Xlr8's "Flo N Gro" Hydro Multiple Strains 2011

Hey xlr8 ! :yummy:

Looks like toppers and fimers are coming out of the woodwork. I think many of us do it so regularly we forget to talk about it much......Great Journal my Friend. :thumb:

:thanks: OMM -

I'm just a little late to the topping party, but so far so good!

Grow Update - Sept 16

Veg day 20, day 31 from seed (Flo N Gro)
Veg day 13, Day 23 from seed (Chocolope)

Changed the reservoir for the Chocolope today, and bumped PPM's to about 650ppm. Bumped up nutrients in Flo N Gro to about 750ppm.

Don't have pictures of everything, but thought I'd show some examples of how well they're responding to they're topping. Everything is perky and green. :)

Chocolope (hasn't been topped)

Textbook plants. Its awesome to see all the different characteristics on all those plants. That topping didnt slow those bad girls down one bit.

Thanks MB!

They look great so far, but I realized they were a little under-nourished so I bumped it up a bit. I'll most likely bump it up again in a few days (in Flo N Gro) as they are taking off pretty good now. :)

Nice job, Bro! :bravo:

All the girls look fantastic and it's very cool to see the difference in all those topping methods. Skywalker #1 looks like a PERFECT UBT with those four nice main colas! Lucy & the others look great, too! :welldone:

Everything is looking great XL! :thumb:

Those Skywalker fanleaves are sure wide, and you can really see the impact of the topping job you did on SW #2! :)

I know it! They would have been more like the other Skywalker had I topped down one more node.

:thanks: GG!

Yes, Skywalker #1 is really doing great and does have 4 nice even tops coming up. I'm wondering if I should have waited a little longer on the Lavender and the Magic - Lucy #2 has been a weird mutant that I've struggled with keeping all along, but I've seen plants turn around during flowering, so we'll see...

Thanks for your help and the props Mr. Krip. You rock my friend! :high-five:

Oh hell yes brother!:high-five::goodjob: You've made yet another technique look easy!

GO SKYWALKER!!

Hi Quix!

haha! Better reserve your judgement there, besides, I chopped Lucy #2 too far down, and she'll probably only have 2 main colas. Oops! But, they are all looking nice and healthy at the moment at least. Thanks buddy, appreciate the support - as does my Skywalker(s)!

Plants looks great. The system is working marvelously. Interested to see how Chocolope turns out. Might have to grow that and time it for Valentine harvest. Instead of chocolate candy it'll be Chocolope nugs, with some pipe and a lighter, lol.

Thanks Twelve12 -

Love that idea, and my gal would probably love it too! You got me thinking Xmas... ;)

I think See's candy box will be perfect for this. Innocent grandma on the outside, granddaddy purps on the inside, haha. You're right Xmas is coming up need to make the naughty or nice list.

awesome plants XL, keep up the great work buddy!

Hey X!

I have a suggestion for you. Since the flo n gro has removable mesh pots, and youre using HID lighting, you should rotate and move the plants around from pot to pot from time to time. Give those ladies a little better light distribution. Just thought id share an idea!

Might sound funny, but my wife would really appreciate this idea! Candy box filled with a nice mix of buds in one of those flimsy plastic pre-molded candy containers inside the box -- maybe some different strains in the different candy slots. I think I'll try this next Valentines day.

Hi MB -

Absolutely great idea. I explored doing this today, but I realized this isn't something I can do on my own as the roots are exploding out the sides and bottom of the containers -- and they're pretty heavy already. I was surprised and impressed at how expansive the root development is.

I think I can do what you're saying if I can get my wife to help me - so I may look into this later tonight. Right now, they're just too heavy for me given my health and I don't want to set them on something that would cause root damage. I wish I had an extra right now to use as an aid in shuffling them around, but I don't.

I gave you +rep for the great idea. Thanks buddy! :thanks:
