Xlr8's "Flo N Gro" Hydro Multiple Strains 2011

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with pain X. I am sending positive energy your way my friend.

Thanks my friend, I'm sure thankful for those vibes! :high-five:

I actually used to be the same way about talking about my problems, for me the PTSD made it dangerous to bottle stuff up, so now I am pretty open about the wreck, there are things I choose not to talk about .. but that being said, it was my choice when and how I have opened up about my accident. So ultimately its your call what you tell anyone. Of course, I highly doubt anyone around here cares the cause of pain (besides curiosity) near as much as we just care about you and that you are taking care of yourself and getting the rest you need! we need to see if 420 will block you for a week lol, cept that would only punish the rest of us.

Grow Update October 7th - Day 15 Bloom:

A few new things to report:

  • Removed the hermie Skywalker - not sure why it hermied, as it sure looked happy and healthy.
  • Removed the smaller Lucy - she was problematic from the time she germed - never unhealthy per se', but always a runt and slightly underdeveloped. After pulling her, I noticed her roots also were pretty underdeveloped in relation to the other plants, too.
  • With a bit more space to work with, I started doing some late stage LST. It's difficult for me to do now, but I got a little done over a couple of days now.
  • Raised the lights to their max height - I'm currently about 19-20" above the canopy right now (need at least 18" approx, so I'm okay for the moment).
  • Staggered and spaced the Flo N Gro pots differently to adjust for the removed plants (this was a bitch - thank god for my wife!!!)

So, the 4 remaining Indicas: (1) each of Lucy, Skywalker, Lavender, and Magic Bud.

Chocolope is still kinda stalled vertically, but she's suddenly kicking out a bunch of new healthy looking roots - didn't see that coming. Hopefully this means she's ready to rebound and can still be salvaged. She better get going soon, but that seems like a healthy sign.

A few pics - the HPS "reds" in the pics were out of control, so I tried my best to adjust them. Yellowing on leaves is just the lights - they still look really healthy and green in person:

Last but not least, :thanks: to everybody for the well wishes and support regarding my health. I've been overwhelmed by the kindness, both here on the forums and through PM's I've received. It's so kind, but please don't feel like you need to do this. I will be okay (eventually!)

Sending Prayers from Arizona
Mr, and Mrs Bk

Hey there, BK!

I really appreciate the message you sent me the other day. It shows a lot about your character and kindness, and the generosity of it meant a lot to me.

Good luck getting me off of here. I need it for my mental well being! ;)

I'm glad you don't bottle things up - I agree that can be dangerous, and I've lost friends for similar reasons because they couldn't open up about it. Oh, and I hope your shoulder is feeling better. Thanks again, truly, to both you and Mrs Bk. :)

:Namaste:

Xl Plants are looking great-but how are you, sending pos vibes my friend.:Namaste:

Thanks buddy! Well, you and I have similar health issues - so I'm sure you can relate. I'm not dealing with life-threatening stuff right now, but an awful lot of disc, nerve, and joint pain. Not much isn't hurting recently, but I'm sick of letting it get the best of me, so onward and upward! I appreciate the kindness as always. :high-five:

They look fantastic brother! Sorry to hear about the herm, I sure wish I was there to help you out. Of course, I'd have broken out the ol' Mothership, with or without your consent, and let that Skywalker pollinate the lucy.....Just sayin;)

Haha! Thanks Quix. :)

Yeah, I thought of that actually, but that plant hermied a bit too easy for my liking. I'd be too afraid to continue on weak genetics and get progressively more hermies. They are a pain!

If I thought I'd unduly stressed it I probably would have found a way to save it, collected pollen and made some feminized seeds on a few branches. ;)

Im looking at those fat leaves and low stretch and Im going to predict some fat colas with a slight chance of fruit. Your plants are doing swell! Looks like your stretch wasnt too bad. Im definitely trying your approach when I switch!

Lol, yeah I thought about it after I posted that, and to cross a herm with a runt would sure make for a hit or miss cross. But I left the post cuz I still thought it was funny! Just the thought of a Lucy x Skywalker makes me drool though. You know I've been slightly obsessed with breeding lately. Hell I've even been reading about making seed with autos....Interesting stuff....

Hey looked back afew pages and see some pretty little girls. I also see you ain't feeling up to snuff. Playing in your garden is the best med's I think we all have. Ofcourse the by-product's are screaming. Take care of them girls and I'll bb looking for some startsing pic's of the flowering. Keepem Green

Haha - Thanks MB, but I think you jinxed me! ;)

I didn't check in on my plants at all this morning and I went to look in on them again tonight and a surprising amount of additional vertical growth. Both the Lavender and the Lucy grew 2-4" in about a day or so. It was shocking and immediately obvious how much they grew, especially the Lavender. I opened the tent and pretty much yelled out "Holy Sh*t!"

Did a little more training, and they're back to 18" below the lights again, but I sure hope they stop soon ('cept for the Chocolope). Having said that, I still thing the MH thing does help some - maybe I should have stuck with it longer, too.

Sure hope you're right about the fat colas! :)

Ohhh, now I see. I thought you originally meant crossing the Skywalker with the Lucy that I kept. Yeah, a hermie and a runt probably not the best match, but it would be fun to play around.

I've been wanting to play with making seeds too, and hoped the Magic Bud was male for that purpose. I'll definitely be doing something like that down the road, and want to eventually work at the breeding thing to the point of back-crossing, etc.

Hope you're having a great weekend! :thumb:

Looking good XL! I wish you all the best for the success of your next round of flowering and more importantly, your good health and happiness going forward!

I appreciate that buddy! :high-five:

I'm thinking there's a virus thing complicating how I feel. Everyone around me is complaining about feeling sick and achey, with a lot of my same recent symptoms. I think the fact that I'm still recovering from other health things just exacerbates it so much.

I'm stoked to be seeing buds forming - can't wait to see 'em fatten up! :cheer:
