I swear thr smaller two are frosting up just the slightest but i look at them so many times a day i could be starting to see things lol

Ugh i feel like a horrible parent who let their child go face first down a slide.. i was trying to bend over the top of the largest bud site cause its an inch higher then the rest and grows a half inch every damn day. Well needless to say i got carried away and broke that sucker good, damnit!

So frustrated with myself i should have just left it alone but my ocd wouldnt let it go. Oh well the damage is done, it was still held together by the skin on one side of the stem and had some fibers attached too. So i taped it together lol its holding up but i will watch for signs of damage or stress, not sure whats gonna happen since its the biggest bud site. Really interested in seeing if(and hoping) it survives.

I damn near have to beat it into Miss J to not jump and pick every leave that isn't perfect... She's another that can't leave well enough alone... And she's a bull in a china shop.. She'll break 5 branches to pick one slightly yellow leaf.. I had to thro her out of the floweroom because of.. Outdoors,, I let her go crazy.. She once was told,, before I ever met her,, to induce flower, you have to pick the leafs.. Well the little sticks she was trying all died... Looks like you didn't hurt her bad.. Alittle bandaid and send her off to grow.. Keepem Green

I definitely have my careless bad days, yea she wouldnt be allowed in the flower room then lol little sticks of a plant haha good one. I need to keep being patient and not worry so much, just send them off to grow like you said.

But i am in sort of in a funk right now and dont care about much of anything, not that i normally do anyways. My wife and i arent doing well and i feel lost at the moment. Perfect time to have started growing though, if we go our seperate ways at least i have something new and exciting in my life now. Feels like its all i have left at the moment..

Sitting here looking at how much nutes i give per gal, ive always done 1/2 strength maybe a little more with some nutes but only like 0.5 ml more per gal. When i try to give them more then 1/2 strength they definitely dont like it and get some nasty results.

I feel like i have my nutes where they need them and that is great. Wondering if i still need to back off a little but the ladies will let me know. I feel like the ff soil feeding schedule chart is more for autos then photos, how the hell do you only have 4 weeks of veg time lol you need at least 6-8 weeks depending on the strain probably.. it also basically says to give them nutes until you harvest and im not that dumb lol

Thanks man.. using viparspectra brand, its pretty good so far but its looking like the plants like the light around 12-15" away now that they are in flower. So that only gives me a good 1x1 or so footprint of light, my biggest buds will only be right under the light im guessing. Not the brands fault though there just isnt enough light for the space.

Thats why my the next light im getting is gonna be the par600 plus.. the dimmable features look fun to play with lol

I was looking at the vipar's as well, in fact I almost bought the light you're talking about. But I stumbled on to a good deal for a different brand 600watt for under a c note. I just couldn't pass it up. Look around I found a 1200 watt unit for less than the Vipar 600. The zon is full of Mars Hydro and others as well.

Pretty much going through the same thing here with my significant other. Sad to say, but I think we are only together for the convenience. Ever wonder why I spend so much time in the grow? :peace:

I feel that way about my wife sometimes too. I find that we all need a break from each other once in a while. Many times that easier said than done. Send her on a vacation, that way you don't have to abandon the plants...

Hey guys. Love the journal so far. Looking at setting up my own first grow right now. Any reason you would go for the par600 over say the reflector series 900. Have a 48/48/79 tent fan filter. Going to try coir and peralite and compost this year for my own soil for next year. I ordered some quality seeds but cannot decide on a light for the life of me. I waiver between getting two reflector 600 or a 900 and two single cobs for fill in. Any advice you have would be great I'm driving myself nuts. Now to top it all off I see these par series. Focused in on the Vipar since it seems to offer a good watt/dollar value.

imtoasted....when you supercrop a branch, twirl the stem between your thumb & index finger until it gets soft, you'll hear some crunching, then go ahead & bend it. Good idea to also hold on with other hand at the bend point for support & tactile info if it starts to snap. Get some first aid tape, the white thin stuff to repair any breaks. First aid tape is thin & breathes a bit plus it stretches & will give as the branch heals & grows fatter. Breakage happens to everyone but never feels good at the time. :Namaste:

Thanks for the advice guys, i knew i wasnt the only one going through this.. maybe ill just start sleeping on the couch and stay up and play videogames all night like i used to, i did just get a ps4 recently lol probably wouldnt be the best thing to do. Sending her on a vacation sounds like a great idea though and she has a friend that lives a ways away, that would be perfect!

I dont need that much light i just want to grow two plants at a time for more control from now on, mostly cause of the size of my tent. 280w out of the wall sounds more then enough for two plants plus im itching to play with the dim feature. Turn up the blue and white and keep the red very low in veg as if it were spring or summer then while you transition to flower introduce the red more until fully turned up. All while turning the blue light down then towards the end of the grow turn the white light down to mimic the end of the season like the reds and oranges of autumn lighting. Sounded so legit when i was reading about it cant wait to try it all out!

Awesome thank you so much for that info my man, perfect explanation.. no more breaking branches from now on haha ive been using electrical tape if you can tell.. that is so smart dude i didnt think of that thanks again man! You guys are awesome!!

Toasted just went the brew and grow and picked up nutes GENERAL ORGANICS GO BOX. I will check it out everything in a box for $50.00 and new mars 300 on the way.
happy growing

Well what is more complicated using synthetics or organics? Ive been reading about how ppm levels are important with synthetics and ff labels the ppms for each week on their chart which is awesome. Looks like next grow i will have something else to keep track of. This time i wont worry much about it since its been so long already. Wishing i didnt ignore it until now but hopefully it wont effect the buddage too much

From what I understand is using synthetics works faster than organics? But if you start with good soil less is more I think. Nute co. are in a buiness to sell thier products so they say to use more than you need just my thinking. But what do I know.

Ive been studying up on LEDs for a couple weeks now. Therez a lot of info out there. Ive read that 3-5 watt LEDs are the best. Read that COB's are over hyped because no rec light just white. Just tons of info. Sorry i cant tell you one way or the other. Ive heard the cheep leds do great too. Its a quandry... you want a main light and two side lights?

Not really sure as this will be my first. Feel like 1200 should be a good amount of light to grow 5 plants in there. Just not sure if one continuous light is better than two 600. 1200 will have a bit more draw than the two 600 together. But I feel as though there is a lot of wasted overlap in the middle that could be eliminated with hanging two lights 6 inches apart. What do ya think?
