Woodsman's Northern Light #5 Grow

Good skunk bud, ymmm. Makes me think of camping at Leavitt Peak in the High Sierras and smokin some good skunk weed and checking out the beautiful vistas. Or sitting on a granite outcrop overlooking a nice deep pool on the Stanislaus River and watching the trout rising in the water below. I'd be taking hits off my old corncob and just enjoying life!

Life really doesn't get any better than that. I live for moments like that.

One of the most beautiful places I have ever been was only once when I was a child. My dad drove us up into the White Cloud mountain range in spring. Hundreds of ice cold deep blue mountain lakes surrounded by the full majesty of the Rockies as you climb and then descend hundreds of switchbacks into a deep pine forest. That is one wild mountain range. Driving up and out of the tree line into alien work of grey shale. Would love to go there and sit up there in the thin air and spark one...I am sure one hit and you would be wasted. :yahoo:

That is one of my long term goals, is to get healthy enough to hike again even if I need a walking stick for balance.

:peace: brother, thank you for reminding me of some really good times I have had hiking and enjoying nature. :thanks:

good luck man I hope you can do it! Im all ABOUT getting active and physically fit. I've watched myself improve drastically over the last couple of years...and while I understand we've all got our issues and some aren't what we can regenerate from, I just say that I adopted this philosophy to "live life or die trying", and since that point I'm cycling up mountains, playing MATCHES of tennis (that's where BreakPoint comes from), swimming, canoeing, all sorts of activities. all that stuff is fun and not work, like goint to a gym, which requires motivation. But since I love cycling, it takes no motivation, I therefore do it out of want to do so... therefore I stick to it and see a difference. my resting heart rate is now down to 49 bpm from like 80 or so. Anyway, sorry I go off on tangents sometimes. point is I hope you can find a way to enjoy nature and hiking in a way that will pay you back with better help and lifelong longevity...

Hey brother, that sounds like a beautiful place that your Dad took you. How far is it from you and could ya drive it now? Just pull over and find somewhere to sit with a nice view and enjoy it!
Hey Woodsman it has been awhile. Your girls are looking mighty fine my friend. Some awesome buds are coming your way!

+ rep for using cfls and the 100 watt hid!:goodjob:

Thanks Jacob for the reps! Here's one for the little grower! Cheers!

Ahh I wish, the White Clouds are in the wild parts of Idaho, the area's most people don't even know Idaho has.

The below excerpt is from some webpage that shows the area. Some day I would love to be to hike there.

The Boulder-White Clouds roadless area apparently is the largest unprotected roadless area on the National Forests of the Western United States -- 450,000 acres.

I hope you can do just that High. My hiking is a walk to my car.:yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

He does a great job of keeping us informed.

And Hypo Hippy and other older growers
Thanks for the kind words 'brother'. Read over your 'hippy' thread and thought it was quite funny and even though I was just a tad young (born in '57) my older brothers were in the thick of it and at college at the time (late '60's). I experienced being a 'freak', though not in the States, but overseas in the early to mid 70's were they were just getting 'into it'

I love Idaho and lived there for a year. You are correct about the remoteness and beauty of most of the State.

After a long winter, I'm in the same boat as you. I need to 'work out' a little (a lot).

I'm only 38, am I even old enough to be on this thread.
Just kidding guys.

I'll trade you, I'm 52 and I'm willing to take your 38 anytime! I was 38 when I finally got married so if I was 38 again I may do something different this time!
I don't know if there is an age limit here. I think there is a height limit but it's pretty lenient. You have to be bigger than your pot plant or we get too envious.

That wouldn't be fair to some outdoor growers!

Spent this morning with my coffee and some Blue Dream reading this journal...nice grow Woodsman!! I love NL - especially as a cross.

I've never grown myself, and recently thought about it, but it's just too damn easy to get high quality cannabis in Northern Calif. that I can't justify the time investment.

Keep showing the picts - you're an inspiration to those of us that have yet to try.

:peace:
Hey N-cal just wanted to say if you got the money, space, and a lil extra time it's a great way to pick up a hobby that pays off:thumb: growin was always somethin i wouldn't try cuz it wasn't worth my investment if i got caught now that it's 100% legal i can't get enough of it and when you smoke what you grew as some of the other fellas were sayin you are just elated with joy because in a sense you made that bud have life and become what you are smokin just my two cents enjoy some of mendicino and humbolt's finest for me:bongrip:oh and if you want to check out the ultimate low cost low space low energy plant set-up just check the cabinet plant on my journal link to my second grow :thumb: you will get no more than an eighter out of a plant this size but it's still free bud that you grew:peace::grinjoint:

Hell if it works, I'm going to buy an old tanning bed and use one half as a light in the last 2 weeks. Thats got to throw out tons of UV right? Could prolly pick up an old used one for pretty cheap.

Yo nic my buddy did this and fried a bunch of really nice plants he put one on both side walls of his grow and boy was he pissed the next day what a travesty I almost shed a tear myself for his plants all brown and burnt up so i guess the moral of that story is don't use a tanning bed to grow weed :thumb:

I'm only 21 so if theres an age limit then i've been breakin it for a while lol the older you get the more experience in wisdom you have and age is just a figment of time when it comes down to it
