Xlr8's "Flo N Gro" Hydro Multiple Strains 2011

I think you made the right choice XL even grow is always better than having out of control plants brother I'm anxious to see how your choco comes out :cheer:

Hi Crower -

Me too. ;)

Thanks for the support brother! :high-five:

I made a huge mistake the other day and left the Chocolope netpot bucket lid askew in the tent, and some of the roots were exposed to light for a while (hour or two). Those particular roots don't look as good, but the rest look really good. Overall the plant looks pretty good. I'm mad at myself for being a bonehead, though, and I hope it didn't cause any issues for me down the road... The Chocolope is probably the plant I'm most excited to try, as it's been a while since I've enjoyed any good Sativa bud.

Coming along nicely I see. Looks like a great setup for what you have growing in the alloted space. All I can say is don't let them get outta control. I have a SLH inside under a 100 watts by herself. She stretched ways too much and I ended up super cropping at least 8" on all the main tops. I'm doing them in the Eco grow unit. Drip ring type using {GH fert's. Supplemented with Fox Farm { Open Sesame, Beasty Blooms, and Cha Ching.]

I've done acouple in the past. I can see a good Scrog you might have there

Hey, XLR8! How's it going, Bro! I haven't been able to post the last few days, but have been admiring your grow from afar and it all looks great! :welldone:

I hope you're feeling well, my Brother in "Boneheadism", and keep up the great work!

Smart move on the topping XL! :thumb:

Mr. K's bonsais have made me far less tolerant of out of control mother plants than I use to be! :laughtwo:

I wish I could put all my vegging clones into suspended animation until March! :laughtwo:

Keep up the great work! Everything is looking really nice! :)

Hey buddy! Hope things are green as ever in your part of the world. I'd like to try a scrog someday. I'm itching to go to bloom, but I wanted to top the younger Sativa first. I'm sure I'll have a mess of a jungle in there. I really didn't want to keep that many. The Magic Bud could still end up being a male, too, which would make some space. :morenutes:

Hey X looking great!!:welldone: Hope you get to feeling better, and are up to keeping up with those unruly girls of yours!!

Thanks Quix! They're not too bad yet - tallest is still the Lucy (even after second topping) at about 8-9". I'm feeling a ton better tonight than I have for a while.

Thanks Mr. Krip - glad to hear that your plants weathered your absence pretty well. I had to laugh at your mention that you were almost disappointed they didn't miss you more. So true! I leave for a couple of days and they always look healthier than ever. Just leave 'em alone sometimes, and that can be the best. I still have to fight against over loving them. I'm not known for my patience. ;)

Welcome back fellow bonehead! :high-five:

:thanks:

I'm loving topping. Sqwheels and I call it going Lizzy Borden on them. ;)

I appreciate the kind words - great having you along my friend. :thumb:

Lizzy Borden! :laughtwo: HiYahh!! :goof:

Thanks XL! Your grow has been really entertaining to follow!

Regarding topping... I hear ya! Once you start topping and see the increased yields, it is hard to understand why some folks are still reluctant to do it!

Only time I don't top is if I want to compare a topped and untopped new strain just for scientific curiosity sake! :laughtwo: My two original BBK clones were a good example of that. :)

Lord have mercy, this thread is gonna end up being one of those epic, never-ending, sometimes out of control, 10,000+ post threads. I can see it already.

So, since we're way off topic already...should I try bonsai-ing the 5 clones in my 2' x 2' tent?

I agree....xlr8 just will not believe me! :thumb:

XL you'll be fine brother as for the roots can't you trim the roots in hydroponics? Its probably a stupid question but I'm still learning hydro anyways very excited to see the turn out on the choco and skywalker:bravo:

Haha. It's fun having it be pretty active, but a bit of work to keep up with and still hang out in everyone else's threads, sometimes. :yikes:

I love it though, truthfully. I feel pretty honored to have so many good growers hanging around and it's pretty comforting knowing there's a lot of brain power to help if something comes up. Oh, and having Blue Planet here is pretty darn cool, too. :)

The bonsai things seems pretty interesting if you are using them as moms and want to keep them short/manageable. I would give it a shot if I were to start cloning and keeping moms, which I could see myself doing someday. Right now, I like variety so much, that growing from seeds seems to fit me well.

Hope all is well for you Jozo - now to go see what you've been up to... That "Iron Chef" challenge thing sounds awesome. :thumb:

Xlr8 and OMM, both of your journals are growing so fast, I think they make up 1/2 of the traffic to the site. Great job to both of you!

Haha, I don't disagree completely OMM, it's been moving along, but still about 1/2 speed yours does. ;)

Not entirely sure I want to be responsible for that much site traffic. :yikes:

Pretty great company you just associated me with, and I appreciate the compliment Steve! :thanks:

Hey there Crower - thanks for your thoughts on that. I have trimmed roots before, and will if anything looks too out of whack. The roots look like they might be okay, and if I'm wrong I'll just do what you suggest. Yes, I'm super excited about the Chocolope especially. :yummy:

Guess it goes both ways xlr8....proud to be associated with you too. :high-five:
