1st Time Grower Box Build - 1st Clones And New Grow - Maui Wowie - GDP - LA Kush

I found my microscope on amazon .... it was 20 bucks. Here's the one I got. It's deffinitely not the best. But, for 20 bucks it works exceptionally well.

Glad I could be of help. Now, if I could find a decent camera to take close ups with. I have a cheap digital camera that's like 6 or 7 years old. It takes good pics. But it doesn't have shit for Macro. Any time you try to get a good close up it blurs.

I hear you, using smartphone. There are plenty of apps that improve the focus a bit however there is no comparison to a nice camera. :nomo:

Unfortunately, phones with cameras embed all the info from your phone onto your pics. People can then look at the coding in your picture and figure out where you were when you took it, what kind of phone you have etc. You are better off using an typical digital cam and then transfer the photos to your computer.

There was a recent photo online somewhere .... It had a Burgerking employee with his foot in the food. He posted the pic as a joke. It took viewers 15 minutes to figure out which store he was actaully in when he took the pic and they notified his boss and he was fired on the spot.

Wasn't planning on doing much with my journal today. It's been a busy weekend. Lots of stuff going on. But, today I went down to check on things and was quite suprised by the amount of roots that my bubble clones are showing. I also noticed that every time I take a pic of my plants, I take the pic from the side view. I haven't really posted any pics of any top views. So, I took some pics of my ladies for ya too.

Day 12 Flowering ........

Here's the ladies

And here's the GDP .... Not sure where the Maui and LA Kush end and where the GDP begins. But it's in there in the middle somewhere.

Here's the roots I got on my clones. Half GDP and Half LA Kush .........

Not sure .... how many roots do I need before it's fairly safe to plant them into dirt?? I don't want to leave them so long they start to rot. Like the last batch.

I never really had any luck with cloning that way. But I believe you don't want the roots to get to long before you transplant to soil.

For me personally if I were growing in dirt I would try to pefect cloning in the RR, if I were doing Hempy or Hydro then my preference would be a bubble cloner or something along that line. That's just what I feel works best for my needs.

Looking good Mutt!
Just a suggestion, have you tried using an enzyme like Hygrozyme?
It will keep your roots nice and white and healthy.
Also that red lid on your aero cloner looks like it's allowing a lot of light to penetrate through, which could cause algae to grow quicker than if it were completely dark. Maybe make a reflective cover that lays over the lid to keep it nice and dark where the roots are. They'll produce faster this way too. The darker in there the better.

Really looking good on the clones. I say about 2x as much as they have now. depending on how big they are theyll need alot of roots. When I transplant I still mist a sandwich baggie and place it over the plant to keep humidity until the plant establish it self in the dirt.

That's what I had to do with Mini Me. It took a couple of weeks before it could live without the dome. I'll probably stick them in dirt when I get back from attending Subcool's School of Dank. I'll be back Sunday night. That gives them another week in the bubbler.

Who knows .... guess we'll find out on Monday.

OK .... so I was checking each and every rapid rooter and found two (GDP) that had roots visible around the outside of the cube. So, I got inpatient and decided to plant them. I also picked the two from the bubble cloner that had long roots. I planted them too. So, now I have 4 new plants in party cups. I'm sure that both the rapid rooters will root fine in the cups. But, one of the bubble clones had a break in the stalk. It had roots both above and below the break. But, not sure how well it will root in the party cups. I soaked the dirt really really heavily with plain water ...... twice. By the time I potted the clones, the dirt was good and wet, so it shouldn't suck all the moisture out of them.

If I can get 2 of each GDP, Maui and LA Kush to root in the dirt, then they should be just about ready to go into the big box right about the time I harvest that batch that is in there. Depending on how much yeild I get from these first three. I may end up putting six in the big box next time around. But, if the three I already have flowering provide a shit ton, then I may just run three plants again. It does keep it simple.
