Re: Xlr8's Hydroponic Adventures and Photos from the Garden - 2012

Oh! Man! X. That would have been so much fun. :high-five:
:amen: On Damn RS! Loony Bitch!

Good idea on trimming the leaves back. Hope it helps. :Namaste:

I hear you on the state of things, money wise. Glad your well stocked. Here's hopping you win, that would sure help.

Jo is not feeling good again. Can't take her to the Hospital....they are turning people away. Many of our hospitals have went broke and have closed. They are taking the worst cases to the other islands. Speaking of the economy. I fear all of us are heading to bad times. Like you said. What to do? :smokin2:

Nice pics Bud.

:thankyou: my friend! Oh damn - I was sure hoping to not hear Jo wasn't doing so well again. Shoot. It seemed like things had finally turned more positive for you both. Yikes! turning people away? That's ridiculous. What is happening to our country? I knew things were bad, but I think it's much worse than I'd even feared lately. I guess we just have to hang on the best we can. Sure hope Jo starts to feel better again.

Naph, no kidding, I was JUST thinking about you last night and hoped you were still around. I always enjoy seeing you around, and it's great that you stopped by. Thanks for the kind words my friend! X

:thankyou: Toker Joker

Oh man, they smell soooo good. The OG and Deadhead like supreme ganja with a hint of spearmint, and the Jack like lemons and cherrys in gummy worms. Quite spectacular!

Re: Xlr8's Hydroponic Adventures and Photos from the Garden - 2012

truely amazing, you can see each tricome standing up to attention, dont even need microscope, your plants look so healthy and looks like your gona have some nice sweet leaf as well, do you make hash or anything like that with the decent sweet leafs,
either way your plants are full of goodness,

Re: Xlr8's Hydroponic Adventures and Photos from the Garden - 2012

I was (haha AM) medicated and really into the idea of taking some pics tonight, just before lights on so that I could capture some shots in more natural light. So, I guess these are some bonus pics.

Even though they've yet to put on much bulk, they're frosting up crazily by the day. Every day I'm blown away by how much more coated they are becoming with tricomes.

On that note - check it out in the second JTR pic: the Jack the Ripper has so many huge trichomes on the bottom of her fan leaf stems that it feels like velcro when you rub them. No joke - on the fans! All 3 plants are just coated with trichomes on fans, stems, everywhere. I think Corey's nutes are the bees knees baby. No snowstorm ultra needed? Holy freakin' cow it smells like heaven in that tent!

Did I mention I'm medicated? :bong:

These were taken without HPS to get some truer colors - the flash really lit up the trichs:

Deadhead OG - check out the trichomes on the FANS:

Jack the Ripper - frosty goodness all over the place:

Okay, these next ones were after the HPS came on:

Just thought this one was interesting - sideview of one of the bud-leaves on the JTR:

Well, I haven't made hash before, but I'd like to. I do save the trim leaves, and usually end up using them to make cooking oil for brownies and cookies and edible goodies. Hash would be great though, and I may yet do that as soon as money issues are better - I want to buy a pollen press and some of those bubble bags.

Making dry ice hash is pretty easy. Just make sure you get a fine enough screen not to let the crap thru. :high-five:

:welldone:

They look great X. Now I'm going to have to add JTR to my list just off your descriptions alone. I think if it smokes as good as you have described the smell then it should be a winner.

Yeah, this thing smells amazing. Really unique plant, and some neat characteristics that I'm just not used to seeing in more Indica dominant plants. I wish there was a way to give you guys a whiff of this plant, it would bring a smile to anyones face - I guarantee it, it's that intersting and unique! I sure hope it's as good as it looks/smells so far.

By the way - have you heard Subcool's reasoning for calling it "Jack the Ripper"? He says he named it that because it is "absolutely KILLER weed!" I sure hope so!

got my vote for member of the month for all your helpful tips:thumb:
THEY LOOK GREATTT BTW
Thanks Deege - that's pretty darned cool, and I appreciate it. I know this sounds cliche and repetitive, but I really am honored just to be nominated and in the running. Outside of here, I'm going through some trying times in my life lately, so it feels good for other reasons, too.

Yea, I just called you a flo n grow jedi a moment ago in Smallz thread lol

Awww thanks! However, once things are set up, this is the easiest thing in the world to grow nice plants with - no jedi skills required. :thankyou:

Great lookin ladies X, hope all goes well through the last chop!!

Me too!! :) Thanks for the support TJ -- nice to have you following along. :high-five:

Hope you are able to get something going, but good to be thoughtful and safe. Let me know if there is ever anything I can do to answer any questions, etc. I don't mind at all. Oh, and when you do get something started, let me know if you decide to journal it - would enjoy following along. :goodluck:

Re: Xlr8's Hydroponic Adventures and Photos from the Garden - 2012

Re: Xlr8's Hydroponic Adventures and Photos from the Garden - 2012

Thought I'd take a couple of pics of some of the gals in veg. Remember the Chocolope seedling? Since I put her in a 1 gal. Smartpot, shes been focusing almost solely on root development, and she has roots all along the bottom of her pot already. Finally, the last few days she's starting to develop a little more up top -- she's still tiny, but healthy and happy and about to really start taking off:

Here is how the Deadhead OG clone (future mom?) is looking, she's been getting tied down and twisted around:

This is the Jack the Ripper clone (future mom?), she hasn't had any training yet:

I have to say, these plants that I've been vegging in coco coir are the healthiest, happiest looking vegging plants I've grown. In person the leaves on all of these plants shine - such a pretty green with a healthy look and feel to the leaves. It's been a lot of fun having these to dote on in addition to the flowering plants. :)

Re: Xlr8's Hydroponic Adventures and Photos from the Garden - 2012

The Jack-da-Ripper plant has above has the magic... Very nice... That coco-coir cover with hydrocorton base looks to be one of the most health-promoting combos out there...

Nice.
