Woodsman's Northern Light #5 Grow

Update: Flowering (Day 1)
Woodsman's Northern Lights #5 Grow is officially in flower! It's 12/12 and the countdown to buds is on!

I will be answering to the wife tonight! I dropped her off with here friends and from there went right over to Lowes MJ Supply Store and went shopping.

I found the 65 watt CFL's that MC showed us earlier, but at just under $17 each, to steep for me. I found something that will be an improvement from what I had planned and wasn't so bad at just under $10 each. I got four 40w CFL's (rated equiv @ 150) and two more 26w CFL's to match the two I already have.

So my two CFL arrays (one array on either side of the 100w HPS) are set like this 40-26-26-40. Pics below.

The schedule called for a nute feed today. I didn't want to disappoint them. Gave them all a weak dose of everything, including: 1/4 strength dose of Fish Emulsion to give them a tiny shot of nitrogen (they were looking like 'where's my food')! 1/4 strength of my FF flowering nutes. I couldn't resist and gave them a very tiny dose of Molasses as a little treat! Less than two teaspoons per gal.

I took a pH reading with my cheap soil meter and got an after a nute feeding, soil pH of 6.3. After the last veg feeding I had a pH of 6.7 and 6.8

So a flowering we are! Come on girls!:cheer::popcorn::yahoo::tommy::theband::rocker:

:bong:

Wife just called, so I'm out for an hour to pick here up. See ya'll then.

congrats on starting flowering!:allgood::headbanger::passitleft::goof:

If i remember, the bloom change week by week with concentration of water?
And how much days before starting flower?

:welcome:Hey Super, not sure if I'm understanding your question? I'll try answering what I think your asking. Does my nute formula change during blooming? If that's what your asking, then yeas I start off with very weak doses and work my way up, but never to full dose levels. I alternate between feedings and watering with molasses (light dose) being part of both. I use distilled water only. I flush with a water and molasses tea for the last two watering sessions. Although on my last grow I started too early and ended up feeding and flushing again! If that wasn't your question, please ask again!:smokin:
congrats on starting flowering!:allgood::headbanger::passitleft::goof:
:cheer:Thank you Jbleez. We're 1/3 done with this grow and down hill from here! This is were it gets exciting.:cheer:
Gratz on getting the girls into 12/12, they are looking good bro.:yahoo:

I light the increase in lumens too, your babies will too!:bravo:

:peace: brother.
Mountain my Man:passitleft:
I can hear them singing from here. I hope that's all they're doing. There could be boys in there with them And we wouldn't know it for a few days yet! You know, they're bodies have filled out in all the right places.:allgood::tommy::headbanger: Something is bound to happen:grinjoint:

:cool:

:welcome: to the thread Love1Fear, glad to have ya here!
At this point the only smell from these vegging NL's is when I rub or touch the leaves (very mild). Otherwise no smell at all. This is a good thing as I've assured my wife many times that Northern Lights has a reputation for very little odor while growing. I would think that it is not the NL side of your cross, but the Blueberry side. I hope!
What are you planning on growing in your upcoming grow?:peace:

Well thats a great question I do have 20 more of these NL Blueberry seeds that I got with the 4 clones that I'm currently growing.

But I also have 10 seeds that I got from my last White Rhino grow after germinating a few bud sites on 1 plant (a great first time seed making success) the seeds where twice the size of the ones I received from nirvana and currently still are in there lil ziptop mini bag.
I am leaning toward the White Rhino just b/c of smell alone.

:welcome: Hey Love1, I'd love some of that NLxBlueberry for an outdoor grow.. that stuff must be killer on the brain. Is the White Rhino a non stinker normally? I'm always curious to add more to my list of wife friendly strains:passitleft:

I've had no smell issues with my White Rhino (Nirvana seeds) other then brushing against plants or smelling the plant up close. I have heard other people comment on there encounters of this strain but not a one ever said there seeds where from Nirvana. Its make a very pretty purple bud and is potent.

Well my wife has a nose like a police dog so I gotta be wary (at least for indoor):bong:

She knows you are growing right? :smokin: Just a sensitive nose? Cuz if I shut myself in with my girls it can be overwhelming even for me and my wife doesn't really like the smell in here, but I do...."breathes deep the smell of STONED":roorrip:.

This spearskunk smell is wierd....:smokin: (Sweet minty wet skunk...not really sure how to feel about it.)

Nirvana current price for White Rhino
28.71 US dollars for 10 unfeminised seeds or 35.81 for feminised
That is a very reasonable price,but are you sure about the feminized seeds? Maybe that's for 5 seeds not 10? Still pretty cheap!:cheer:

Spearskunk hah? Spearmint? Sounds great to me!

Well I am a day late and a dollar short. Congratulations on the switch! I saw that you added some more light. How many watts total you got going now? The girls look very nice. Ill be praying for females!

:grinjoint: Hey buddy, I just sat down after putting a chicken in the oven to roast and will be rolling one right after I answer you!

Thank for the grats on the flowering. It's coming up on 'peek a boo time', looking for the girls and boys. :passitleft: Last grow with the Mazar the plants were letting me know right after going 12/12. So first thing I do after raising the lights is go hunting for sex (just like when I was younger).

I've got a total of 284w. Looks like this:

Left Side......40w-26w-26w-40w all soft white
Center.... 100wHPS
Right Side....40w-26w-26w-40w all soft white

Not sure how many lumen though. :reading420magazine:
Edit update: 26000 total lumen, Make sense? I've got about 6 square feet of grow space so that's 4300+ lumen per sq ft. I don't know much about this stuff. Just breezed through a search of minimum requirements per sq ft and found two answers? 2000 lumen and 2500 lumen per sq ft. Is it safe to say that I have maybe twice the minimum requirement. Please tell me this is so.. I'd be a very happy grower.. I had pretty much just the 100w HPS last grow and that is about 9000 lumen (found on a search) at 6 sq ft of space that's only 1500 lumen per sq ft.
Now on to rolling :passitleft::passitleft:

Well damn bro. Your ladies really look good. Its gonna be awesome watching this one :popcorn: As far as your lumens go. You're doin good, trust me. Your ladies are gonna love every bit of it. And you can always add some more, but that should hold em down for atleast the first 3-4 weeks of bloom. All around great job bro :bravo:

Thanks Dro, HTL. Now to see how many girls I get. Dro I won't have a choice, these our my lights for the rest of the grow. Should be plenty of light for what I'm planning. I'll be doing an upper canopy grow or a SOG, so I should have enough.

Thanks for coming by guys.
Here have a ...:passitleft:

Yea.. Cannabis is a light whore tho, so towards the end of flower you might have to add a couple bulbs. but like i said you look straight for a while ;)

The only lights I have to use would be the daylights that I just took out. Is it possible to use a combination?
