Lookin' lovely woodsman!! Can't wait for more pics!

Hey Blitty, thanks for stopping by. I'll take some pics and they will be up tomorrow. :reading420magazine:

My male plant showed signs at 4 weeks... How old are yours?

Ya mine are right about 4 weeks also. If what I'm seeing is true then I'm at this point 2/5 male. fingers crossed for the other three that as of last night, showing no sign at all. Check out my Update coming right up.

Update - Day 4 Flower

Well yesterday evening before the lights went off, I noticed that three of the plants (three largest) were starting to wilt. I am thinking that this is temp related. My temps at that time were at 96F! First thing I did was unscrew the 4 26w CFL's. The lights went out right after that anyway. The one fan that I use is timed at 24/7 already, but I did turn the fan on higher for the over night. Today I was able to buy a 4 inch fan at the local hardware store that I installed right into the existing ceiling exhaust vent opening. The plants all got a good watering and foliage spraying earlier with distilled water only. Honestly didn't think about the molasses till I was almost done. Finally I took a soil pH and got a good reading of 6.4. :smokin2:

As of now, all lights are on. By the time I closed up the tent, the wilted plants showed a little bit of improvement. With the new exhaust fan in place and the lights moved a little farther from the plants than they were before, I left them be for now. I'll do a check a little later to see how warm it is and if they are picking up. :bravo: :smokin2:

Update: hour and a half later
Quick look in the tent.. Temp is 82F and the plants are showing improvement. Not 100 percent yet , maybe 60 percent so adding the exhaust fan was a good thing. Lights go off in about an hour so I'll hold off till tomorrow morning before my next check.

Might take a couple of days. Stay patient. You done good on the rescue from the heat.

Thanks MC I was hoping you'd drop in. Does it sound like a heat issue to you? They were in need of water, but it was not at a critical state. The heat on the other hand was excessive and may have been a result of the new 4 x40w bulbs. In actuality they just replaced 4 x26w bulbs. Before the upgrade, I've had low 90 temps in there, but I turned the fan to med when that happened and the temps stabilized down to the upper 80's. Now with the addition of the small but hopefully effective 4" fan up top blowing out, I can keep the temps lower. 82f earlier before the lights went out.

Yes it sounds like a heat issue to me. Combine that with a lower humidity and it's tough on the plants. Like trying to grow them in the desert. I'm wondering if your 40 watts are vented. I have some 40's that aren't and they do put out some heat. You know I'm a hydro guy and anything in even the mid 80's would be tough to manage. The res temps would soar into about the mid 70's for sure and that would cause all kinds of problems. I imagine soil can take the heat much better.

I'll just have to wait patiently and see how they do.

Outdoors plant do fine as long as there is fresh air and water. . along with cooler nighttime temps

Update: Day 5 All the plants have recovered! No more wilting leaves and the temp was at what looks to be a steady 82 deg. Humidity was low at 20, but was in the low 40's yesterday soon after watering.

Unable at this latest check to look for sexing but will investigate fully, later on. I'll also take and then post some photos.

Glad to hear of your recovery. You are in flower now so humidity is not as important. Low 20's is dry but it's better than over 50 in flower. I like between 30 and 40 for flower but maybe lower is not a problem. Never been there.
:cheertwo:
Thanks MC for your support. Ya humidity will not be an issue that's for sure LOL. It does go up to 40's after a watering and then to the 20's by the next day. Pics later on today!

Sounds good Woodman! Nice to see you on target when your plants are uncomfortable and showing it! GREAT EYE!!

Thanks L1F for your kind words. Ya they looked awful the other day. Big improvement now with just some lower yellow and dangling leaves that I've plucked off. :smokin2:

Update and Photos - Flower day 5

Well all the plants are back to looking just fine! Always a relief when they recover from something. Temp was right at 82 deg and humidity at 20 so all is well. :bravo:

My search for sex has still come up empty, not sure, confused (like a teenager) etc etc.... absolutely no idea at this point what sex my plants are.... I actually like this time of growing! Anticipation for what the final results will be!

OK so here are some pics from just an hour ago.
