Woodsman's Northern Light #5 Grow

So it's a mostly sativa influence?

From what I understand of it, yes. I don't know how well that will work out with my gardening zone. Sativas usually go later into the year and it gets mighty cold in these parts. Hope I don't have to chop early... if I even have to chop at all. Here's to wishful thinking.

That's what I like to hear. Have you grown it before? What was the yield like? I can't wait to put mine into the ground. Still too cold for a bit around here. I'm shooting for the first of May.

Hey, Woodsman, aren't you doing an outdoor grow this year or did I read that somewhere else? If you are, we'd all love to see the journal for that. I love those outdoor monsters. :yummy:

No it is the first time growing it for me. It was a really sickly clone when i got it, and is just now starting to veg well. It will be in my second round of flowering so should be pretty close in time with yours.

Best of luck with that. I'd be grateful to have a cut. I had to pop seeds for mine. I still have to worry and stress over the whole female male thing. I will collect some pollen if I end up with some males. Peace and love.

Update - Flower Day 23

Fed the girls today a mixture of FF Tiger Bloom, Alaska Fish Emulsion (for a shot of N) and molasses. This time I didn't check the pH (don't trust my meter). So for the first time in awhile, I fed my plants and did not have to correct anything afterwords! Amazing how simple life can be. Just hope they will be alright!

Well I did a little pinching here and there to lower the canopy of the big plant. The main cola and another just as tall got their stems pinched and bent over. Tied down several tops to spread everything out and give a little more light exposure to some of the smaller tops that were hanging out just under the main canopy. Did some of the same on the #4 plant (although not as drastic). She also needed to be spread out some. She is really going to be a miniature. Still lagging behind the others as far as bud growth and overall size. All three are definitely different phenoms and are growing as such. Fatleaf was just doing terrific, so nothing was needed for her.

No pics today, as the girls (except for Fatleaf) all look tortured and beaten up from our bondage session. Hopefully tomorrow I'll open the tent and they will be all standing up nice and straight and ready to have their photographs taken!

Now I'm ready to relax and 'pack one up'. Yesterdays work outside including, raking, shoveling and a bunch of other chores that needed doing after our thaw felt great at the time, but today, well I'm feeling it!

I use supercropping to great success and I see you are comfortable with it also. Good job!

You know when I grow 3 at a time I always get one runt, one medium and one monster. I happens to a lot of guys I know but no one seems to know why. We use different lighting systems, growing systems and nutrient and it still somehow ends up that way.

Ya when ya got to get that branch, over to that spot, then ya got to get that one over here etc...I figure, I got to be in control of the situation or these girls could grow right out of the tent! LOL I may have them tied in knots by the time their done!

My biggest was the oldest (first one to sprout) and was always the largest. as they grew into pots. I paced the big girl right under the 100wMH/HPS, while the other two went to the sides with the CFL's. Who knows, could be that?

:passitleft:

Funny you say that MC i Have one monster two mids and a runt with one strain and two mids with another strain my buddies all said this frequently happens to them so we must share the same anomaly haha

Hey CO, does that mean we're normal.LOL :hmmmm: :loopy::hmmmm: Or maybe not!

Just relaxing here and trying to concentrate!:Rasta:

Way to busy here dude. I looked back 4or5 pages and peeked at plants. That was 3 days ago. Look good dude. Hope to see a update soon. May all your gardens be green

I think we're normal haha you're funny woods i think if every plant had their own light maybe you would get the same vertical growth but its hard to constantly rotate the plants to get even amounts of light all the time without a light mover:reading420magazine: also some studies show that plants talk to each other through chemical communication so maybe the biggest is just the bully and gives verbal abuse to the rest to stay down haha:peace:
