Hi Super, I'm fine now as I've just heard good news about my Dads health.

The plants are doing terrific and are telling me to flower them! Quick! I'm trying to work it out with the wife about getting some more CFL's bulbs so I can start! We'll see.

Thanks Dro it's a major relief knowing that he's feeling much better. This is not the first time I've been anxious about my Dad, but it's always tough.

Update to come in minutes!:bravo::yahoo:

Update: Flowering (Day 1)
Woodsman's Northern Lights #5 Grow is officially in flower! It's 12/12 and the countdown to buds is on!

I will be answering to the wife tonight! I dropped her off with here friends and from there went right over to Lowes MJ Supply Store and went shopping.

I found the 65 watt CFL's that MC showed us earlier, but at just under $17 each, to steep for me. I found something that will be an improvement from what I had planned and wasn't so bad at just under $10 each. I got four 40w CFL's (rated equiv @ 150) and two more 26w CFL's to match the two I already have.

So my two CFL arrays (one array on either side of the 100w HPS) are set like this 40-26-26-40. Pics below.

The schedule called for a nute feed today. I didn't want to disappoint them. Gave them all a weak dose of everything, including: 1/4 strength dose of Fish Emulsion to give them a tiny shot of nitrogen (they were looking like 'where's my food')! 1/4 strength of my FF flowering nutes. I couldn't resist and gave them a very tiny dose of Molasses as a little treat! Less than two teaspoons per gal.

I took a pH reading with my cheap soil meter and got an after a nute feeding, soil pH of 6.3. After the last veg feeding I had a pH of 6.7 and 6.8

So a flowering we are! Come on girls!:cheertwo::popcorn::yahoo::tommy::theband::rocker:

Wife just called, so I'm out for an hour to pick here up. See ya'll then.

great to hear about your dad woody!:thumb:

Your girls look great....you are going to have a few bushes of bud there, looks like they are more than ready to bud and are going to get about 3 times as big...:bravo:

About those 65w cfls.... sorry to say you probably would have been better off getting one of those instead of two of the others...they are that much better....you can always pack them back up, return them and get the 65w...you wouldn't be sorry.,...either way, though, your girls don't look light starved...

Great job!

You'll be able to get those 40's a little closer to the plant to make up for the wattage difference. Forgot about the 100 watt HPS you have. You'll have plenty of light for your grow space. Look at how happy they are now! Remember they are going to jump up now and will likely double or better in vertical height in the next 2-3 weeks.

What color, specturm or K are your cfl's?

Thanks SK
I needed a wide footprint that the 4 bulbs 'side by side' gives me. If I just had one 65w alone on either side (which is about my $ limit), it wouldn't be covering enough canopy as four bulbs wide would. With the two 40's on the sides and the two 26's in the center I get a good even spread of light onto the canopy

As long as I can keep the temps down it should be fine. I hope I'll have enough space when their mature. I figure three mature females will be nice and comfortable and any more could be a crowd.

Is everything OK with a pH of 6.3 after giving them the nutes mentioned earlier? After their last veg feeding, they were at 6.7-6.8.
