Woodsman's Northern Light #5 Grow

Ya, we are all a little stressed out here in the house especially after a long cold and snowy winter. Being out of work is a major downer for us both, and having an uncertain future is not good either. I try to think positive knowing that with our efforts, something will happen soon.

I really try being patient with my wife (like the plants) I try to encourage her and she is receptive sometimes, while other times depression hits and it starts all over again. Soon it will be time for us to both get outside and do some work with the various gardens we have. My wife really gets into her gardening. I'll be out there doing the digging and turning of the earth (no tiller in this house - just me and a shovel)

Ya mine tell me they want something by looking like I do when I get up in the morning before I wash up! Except they don't get morning breath! They smell good!

In fact, all three are not odoriferous but when you rub their stems mmmm yummy! Each of them has their own unique smell!

I'm just sorry we didn't get a chance to see Lilbit as a mature adult!

Well I did :ganjamon:. And she was sexy. And now I get to see her naked...and drawn and quartered...:smokin:.

Yeah that is where I test their smell is right on the stem, near the cola...I am not a bud squeezer...except the one time and did I ever learn my lesson, this cola is soooo hard to break up now cuz I squashed it playing around...I do not recommend doing that to your buds...

Peace brother.

Hey, Woodsman. The smoke from my grow was for sure the best I've had in awhile. It was so good I forgot to finish my previous journal. It's long gone in the wind though so I'm really looking forward to this year. I managed to get ahold of some good genes for this season. No more bagseed for me!!! Peace and love.

Good to hear ya had a great result! What are you growing outdoors this season (strains)?

Hey Woods, :roorrip:man I am ripped. Wish I could share....:passitleft:.

Peace brother.

Hey bud, I'm smokin the stuff from SD right right now. Wife's getting a snack, were watching 'Winchester '73' with Jimmy Stewart. Ya I wish I could just reach over an get a hit of that stuff you got!:Rasta:

:passitleft: Thank you, I needed that. ;) :goodjob:

So where's the disclaimer? I know it would be great, you do have a way with words.

Winchester 73 is a good one. We all loved Jimmy, he just played himself and we all loved him. Always thought of him as a true American.:slide:

My heart goes out to you and your Mrs. Come spring and everyone's feeling better, surely there will be jobs opening up for you both. Nothing but good wishes for you both. :goodluck:

Hey, Woodsman. I'm going to grow some mystery strain of Headband I managed to get my hands onto this year. I've heard many great things about the Headband. I'm anxious to see them take off. I learned a WHOLE lot from my outdoor last year. They are on their third leaf set and they already smell somewhat skunky when you rub them. I wish I had a bad ass grow cab I could put them in and they would just time lapse before my eyes with a huge bud on top in 35-40 seconds. But then it would take all the fun out of my favorite hobby. Later, brother.

Ya I went back to see what you wrote and couldn't find it? Your threads like mine it just moves right along! Before you know it your 3 or 4 pages down the road. I'll have to go back farther I guess.

Ya we both love old westerns especially with Jimmy Stewart, John Wayne, Gary Cooper, Randolf Scott the newer ones with Robert Duval etc.

Everything will work out for us, time will tell. In the mean time the grow has been terrific therapy for me as I hope the outdoor veg and flower gardens will help my wife. We normally buy the 'flats' of flowers or vegetables (already little seedlings), but this year we may have to go the seed route. I told my wife that we could start them in my tent. That interested her! We'll see as my grow should end by the end of April, just in time for her to start (maybe a little late)

Ahh, morning :grinjoint:. Maybe putting a taste of hash in my first bowl of the day was a bad idea...but not ATM :smokin:.

:peace:

(Why oh Why do the Smilies move so much...;))

Wow man, that's hardcore, first thing in the morning with hash! I'd be yawning in a couple of hours!LOL

I just read up on Headband. sounds very interesting. Here's a link to a thread on 420 about it for anyone else (like me) that didn't know. Good luck with the grow Bud. New Super Strain - HeadBand

Thank you OldMedMan!

Wierdly enough was a great morning medicated, I got tons done. I transplanted 18 green pepper plants (garden) and cleaned up a bit and then made a nice Pizza.

Deep Dish Crust (on a pinch of corn meal so it don't stick)
1 pound Italian Sausage (mild my wife doesn't do hot foods).
1 tub sauteed Mushrooms in garlic/butter/small amount of onions/cream sauce. (Pepper to taste, I use a grinder with white/red and black pepper corns, adds a different flavor)
Topped with three cheeses (Mozzarella, Garlic Cheese and Colby) One pound each.
Crowned with a small amount of fine diced tomatoes.

Crust was oiled with Olive Oil and then garlic powder (fine dusting, I don't do much salt) and parsley.

Great thing is it makes three meals for me and my wife.

Me thinks being free of pain helped out my morning so hash was not a bad thing, but normally if I was doing nothing, I would do nothing really well. :grinjoint:

:peace: my friend.

Sounds delicious! I'm a big time pizza lover and when I lived in Chicago many years ago, pizza was on the menu very often (from the pizzeria). In fact one of the first jobs I had as a kid was making pizza (the old fashioned way, by throwing it). Now it's just an occasional frozen Digiorno pizza.

I am growing out a headband right now. Good medicine. Great daytime meds.

That's what I like to hear. Have you grown it before? What was the yield like? I can't wait to put mine into the ground. Still too cold for a bit around here. I'm shooting for the first of May.

Hey, Woodsman, aren't you doing an outdoor grow this year or did I read that somewhere else? If you are, we'd all love to see the journal for that. I love those outdoor monsters. :yummy:
